Great for Sharing Metrics with Non-Salesforce Users
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to give insight to metrics and KPIs to need-to-know leadership that do not currently have a Salesforce user license.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure of anything that I do not like yet as we are just beginning our Tableau journey.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to pull data from multiple sources to create a viewable look at our metrics. Sales leadership and business owners are able to see the information they need to see.

Tableau’s licensing structure can be cost-prohibitive for scaling teams, and advanced customization requires strong technical expertise. Performance may degrade with large datasets or complex calculations, and collaboration features often depend on Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, adding administrative overhead.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau streamlines enterprise-wide data visualization and analytics, eliminating manual reporting bottlenecks and enabling self-service insights. It integrates seamlessly with diverse data sources, allowing teams to consolidate metrics and track KPIs in real time. The platform empowers business users to uncover trends, monitor performance, and make data-driven decisions faster—enhancing operational transparency, strategic agility, and overall business intelligence maturity.

The ability to build interactive dashboards with filters, parameters, and drill-downs is a huge advantage

I dislike the data cleaning and ETL capabilities are not as strong as dedicated tools like Alteryx, Power Query, or Python-based workflows

Great Data Analysis, but Field Mapping Needs Improvement

The ability to quickly slice and dice all the data is very useful, and once a report is set up, accessing it is straightforward.

Mapping fields from another program so that the data can be displayed correctly

I like that Tableau enables us to put multiple visualizations in one dashboard, offering a better and more user-friendly experience than using Excel. I've found Tableau's visual representation invaluable for identifying well-performing versus underperforming company segments. The assistance from Megan AI in resolving issues is also a key benefit.

It's slow.

In my opinion, this is the best BI tool available, and with the addition of agentforce, it has become even more powerful.
