What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and display large data files for visual representation.

Nothing in particular though took longer than expected to fully earn all of the functionalities

One solid point for Tableau Server is controlling users' access to folders, dashboards, data sources, and groups.
Access permissions can be very detailed and manage the ability to edit, view, publish, share resources, information, data sources, and even pieces of a selected dashboard.

What do you dislike about the product?
You need to be aware of discrepancies between the versioning of Tableau Server and Tableau Desktop, as an older version might not support work done on more updated versions. Consistency across products can be challenging since there are no reminders to keep both software in sync.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving user permissions and access is a critical problem that Tableau Server addresses perfectly. However, you have to plan which kind of licenses you require as they come with different price tags and features.

Seek advise fromTableau Server software representatives to have them analyze which licenses will fit best your needs and make a plan on how many of those licenses you need for you and your team as well as your tech requirements.

It is helpful to customize and draw different graphs, charts, etc, the products suggestive features to choose a type of presentation based on data is amazing

Sometimes it tends to provide incorrect options without logic, so one needs to pay attention when he starts working on it. The online version is sometimes very slow and takes time to display the result.

It helps me to visualize the data by slicing the data as per my requirement and helps me to take decisions as per the requirement.

Obviously, It is one of the wonderful tools available in the market for data visualization and keeping track of accounts
Valuable for real-time decisions; takes more time to build up a useful dashboard than you'd think
What do you like best about the product?
I like that once you have designed an effective dashboard, you don't need coding abilities to make data-informed decisions because the visualization software is responsive and insightful. You can play with numerous scenarios while at your desk and get some data-driven insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate how few people understand how much work is required to create a genuinely valuable dashboard. It's laborious, iterative, and time-consuming to get an available draft up. Most people don't understand the amount of labor. It helps to have a champion in management at your back.

I'm primarily using it for lead generation and prospecting. We can use this software to decide who is (statistically) worth pursuing. We can find little insights about our most valuable customers that we might have overlooked.

I recommend you are:
a) championed by a management team who understands how much time it's going to take to iterate your way into a tool that flows well with your broader work processes,
b) be ready to accept that you're going to have to find your own time to invest because it will take more than people think

What do you like best about the product?
I found the customer support very prepared and very helpful, even in the case of video calls to better understand the problem and propose possible solutions. I find this platform very useful to quickly understand some data insights.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it slightly difficult to understand how to manage spaces, the fact for example that to insert text you need to insert a container is not very agile. Also, there are some cool features, such as the ability to enter your organization's color palette, which are only possible in the desktop version, it would be interesting to have them in the mobile version as well.

The usefulness of the tool lies in the fact that it is possible to show my team or potential customers the data in an easily understandable way, so that after my first analysis, for them the message that the data brings with it is immediately understood.

Layout changes from desktop to server after uploading a locally worked version. Lags a little for dashboards with huge data. Editing on the server and working on dashboards is not as good as the desktop version

Creating dashboards for a business team to take decisions. Others can easily access using the link without downloading the whole workbook. Business team uses these dashboards on a daily basis with ease for taking high value decisions

Integration is a bit difficult for firsttime user. and, dashboard refresh is painful.

Tableau Server can be installed on a cloud storage service or on a local server and we preferred to our on-premise server. Tableau Server enables us to modify your dashboards.
