Veeam Data Platform copies data very efficiently. Our clients choose the solution because it is simple and inexpensive.
What needs improvement?
Veeam Data Platform lacks cyber security tools. The solution's competitors, Rubrik and Cohesity, have much better tools for analyzing data to determine whether there has been a cyber attack.

I've not had any problems associated with the scalability of the solution. It doesn't have any big limitations. Our customers for Veeam Data Platform are mostly small to medium enterprises.

Cohesity has some solid features around deployment flexibility. Cohesity has functionality over and above backup and replication. Rubrik is vastly superior in terms of its cybersecurity credentials.

The solution's deployment time really depends on the size of the project. Depending on the size of the project, it may take days or weeks.

The solution's licensing is relatively simple.
On a scale from one to ten, where one is cheap and ten is expensive, I rate the solution's pricing a five out of ten.

Veeam Data Platform is very flexible and provides many options for storing data on several different platforms, depending on what the customer wants to achieve. The solution's deployment requires two people, including a networking and storage person. Managing the solution takes a quarter of an FTE or one. Veeam Data Platform is less functional than other products but is more cost-effective.

I use the solution in my company mainly as a server backup for Windows Server.
What needs improvement?
The cost of the product is an area that would prevent me from using it in the future. The aforementioned area needs to be considered for improvement.

I have experience with Veeam Data Platform for three to four years.

The tool's stability is good.

The tool's scalability is good, but it can get very pricey.
I personally use the product for around ten endpoints, a couple of servers, and VMs.

The product's initial setup phase was not the easiest one I have dealt with recently. It has some level of complexity to it. It is good that the tool has built-in ransomware protection. The tool protects workloads on Azure, Blue Prism Cloud, and AWS.
The product's installation phase was okay.
The solution can be deployed in a few steps. It's not the type of product that you set up, and forget about it since it needs some more steps to get it started. It is important that the tool remains reliable. Some other backup solutions provide the backup features, and then you have to get back to them every week and sometimes every day to make sure that nothing has stopped it from working.

Compared to the other solutions in the market, I chose Veeam Data Platform since I knew that it was one of the top products. The product also offers a community that I wanted to try.
What other advice do I have?
In terms of data recovery, I use the tool to back up servers and VMs. It is a reliable and easy-to-use tool.
The security features offered by the product are good.
The ease of use when deploying and managing the product is not difficult, especially when you become familiar with Veeam's interface and the way things are organized. In general, the tool is not very complex, especially if we consider the aforementioned aspects.
I think Veeam is one of the two or three best solutions in the market, but users have to balance the course and the things they want to do with the product. One needs to be ready with the resources needed to maintain and keep it even working. It is better to be set up and maintained by an experienced technician.

Veeam Data Platform is not a good solution for customers who do not use VMware. Veeam Data Platform doesn't have storage and needs to integrate with other vendors for storage. Customers using anything other than VMware should clarify all the requirements and limitations of Veeam Data Platform before using it. It is easy to integrate the solution with other systems like Lenovo and Dell.

There is a conflict between the immutability of Veeam backup and replication data and the cloud.

We are benefiting from the the ease of methods of backup and recovery.

Veeam can backup our local severs, plus replicating to our remote site with much of an afford. Their tech and sales support is the best in the industry. They always there to help out, and care of what I want.

initial settings may be confusing. Also some changes need to be make on the databases instead of on the software.

accidents do happens. if an admin removes a server unintensionally, Veeam can easily bring it bring.

I felt that the ease of use and the flexibility with the ease of implementation is a substational advandage. Customer support is geat.

By nature it is easy and transparent and this is a great thing in this day and age.

The solution is very good for backup and replication.
You can use one license for backup without needing additional capacity licenses for backups or updates. It also doesn't require additional licenses to back up to a Git library.
The tool is easy to use and user-friendly. Its data recovery options are good. Veeam Data Platform supports data encryption.

The solution's recovery process is very smooth.

The solution's price could be cheaper. It would be nice if the solution scanned for malware in the backups. A lot of Veeam's vendors are moving to Site Recovery, not just the traditional backup and restore. If that were an area they'd be moving into, then that would be very good.

Veeam Data Platform is a scalable solution. Less than 200 users use the solution in our organization. It's direct on our virtual service, so our users don't have interaction with it.

I've previously worked with different solutions like Veritas Backup and Barracuda Backup. Veeam Data Platform is by far the best solution at the moment.

We worked closely with a third-party consultant to deploy the solution. They knew the product inside out, which made it more efficient. The solution's installation was straightforward and took just a few hours.

Since our Veeam license is perpetual, we only pay for annual maintenance.

My experience with data recovery using the Veeam Data Platform has been very good, smooth, and efficient. The solution is very intuitive and easy to use. It's straightforward, and the layout is nice.
Veeam Data Platform gives us peace of mind and assurance that we have a product backing up our data and that we can retrieve it reliably. One of the biggest problems with other backups is that sometimes, retrieving the data is not as easy as it should be. So, we get peace of mind with the Veeam Data Platform. If in doubt, I recommend users do a trial with the Veeam Data Platform. Once they've tested and seen how easy and reliable it is, they can choose to use the solution.
We've not had to rely on the Veeam Data Platform for disaster. If we were to have a disaster, the solution would give us assurance. The solution is invaluable at the moment.
