Fast, Interactive Dashboards for QA Insights with Tableau

  • January 25, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Tableau is how easily and quickly it turns data into clear, interactive visualizations. As a QA Analyst Engineer, I use it in my day-to-day work to validate large datasets, track error trends, and monitor test execution metrics without having to manually rummaging spreadsheets. Its drag-and-drop interface makes it straightforward to build dashboards that surface anomalies, failures, and patterns in test results, so I can spot issues faster and stay on top of what’s happening. Another big upside is how Tableau can handle large volumes of data from different sources. I can easily integrate easily Tableau with databases, test management tools, logs etc. and implement seamlessly. Also the customer service is great and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Performance can sometimes be an issue when working with very large datasets, detailed logs, or multiple live connections. In QA, we occasionally analyze millions of records from automation results, and dashboards can start to feel sluggish if they aren’t properly optimized. Another thing is Licensing cost which is also something to consider, especially for teams that only need lightweight reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau solves the problem of turning large, messy QA data into meaningful, easy-to-understand insights. In a Quality environment, data is often spread across test management tools (like JIRA, TestRail, Trello, etc.), automation frameworks (Playwright, Cypress, Selenium), CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and databases. Tableau helps bring all of that information together so we can analyze quality metrics (bug trends, defect density, etc.) in one place, instead of jumping between multiple systems. It also addresses the burden of manual reporting by updating dashboards automatically, which saves time and reduces human error.

Great Community and Plenty of Data Source Connection Options

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great community, and lots of data source connection options.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI could be a bit more intuitive. For example, it would help to be able to access all the different data sources easily from one place, rather than having to switch tabs to view the corresponding data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several ad metrics that are easier to track in Tableau, since the data is available in BigQuery. We just need a job to periodically update Tableau’s copy of the data so everything stays current and works as expected.

Powerful Visualization, But Challenging Advanced Features

  • January 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Tableau has several prompts or the Show Me button, where I can choose what I want my final chart to look like and only have to add the data it tells me it needs. It makes building in Tableau a lot easier and faster than starting from scratch and is a good way to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the steep learning curve for advanced features, which feels unreachable for casual users or anyone other than a fully committed data analyst. I have seen drop-downs that have effects on maps in Tableau, and while dynamic workbooks are neat, they require a lot of careful setup. I wish there was a button or trigger to add filters more easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau to compile data on day-to-day operations. It solves the problem of inaccessible data by enabling me to visualize it, making it clear what problems or issues need fixing.

Intuitive Visualization, Handles Large Data Well

  • January 21, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Tableau's usability. It's easy to use and simple to understand, even for a non-IT person. It can handle large datasets well. I also find that Tableau uses easy words that even a non-tech person can understand. Compared to Power BI, it's better at handling large datasets and works well with metrics like calculated fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
It sometimes slows down while using some charts when handling large datasets. Some charts get stuck when using large datasets, which needs to be adjusted. I do not understand why it gets stuck while using big datasets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Tableau for data visualization, solving my analytical needs with charts and KPIs. It's easy to use, even for non-IT people, and handles large datasets better than Power BI, especially with metrics like calculated fields.

Data visualization: from data to interactive dashboards

  • January 20, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Tableau for the past 3 years to design interactive dashboards and connect to multiple data sources such as SQL Server, BigQuery, and Excel. I also work with large data volumes, and the visuals are professional and easy to understand. Features like LODs and the available chart options are used heavily in my projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, performance issues arise when working with large datasets or when I use a live connection. These are only minor issues; otherwise, I liked it the most.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to create graphical models for presentation and emails also. I use it to model complex data sets into a usable format. The community forums have helped me a lot throughout the process.

Tableau’s Strong Community and Mature Platform Make BI Problems Easy to Solve

  • January 18, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like about Tableau is its very strong community. You can find BI solutions ranging from the simplest issues to the most complex ones. It is a mature and well-established platform that has been in use for many years, with strong attention to user needs. So far, I haven’t encountered a level of complexity that I couldn’t solve or implement a solution for using Tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I don’t like is that the system is quite complex to operate. It requires a BI analyst or developer for proper maintenance, and hands-on experience is essential to manage it effectively. At times, the platform can be overly complex, and for small businesses, I don’t think it is the most suitable tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
What Tableau solves for me is the ability to visualize data and develop complex logic directly within the platform, without the need to manipulate the data before bringing it into the system. Of course, the more structured and aggregated the data is, the better the system performs in terms of response time and calculation speed.

Centralized Insights with Easy Manipulation

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like having everything in one place with Tableau. It's nice that information can be manipulated fairly easily, which helps me gather necessary feedback from coaches. I also find it helpful that having different tabs allows for segregating information easily. The initial setup of Tableau was very simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, the abundance of information and graphs can be daunting, and the timing of updates can also impair the information we have at our fingertips.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau consolidates my stats in one place, making it easy to monitor performance and efficiencies. It helps me manipulate information and gather feedback from coaches efficiently.

One-Stop Shop for Seamless Reporting

  • January 15, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like my Tableau dashboard when I log in, as I can save certain views of my favorite reports. It's great because I can just quickly click favorites and all my reports are there, lined up and named the way I want them. It's easy to click them, and then they populate. Tableau allows me to capture multiple sites on the reports, or I can drill down to select a single site and just get statistics for that one location. I also appreciate how it serves as a one-stop shop for all my reporting needs. It gives my regional managers a dashboard on specific metrics, which they can print, share with store teams, and use to develop action plans aligned with our P and Ls.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this point, I don’t really have anything I don’t like about Tableau
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau is a one-stop shop for my reporting. It helps me track KPIs and P&L achievements daily to yearly. My regional managers get personalized dashboards, simplifying the development of action plans aligning with financial goals.
