Great for Ransomware Investigations and Threat Hunting, but Limited Open-Source Support
What do you like best about the product?
I use Scans for ransomware investigations as well as for threat hunting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited support for open some open source databases
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik scans my data to classify sensitive information, ensuring AI models don’t have access to anything they aren’t supposed to.

The technical support is very efficient, their technicians are very capable.

The graphical interface is not very intuitive, nor are there opportunities for improvement.

What do you like best about the product?
Most notable are Rubrik's speed and ease of use. With just a few clicks, you can easily set up backups, monitor jobs, and perform restores thanks to the clear and simple user interface. I have total confidence in our data security because of the immutability and ransomware protection features, as well as the quick and dependable backup performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much to dislike, but I would prefer backup job reports to have more customizable options and more detailed reporting. Although there is a small learning curve for some of the more complex policy configurations, the system is easy to use once you get the hang of it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our daily backup management and troubleshooting time has decreased thanks to Rubrik's simplification of our backup and recovery procedure. With little effect on production performance, it guarantees the protection of our vital workloads. While the fast restore capabilities allow us to quickly recover files, virtual machines, or even entire systems when necessary, the ransomware protection and immutable backups offer peace of mind against cyber threats. All things considered, it has decreased downtime, enhanced data security, and allowed our IT staff to concentrate on other important initiatives.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Rubrik is how seamlessly it combines data backup, ransomware protection, and cloud integration into one platform. The UI is very clean and modern, which made it surprisingly easy to get used to, even as a first-time user. Their immutable backups and zero-trust architecture give you real confidence that your data is protected, especially against ransomware. I also appreciated how fast and reliable the recovery process is - restoring files or entire systems is quick and doesn’t require jumping through complex steps. Integration with Microsoft 365 and cloud platforms like AWS also works smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Rubrik is overall excellent, but the pricing can be a bit steep, especially for smaller organizations or those just starting with cloud transitions. Some of the advanced features like analytics and threat hunting feel slightly under-documented or require deeper product knowledge to get the most value. Also, depending on your infrastructure, the initial setup and data indexing process can take time — not a dealbreaker, but something to be aware of.

Rubrik helped us solve a major challenge around reliable, fast data recovery and ransomware resilience. Instead of juggling different tools for backup, security, and compliance, we could use one platform to handle it all. It reduced our backup complexity, improved compliance tracking, and gave our team more confidence in our ability to recover from unexpected attacks or failures. It also supports automated policy-based backup, which takes pressure off the IT team and ensures critical data is always protected.

Their sql and oracle backup supprt helping our dba to backuo and restore are somewhat limited.

It allows our agency replace aging IBM tsm. It offers ramsome attack support. It does ok job restoring file for basic user file backup
