Tableau is User friendly and drag and drop the data, and tableau creates the chart for you. It's very useful to understand the trends. Tableau provides so many charts options to visualize the data. The processing is fast so you can manage large data set in tableau.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are from a non-technical background, so tableau is complex to learn if we compare it to Power BI.
Tableau is more expensive, and you can not create a custom visual in tableau.
You have to invest some time in training if you want to use it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I created reports for the finance team in tableau. We have reports in excel, and its very complex to use and understand, so we created reports in tableau. Tableau is user-friendly and everyone can easily analyze the information.

This tool is a high-speed and responsive tool with a drag & drop feature which makes your work very easy. There is a whole list of data sources that you can connect with to read the data.

Tableau Desktop great capacity for BI

  • November 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have used Tableau to create dashboards, as I have used it to analyze data of this type. I have used Tableau Prep, as well as publishing on Tableau Server, among others. I like its ease of use and the great capacity to process a vast amount of information without consuming too many resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to perform some kind of pre-filtering work similar to QlikView, since in Tableau it first loads into memory and then allows filtering. Being able to edit the load from a source and filter it beforehand is something I would like to do. However, the tool is capable of quickly loading a lot of information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis, I have worked with Tableau to create dashboards, with restricted access for certain users, segmenting information, creating drill downs through various data hierarchies.

An amazing software to create visualizations quickly and effectively.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of adding data of multiple formats such as XLS, CSV, and so on, combined with the suggestion engine that suggests visualizations based on the data you select is very useful. The flexibility and customization options enable you to make the perfect visualization.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve may be a bit steep, and it may take some time to get yourself familiar with how to use the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tableau Desktop makes it easy to develop graphs and charts for presenting data. It not only supports simple line charts, bar charts, and pie charts but also supports stacked charts, geo charts, and other complex charts, enabling you to visualize a variety of data in a matter of just a few clicks.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Tableau Desktop is a very good choice if you want to develop visualization quickly, especially for generic visualizations. It handles a variety of data types and multivariate data, and you can create charts and graphs by selecting just a few options. It does provide a lot of customization options; however, if you want some specific glyphs, then this is not a good choice,

So much possibility if you know what you're doing

  • October 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
So many functions and features that there isn't really a limit in what you can do and dashboards you can create.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because there is so much you can do, it can be daunting/difficult getting the hang of all the features. I have followed the tutorials and blogs online, but I recommend there should be free certifications for paying Tableau users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to visualise a lot of data into a few dashboards has made analytics a lot more accessible to those who do not know how to work with querying data. It helps speed up the process of decision-making.

Powerful and flexible analytics solution

  • October 21, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful feature of us is the ability to work with very large datasets. I also appreciate that it has comprehensive import/export functionality and live data source connections, including SQL databases, that are fast and reliable. The reports and dashboards are mobile friendly, with good performance. Tableau Desktop is easier to learn and use than Python, but also supports Python and R for more complex calculations or other coding use cases, so it feels like a good mix between being approachable for a wide range of potential users while also having the depth to support power users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many UI elements when performing analytics or constructing visualizations are not completely intuitive. This may be necessary to provide the more comprehensive functionality of the desktop product, but it does require some investment in training and/or patience with researching user tips as you go. Definitely designed for power users, unless you are only viewing dashboards created by others. Aesthetic options for visualization are somewhat limited, even though the tools themselves are reasonably powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Depending on your use case, there are often limited analytics and large dataset visualization capabilities within Excel, which is typically our main workflow tool for quantitative information. Tableau Desktop allows us to create powerful dashboards more quickly and with more features and functionality than other similar tools. Cost is also reasonable compared to competing solutions, with a large installed base and strong user community that helps when learning the product or coming across unforeseen issues.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There is a reasonably generous trial offer, so it's easy to try out if you are unsure that it will be right for your use case.
