I use Tableau mostly for reporting and dashboarding purposes. I utilize Power Platform when I require numerous business rules and need a quick prototype. For enterprise reporting, I use TIBCO Spotfire. Although I do not use Tableau directly, my customers' companies do.

What do you like best about the product?
Tableau has the best blend of drag and drop ease and advanced analytics features. A non-technical person with clean data can build a dashboard with almost not experiencing. An experienced analyst with a good understanding of design and SQL can create apps that no similar tool can compete with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Salesforce is dragging Tableau down by attaching a bunch of anchors to it. They've added a lot of new features with bad naming conventions that muddle up a great tool. Tableau pulse, tableau agent, tableau + are all interesting concepts but they should focus on making dashboard rather than making things tangential to making dashboards.

Most recently tableau has helped us trace back products getting damaged under normal use so to faulty packaging. This helped us on waste, fix our products.

The Tableau UI is an easy to learn, wonderful tool for any aspiring analyst or business leader to visualize the most important data in any sector of business. It is truly a game changer to make not only informed decisions, but supported decisions to move the needle for business.
What do you dislike about the product?
The automatic fonts being so light are an annoyance, as well as auto enabling the Keep Only/Exclude Tooltip option.

Tableau is aiding in my job tasks of modernizing reporting processes in the company I work for. Transitioning from Access, Metaviewer, and Excel is a breeze with Tableau.

Tableau is a user friendly software that allows ANY user to pick it up quickly. The account team is always willing to help and they respond quickly.

What is most valuable?
The most beneficial feature of Tableau for me is its user interface, which offers a quick and easy drag-and-drop facility. Another advantage is the site administration, allowing for efficient content management and security without requiring server admin intervention. This ease of maintaining content and managing access control at the site level distinguishes Tableau from Spotfire, where admin duties are restricted and can cause delays.
What needs improvement?
I find that customizations in Tableau are not intuitive, and it should be easier to write HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The usual technical support is not up to the mark unless it is elite support. Pricing is also a concern for me as it is expensive compared to TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise licensing and Microsoft Power Platform.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been familiar with Tableau for close to ten years.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
Tableau's data blending capabilities are an added feature, but I do not frequently use them because data is often properly structured in databases and data warehouses before reporting.
How are customer service and support?
I find Tableau's technical support to be good with elite support, but it struggles with usual, general support. Two years ago, I rated the usual support six or seven out of ten.

I think Tableau is expensive compared to TIBCO Spotfire Enterprise licensing and Microsoft's Azure and Power Platform.

I work with TIBCO Spotfire, Power BI, and a little bit of Tableau in addition to Microsoft Azure products.
What other advice do I have?
Overall, Tableau is a very good tool. I would rate it eight out of ten. For business visualization, I would still recommend Tableau to others.

Its easy to use and can understand data from and analyst’s view point and creat dashboards from the business intelligent’s point of view.

Still need to understand how to have less loading time for larger data
