Veeam, all I use for backup and recovery on ESXI
What do you like best about the product?
It is full of different features. Any option you could ever need for backup and recovery is in here. Whether you want to do it at a file system level or VM level, there are options for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Veeam backup and recovery can only be installed on a Windows computer; I would prefer running it on Linux as it's less resource-intensive but no options available for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I couldn't find a method I liked for backing up my virtual machines. Then I found Veeam, which does what I need it to do, and more, every time I open the program, I see more features I didn't know about.

Free perfect backup and restore sollution for SMB
What do you like best about the product?
Free for 10 backup sources and very easy to setup and use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface is not intuitive as aspected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very easy multi-source backup to the backup target device and good notification via e-mail.
Veeam B&R - a solid solution with many features
What do you like best about the product?
I like the stability of Veeam and the constant improvements they make to keep up with the ever-changing world of software. I've been using Veeam for years and as a backup solution for our VMWare environment, it has given us peace of mind knowing our backups are stable and available without issues. Veeam has allowed us to recover servers when they've gone down, recover deleted files for users and spin up servers in a QA environment from our production environment when needed. Added features like cloud backup, O365 backup and protection from ransomware are added bonuses.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like about Veeam is the fact that if you end up with a corrupted backup file, like when a hard drive fails or some other event happens, there's no way to remove the corrupted backup file from inventory cleanly. You basically have to start your backup set over from scratch.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam has given us peace of mind that our data is stored securely and archived according to our RTO's and RPO's. There has been little need for tech support and in those cases, the issues ended up being with the hardware that was being used for the backups.
Veeam Backup & Replication just works
What do you like best about the product?
The ease, flexibility, and intuitiveness. It's a simple but potent backup and replication. The newest version (v11) has CDP and does storage snapshots if you have the appropriate license.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't dislike anything at this moment. Their support is good when I need them. I'm good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not only do I backup and sleep well at night, but I've also been able to document our DR plan and incorporate it into our IR playbooks.
Best backup solution for virtual machines
What do you like best about the product?
It just works and is simple to use and navigate
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps backup speed could be improved without the need for WAN accelerators
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to back up all our HyperV, and VMWare hosts and VM's stored on SAN's with Veeam B & R. It's a one-stop solution.

Veeam Best Backup & Replication Tool for Vmware Data Center
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam backup and replication is very cool, based on my experience backup and restore the vmware ESXI very fast and effective with zero bit lost of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
it work well already i have no comment about this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
previously we use vmware snapshot but later on it crash the VM, so since we start using the veeam backup and replication we don't have this problem anymore, we can backup and restore VM quickly.
Easy to setup and use Backup & Replication solution
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it was to set up and start using. Also, reporting is also great, and I get email notifications on job completion status, so I do not have to log in to the system every day to view status. Another great feature is the instant recovery to turn up a backup right away then migrate it to another datastore to get your VM running faster.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that i could deploy the whole setup on a linux server, but you have to install the main setup on a windows server then you can turn up linux repositories to connect to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I able to backup and replicate my environment and even archive to the cloud. i have been able to recover lost data from backup without even having to restore a server with the backup file browser.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should do a demo of VeeamOne to see if you need the extra reporting features. The reports can be helpful if you need to send compliance data to anyone.
Veeam is a great answer for VMware Backup
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam takes care of everything! It truly is a "set it and forget it" software that is easy to configure, easy to use in recovery, and easy to test to ensure that all is working properly
What do you dislike about the product?
The hardest part for me was not being able to use my old ways of restoring SQL Backups - but once I learned the Veeam interface, I was good to go!

What do you like best about the product?
The Veeam Backup & Replication allows to replicate the backup data not only locally but also externally such as cloud storage in Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure services. Since the repositories and services for backup and disaser recovery are available in a cloud service provider, the replication as well as disaster recovery plans are more efficient. Moreover, this tool allows us to maintain the backup job as well as the storages altogether to maintain and monitor the jobs centrally.
What do you dislike about the product?
As most business environments are changing to remote or work from anywhere business infrastructure in operations, web-based access to use the services is more competitive in business. However, the current versions of Veeam Backup and Replication services are only allowed application-based admin access, which requires connecting the server/services locally. This is kind of against the flexibility and effectiveness of using web-based trends in most software and service products in the industry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary reason of replacing our old backup and replication solutions with Veeam Backup and Replication was that it supports hosting the backup data in FedRamp certified cloud storage such as Amazon Web Services S3 Storage or Microsoft Azure Storage. This was an essential requirement to host our backup data for our clients, who are primarily federal agencies.
