Easy Navigation and Customizable Reporting for Team Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
It is a very easy program to navigate. Working with internal teams, we can create reports with specific views and allows for easy filtering.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not had any issues with Tableau, other than the loading times. With all the data points sometimes it can take a few minutes for report to populate. Filtering these reports also take longer than I would like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reports are a click away, easy to filter popular reports which allow quick insights to the KPIs

Tableau is very easy to learn and publish the report and can scale up as needed

I wish it can source data from SQL store procs.

To summarize data in a graphical and tabular manner

Easy data visualization, easy drag-and-drop analysis, fast dashboards, broad integrations, strong community, powerful calculations features.

Steep learning curve, licensing costs, performance on large datasets, complex publishing, version control limitations, sometimes.

The ability to aggregate multiple data streams and make valuable decisions from the reports.

It requires a dedicated resource who can build the reports.

We have many disparate data sources that aren’t easily reported on. Tableau resolves that problem.

Tableau is very professional and easy to create useful and meaningful dashboards and visualizations.

It can be easy to try to use Tableau as an ETL tool when that is not its primary use case.

It has good reflection of the data in a interactive way.

There are timeout issues when trying to pull data from core.

It simplies the combination of the reporting which ootb core reporting feature is not able to do.

I appreciate Tableau's low-code solution, making it easy for us to use without extensive technical expertise. Its seamless integration with marketing cloud and CRM like Salesforce offers out-of-the-box solutions that significantly aid our data ingestion and dashboard creation. These features help streamline our data processes and enhance our day-to-day operations by providing vital insights directly within our existing CRM infrastructure. This capability is extremely beneficial for our business team to access and analyze opportunities more efficiently.

Nothing its good may be a need to bring more connectors and data cloud makes it interesting

I use Tableau to stitch data from various sources, creating dashboards that assist day-to-day operations. Its low-code solution and connectivity with Salesforce benefit our business team by visualizing CRM data like opportunities and leads.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I find most challenging about Tableau is choosing the right visualizations to effectively convey the story behind our data. This decision can be difficult and is my least favorite aspect of using the tool.

I use this tool to create complex visualizations that combine both interconnected and independent data, allowing me to bring everything together and effectively tell the story of the business.
