Make your VM Always Available
What do you like best about the product?
It provides a rapid recovery of the VM Servers and databases, and have a feature to monitor and get alerted for any operations there that might have a major impact.
What do you dislike about the product?
I actually pretty impressed and love this software, it might be good if it can be used for physical server as well

Backing up, Fast Recovery,, Avoiding harm actions, data loss avoidance, assure the availability of the server

Veeam as a Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Veeam is a great backup solution, its system is completely different from the current we have because it provides lot of options, and it gave us a lot of options to work in the backup and restore process.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were trying to implement Veeam in my company,, but we didn't have enough time to check all the functionalities, but the extension of Veeam itself couldn't allow us to check all the info backed up. We unfortunately couldn't keep working on that, so that is the only thing we dislike about that software solution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We unfortunately couldn't keep working on that, but in the near future we hope to try again with this backup and restore solution.

Veeam is a great backup solution, its system is completely different from the current we have and it gave us a lot of options to work with the backup and restore process.
Veeam Provides Robust Availability
What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Veeam products for quite some time and what I like best is how Veeam has become less and less intrusive on environments and the speed at which tasks are completed. Very good backend integration with all the major players in the VM and Storage arena.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike about this product. Sometimes upgrading from version to version can expose issues that need to be worked through. Support is very good about assisting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The backup window for our data was an issue, with the use of Veeam we are able to quickly backup and get data to our DR location.

"The only" choice for virtual machine backups
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to setup backups, replicas and copies. Takes no time at all to ensure you are fully covered for both backups and disaster recovery. Expansion of the solution to tape archiving or replicas remotely is a doddle and if there is any issues, you can get through to a fantastic support team in no time and they work hard to get you sorted and backing up again in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Taken a little time to get access to the physical server backup aspect, so we can have all backup under one roof. Its still in its infancy but seems to be going in the right direction.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This was implemented as a means to ensure that our virtual platform was covered with backups and replicas, to meet the need for continuity and recovery from any eventuality. It as done that quickly and easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you plan out your backup strategy and storage requirements carefully... this product is excellent and you can recover quickly from any issue but if you have chosen cheap backup media (IE slow or manual rotation) then you could delay your team inadvertently.

What do you like best about the product?
All virtual backups in one spot. Good GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Long time. Complicated to find the right settings for each indivdual thing.

Make sure it is the right choice. It is very easy to set up, a little difficult to be a administrator finding all the settings.

Beeing able to manage all my backups in one place and without issues.

Some bugs that lasted more than we hope for. But the upgrades take care of most of all problems.

All backups for all IT infrastructure are managed in one single place and with low resources.

Read all technical information to make sure your case is covered. Ask for future updates and new freatures to see if this covers all your needs.
Great for replicaiton!
What do you like best about the product?
Setup is easy and you can set up to 48 points of replication, which is great for our time sensitive systems that process money. Getting a system back up and running when the original VM has failed is also easy, and makes everyone's life SO easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found a way to push backups (full backups) to AWS or Azure yet via a plugin that exists somewhere, but I can't find it. It would be nice if that plugin was easily available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have several high up time servers that can't be down...ever. Veeam allows us to quickly and easily get our setup back up and running in the event of a catastrophe. We have had to use it twice in the 3.5 years I have been here, but not since we upgrades our back end. One thing we realized our first time was that we weren't setting enough replication points, which changed rather quickly once we realized this.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out how much data you can lose, and make sure you spread out your replication points to meet that need. We do about every two hours, but only so we have a longer replication history to go back to.

Seek Training, spend time and test back ups completely. Never try to under-power or under-licence your installation.
