Great backup product for physical machines
What do you like best about the product?
Free for any machine if you don't need central management and supports reverse incremental
What do you dislike about the product?
MAnagement of agents is payed for but hey, i guess you can't get everything for free
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this for our physical server (only 1 i the company) and also have used it to backup a VM from one Hypervisor type and restored to a different Hypervisor type VM and worked perfectly rather than converting the VM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
with the ability to do bare metal recovery and reverse incrementals and beig free if you only need for a few VMs, i highly recommend you try it.

What do you like best about the product?
Enterprise data protection for ALL workloads including virtual, physical and cloud-based workloads with a single management console
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing is a little bit wonky for servers in a cluster, some times you may have to revoke a license
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Daily backups from storage snapshots to multiple targets including the cloud provides us with the ability for our clients to meet our RPO/RTO targets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check it it, start with a trial and you will be surprised how easy it is to get the application deployed and running your first backup

What do you like best about the product?
Veeam VBR is very simple - given the right environment you can go from no backups to complete protection in a very short amount of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The simplicity is double-edged, and means that it lacks power in terms of configuration options. It works very well in a strictly VMware and Windows environment - once you venture outside of that things begin to get rocky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a highly virtualized environment based upon VMware, including multiple sites around the globe. We wanted a tool that was simple to use and that we could standardize across all of our environments.

Veeam is super easy to install and use on a daily basis. It has made small jobs so much easier now that we know they are backed up

Like every software, it has some quirks here and there but outpaces the competition

I like how organized it is and how well it works with VMs. It is a good coverall solution for backuo and the like.

I dislike how expensive it is to really get all of the best functionality.

We are solving the everpresent problem of data loss when a computer breaks. This alows is to push computers a little farther because we know we have a reliable safety net.
Backup all work loads and migration to new DC using replication tool
What do you like best about the product?
Able to seed replicas that we are using to migrated to a new hosting platform in a new data center in a different state. It's a powerful tool that is easy to setup and maintain.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some complexities within the tool to likely meet unique use cases for their user base. But for those that only need the out-of-the-box functionality, the complexity and options can get in the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Protection of all workloads to include replication for a migration to a new data center. Also plan to use the replication feature to assist in the event of a DR scenario.
Restores made easy
What do you like best about the product?
Backups are easy, restores are easy and if required the technical support is great

I have used sure backup and it works well, but it’s not the most intuitive part of Veeam.

Backups are quick and reliable compared to other products. Restores are super easy

What do you like best about the product?
What caught my attention was the speed ability to back up files especially when you are in a hurry or trying to get things done on timely manner is very superb! Replicating and recovering of data amazes me as well as Veeam can do it in short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I never had any serious complain or problems using veeam as it was very easy to manage. The only disadvantage I can think of would be the cost but it's not really a negative thing because I'm telling you paying that cost is very much worth it as you can do it alot faster than other software
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a human resource specialist, my job is very time consuming so with veeam I was able to backup and restore or sometimes replicate files that are needed to get my job done without wasting too much time and energy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Well if you want to get things done efficiently and less time consuming then this would be the best software to use because it was 3x faster or maybe even more compare to others.

there is really nothing i dislike as this product has saved so much time and aggravation for us with precise backups and file restores as well as VMs i have nothing bad to say
