Best backup for small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to setup and get a backup you know works! The reintroduction of self managed cloud backup is a welcome change as well
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be nice if we could backup directly from our Synology NAS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to have a trusted backup that barely requires any upkeep. I don't need to do constant testing because I know what we get from Veeam is accurate. The speed of which recovery operates also heavily reduces any downtime we may have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try a trial and put a single small VM into the system. See if it works for you.

Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
It was eady to integrate with our existing system. Easy to use interface and solved a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some more features that could be built into the next versions and we look forward.

It was fast to deploy and allowed us to focus on other areas.

The price list, discounts and the partners support.

Yes. Replication and HA of virtual machines vmware running.

Best backup software by far
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use, and packed pull of features. The software support has always been fast and good at their job when we have need them. Your backups are done reliably and recovering data has never been easier,
What do you dislike about the product?
The new licensing with update 4. Our new vendor requires we buy 10 packs of licenses. So when you get requests to add workstations backup's for 1 or 2 people you cant just purchase the licenses by 1 or 2. You have to buy 10 and sit on the others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are backing our virtual servers and physical workstations. And we have a protected workstation backup for those with laptops,
Recommendations to others considering the product:
After using Commvault and Backup Exec Veeam is so much easier setup and to use that the other guys and make performing reliable backup so much easier.
Great low cost option
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam excels at providing solutions for customers looking to re-utilize old hardware or other cheap bulk storage options. Also great for setting up in a pinch as no long term commitment is required. Given you have the hypervisor credentials you can be up and running with Veeam backups in under and hour. Configuration is simple and straightforward, you control and own the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The various Veeam packages and options can be slightly confusing, the licensing model and what tier you actually need can be less than clear.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great for establishing Day 0 backups for a client that needs them ASAP. Zero upfront cost in software and a management PC has very little hardware requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would not recommend for long term usage unless backup copy or offsite replication is configured.
A trusted Enterprise Solution that just works.
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam Availability Suite is a great product that is relatively easy to install. Works as advertised and keeps getting better as new features are added.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to have CDP included in the replication module. Additionally support for CIFS. Both of these features have been promised and are on the road map but have yet to find their way into the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Veeam has saved my bacon more than a few times. The backups work well for both Windows based and Linux based VMA;'s. I have yet to find a situation where a recovery hasn't worked the way it is supposed to. My team rely on Veeam. I have used other solutions but none have worked as effectively as Veeam. The reporting functionality of Veeam One which is included in the suite is great as well.

Works Great
What do you like best about the product?
Easy, reliable way to backup virtual stuff. Able to set and forget for the most part.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing licensing when you only want to backup some VMs vs all can be a bit tricky, but if you pin them to hosts and set the licenses on those hosts, it will work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business continuity. We moved off Backup Exec years ago it is is miles better.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Works great for on-prem backup of virtual servers. Just be aware to properly licenses if you have automatic v-motions that may move a VM to an unlicensed host.
A backup product that just works
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the product has an easy to use UI and I don't have to worry about the product failing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the slowness of update releases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a clear backup plan is very important to my business.
Veeam is my go to backup solution
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, GUI is clear, works reliably, love the advanced features such as file level recovery from mailboxes and AD. Support team at Veeam are really good
What do you dislike about the product?
My only criticism is that the error messages it produces can sometimes be vague and not mean a lot making troubleshooting difficult

Protecting the business mission critical data to protect against the worst.
Gold Standard For Backups
What do you like best about the product?
The software seamless integrates with all enterprise grade hyper-visors such as VMware, Hyper-V, and more being added every year. The storage integrations are also growing each year, as the hardware storage snapshot integrations make backups even faster and less impactful on production networks.
Being able to use a singular backup software for workstation backups, virtual machine backups, replication jobs, Office 365 backups, as well as off-site copies makes this a near all-in-one suite of backup capabilities.
Best feature by far is the Enterprise Manager, when configured properly allows fellow employees and teammates the capability to self-service provide themselves file restorations.
Being able to use a singular backup software for workstation backups, virtual machine backups, replication jobs, Office 365 backups, as well as off-site copies makes this a near all-in-one suite of backup capabilities.

Some of the word choices inside of the application for restorations can be confusing to help desk staff.
The licensing of this software can be quite convoluted, as items are rated on a points system.
Consistency across the various backup endpoints is sometimes lacking. We utilized VMWare vCloud Director, and this product compatibility compared to ESXi or Hyper-V is incredibly lacking.

Daily backups of all production data should be the norm, and Veeam provides this capability via smooth working software. Being able to backup production workloads of all kinds, cloud, on-prem, Office 365, and workstations.

Start with the base product, and grow into the rest of the suite.
