What do you dislike about the product?
1. Tableau from many years offers limited standard views like a bar, scattered, and line plots which can be further improved by adding new plot designs to the palette
2. Tableau dashboards sometimes have performance issues, particularly while connecting to databases or reading from a data dump, which slows down the interaction with the dashboard, this can be fixed by changing the internal search options to get the dashboard up to speed even with extensive data
3. Even though we do have Tableau public, but it has limited features, and pricing can be improved to help mid and small level organizations adopt this tool
4. Not a one-point solution for all the work as it can only be used as an endpoint to showcase the job but lacks in data preparation and transforming skills

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Inaccurate and less efficient reporting through excel macros and manual works, which is prone to human errors and involves a lot of FTE, and is dependent on FTE. By using Tableau, we can automate the existing dashboards and reports and move them to server, thereby removing the manual dependency and is less prone to errors with interactive visualizations

Tableau Desktop great capacity for BI
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Tableau to create dashboards, as I have used it to analyze data of this type. I have used Tableau Prep, as well as publishing on Tableau Server, among others. I like its ease of use and the great capacity to process a vast amount of information without consuming too many resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to perform some kind of pre-filtering work similar to QlikView, since in Tableau it first loads into memory and then allows filtering. Being able to edit the load from a source and filter it beforehand is something I would like to do. However, the tool is capable of quickly loading a lot of information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis, I have worked with Tableau to create dashboards, with restricted access for certain users, segmenting information, creating drill downs through various data hierarchies.
Data that helps us soar
What do you like best about the product?
the amazing transparency and ability to tailor reports to yourself or team
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes having to take the data and then putting into excel
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
up to date info is now available almost instantly
An amazing software to create visualizations quickly and effectively.
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of adding data of multiple formats such as XLS, CSV, and so on, combined with the suggestion engine that suggests visualizations based on the data you select is very useful. The flexibility and customization options enable you to make the perfect visualization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve may be a bit steep, and it may take some time to get yourself familiar with how to use the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Desktop makes it easy to develop graphs and charts for presenting data. It not only supports simple line charts, bar charts, and pie charts but also supports stacked charts, geo charts, and other complex charts, enabling you to visualize a variety of data in a matter of just a few clicks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau Desktop is a very good choice if you want to develop visualization quickly, especially for generic visualizations. It handles a variety of data types and multivariate data, and you can create charts and graphs by selecting just a few options. It does provide a lot of customization options; however, if you want some specific glyphs, then this is not a good choice,
So much possibility if you know what you're doing
What do you like best about the product?
So many functions and features that there isn't really a limit in what you can do and dashboards you can create.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there is so much you can do, it can be daunting/difficult getting the hang of all the features. I have followed the tutorials and blogs online, but I recommend there should be free certifications for paying Tableau users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to visualise a lot of data into a few dashboards has made analytics a lot more accessible to those who do not know how to work with querying data. It helps speed up the process of decision-making.
