This is an excellent tool for data analysis. One of the best tool
What do you like best about the product?
Tableau let's you seamlessly connect to several data source. It has extremely user friendly User interface. The drag and drop functionality makes it very easy to create dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automatic Data refresh to server for live connection is a little tricky. Takes sometime for new users to get used to all the functionalities. Sorting function is not as easy as excel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used it to create metrics dashboard. It has helped us to drastically improve cycle time. This has made customers get better profits in their business and faster production

It's an amazing tool to create great dashboards within minitues.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to make dashboards and frequently use the visualization template of the United States map to show users in different regions. The UX is great and makes it easy to train others on my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There can be too many layers and clicks between steps when building dashboards. Changing the interface and customizing it can be confusing at times - my personalized configurations have not been able to be saved in the past.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Tableau to visualize stories for clients and my team. We need to build reports that show a range of KPI's by U.S. region and Tableau makes this possible for my group in an engaging way.

I'd recommend Tableau - it's the best way to get your data stories across visually.

Container and Dashboard creation is best handled in tableau . Tableau can handle large amount of data . It can be greatly used with ETL tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing as of now. But some extra functionality would be appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dashboard and Story creation. Visuals are best.

Others BI tools are in the market but Tableau serve the purpose better.

Needs more work on analytical capabilities, data science, Performance for larger data sets, documentation with more examples needed

Creating dashboards which drive the business for all departments, subscribing and training everyone to utilize data to make decisions

What do you like best about the product?
Being able to condense our large pricing files and prescription claims data files into a centralized space. We can filter out unneeded information as well as filter out reports for our varying departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
The duplication issue, when joining data sources and creating unions between data sources. Sometimes Tableau will duplicate or create multiple lines of data based on the connection because it cannot handle the join.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to load text files that I would'nt be able to open in Excel and build reporting and dashboards based on that data. The benefits are being able to bring together large sets of data into a consolidated view.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is one of the best tools we have at our disposal. The amount and intricacy of the data that I am able to gather via Tableau is unmatched. I use Tableau almost every day to gather data about my accounts and it allows me to choose the timeframe I would like the data to be gathered from as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing of note. From my experience the amount of data and the accuracy of data is excellent. I wouldn't change anything that I can think of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau allows me to slice data about my accounts in any way I would like and track trends about my account base over time. That benefit alone is invaluable and makes my job much easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend using Tableau to track your accounts and their activity every single day. The trends I am able to find with my account base are extremely helpful and allow me to see which of my accounts have large increases or decreases in performance over time.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau is a great tool for data visualization and automated reports. I really like its features to combine almost all of the other analytics tools. Also, you can export data from excel or google sheets so this is an awesome capability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there is nothing that I dislike about the Tableau desktop, sometimes it may get slow but this is not a very big problem because it enables us to do lots of things for our daily jobs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating automated dashboards for the other departments of the company and with this way then can check their performances regularly without asking any question to other people.

Tableau is the best tool for data visualization and data management. Truly exceptional software, we can do almost everything with our data, create charts, maps, whatever. We can share the reports and dashboard across the company. You can connect with multiple data sources. I think this is the best tool for converting your raw data into meaningful insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
This product comes with a cost, however it offers a free trial for the first 14 days, but if you compare it with the Power BI, Yes Tableau is costly.

Tableau helps me to create raw data into meaningful insights. I made reports and a dashboard for my company. We can use these reports and dashboards as presentations also, and everyone can understand the data with a chart easily.

Accessibility, role based access, centralization, democratization of data, ease of deployment, ease of use - abilty for folks of all skill levels/areas in the organization to access data

not much - its a great tool. sometimes, performance can be an issue, but that is usually a function of the data/systems that we are connecting to the tableau server

data visualization across the enterprise. enabling the team and organization to use only the reports/data they need - ask questions and get answers from the data - moving the organization from a push model where peoples inboxes got flooded with many reports to pull model where you only need to get the reports/data/dashboards you need; ability to share data sources so multiple people/teams can analyze the same data for different business problems

Tableau keeps everything in place with filters, and it's easy to track data.

Sometimes there is a lag in pulling the data, and it shows a blank screen until you reload.

My organization and I are rigorously analyzing the operational and user metrics. Tableau takes the burden off our shoulders to write new queries every time.
