Intuitive Visualizations, But Needs Better Integration

  • December 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the UI is pretty easy and very simple. I find it very helpful that Tableau automatically suggests different types of visualizations, which I think is the best feature. The region-specific visualizations, like the world map, are also nice and make the tool more interesting for me. The automatic suggestions for visualizations based on sales or spend volumes are particularly useful because they simplify creating reports and dashboards. This automatic feature helps me a lot by making the process easier, especially when I have to analyze spend volumes by supplier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Oh, Tableau Desktop is a bit slow. That's what I feel. The integration with Microsoft apps could be improved. When I use Power BI, it's simple to launch through Teams or embed into my Excel apps, but that's not the case with Tableau. So if we can focus on a better integration, that will be very nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps me collect and collate data from Excel and ERP solutions, making it easy to create reports and dashboards. Its visualization suggestions simplify analyzing sales and spend volumes, automatically summarizing data, which makes my life easier.

Also, the initial setup was very, very easy, which made getting started with Tableau smooth and hassle-free. The integration with Excel is also something I appreciate as it complements my workflow perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the high cost.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau makes turning data into visuals super easy, even for people who aren’t hardcore data folks. The drag-and-drop dashboard builder is smooth, and the visuals look clean right out of the box. It’s great for quick insights and sharing reports with the team without needing to write complex queries.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes be slow when handling really large datasets, especially if the source isn’t well-optimized. Also, managing licenses and permissions can get a bit confusing in bigger organizations. A few things in the interface still feel like they could be made simpler.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau helps us visualize complex data and spot trends faster. Instead of digging through raw tables, we can see patterns instantly and make quicker business decisions. It’s also handy for creating dashboards that non-technical users can understand with zero explanation.
