Comprehensive Solution with Room for Expense Report Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Deltek Costpoint keeps everything in one place. It works fine for my needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Expense reports for travel is difficult for employees that don't use the system other than timeshares. Even when they use the wizard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Deltek Costpoint for accounting, payroll, and contract organization. Everything is in one place, which I like.
Effortless Contract Management with Intuitive Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use that Deltek Costpoint offers. It's particularly helpful for contract management and compiling all of our data efficiently. The RQ management feature is valuable to me, and I appreciate how clean and concise the purchase orders are. The initial setup with Deltek Costpoint was easy, which was great for our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like there is so much more we could be using dashboards for, but I'm not sure where to get more training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint compiles all of our data and is easy to use, making contract management straightforward with clean and concise purchase orders.
Easy Login and Straightforward Pay Stub Submissions
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to login, and submitting pay stubs is straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a bit load and you have to restart the process to login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making payroll easier for employers and employees to track their hours.
User-Friendly with Accurate Reporting
What do you like best about the product?
I use Deltek Costpoint for the company, and it's user-friendly, which is a big plus. I appreciate its accurate reporting capabilities. The new Command Center is also something I enjoy. When using it with other tools like ADP and Paychex, I find it easy to use. The initial setup was great, and I switched from QuickBooks because Deltek Costpoint provides more reporting tools necessary for our growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there are too many steps during contract setup, and it could be streamlined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint provides accurate reporting and is user-friendly. It's particularly beneficial as it offers the reporting tools that Quickbooks couldn't, which became necessary as the company grew.
Effortless Employee Tracking and Payroll Management
What do you like best about the product?
This software makes it easy to track employee hours and pay types. It also allows me to review daily entries for errors and check everything weekly before signing off.
What do you dislike about the product?
The filters take quite a while to cycle through when I'm searching for specific data. It can be a bit time-consuming to find exactly what I need because of this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to accurately record work hours and time off for my team of over 20 agents, even when they are away from their phones.
DCAA-Approved and Reliable for Government Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
It has been approved by DCAA and other government agencies as long as it is used within GAAP and DCAA guidelines. For larger companies, they have the staff to integrate fairly easily. Smaller companies, not so much.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be clunky and not intuitive to use in alot of functions. Customer support can sometimes be lacking. Not knowledgable and hard to get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows integration of timekeeping and AP. Will calculate and apply indirect rates seamlessly.
Transparent and User-Friendly ERP with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like how Deltek Costpoint is transparent and user-friendly, whether through the web-based or Windows app interface. It's great to be able to switch between them. The application takes a lot of the guessing out of the equation, which makes navigating program management responsibilities easier for me as a financial analyst. Using Deltek Costpoint has made my job easier, and I find myself learning something new every time I use it. I especially love the ability to create different project levels within a level 1 program, such as level 2 for the CLIN and level 3 for the WBS. My experience has been very positive, and I feel there's nothing Deltek Costpoint can't do when managing financials for any given program.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes in the inventory part of Costpoint (“manage inventory projects”), when I am creating new inventory abbreviation and when I click save, the page goes away. I would like to see this improved so that when I save what I am doing, that I am able to still make edits and continue on the same screen as I was using before hitting save

I use Deltek Costpoint to track and manage actuals, costs, and inventory. It simplifies financial management by reducing guesswork with its user-friendly interface, making my job easier and allowing me to learn continuously.

I really enjoy using Deltek/Costpoint because it makes time and expense reporting incredibly efficient and straightforward. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and helps me stay organized without the hassle. It’s a tool I can count on to get things done quickly and accurately, which is a huge win in a busy HR environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
While I really appreciate how helpful and efficient Deltek/Costpoint is—especially for time and expense reporting—I’ve also experienced a few hiccups. Occasionally, the system seems to have a "mind of its own" and has gone down at critical moments. Thankfully, those issues are usually resolved quickly, and the support team is responsive. Despite that, it remains a tool I rely on daily and genuinely value.

I recently attended a Deltek/Costpoint webinar and was highly impressed by the structure and content of the session. The presenters addressed a wide range of pressing questions and concerns with clarity and professionalism. The roundtable discussion was particularly well-executed, offering valuable insights and fostering meaningful dialogue. I appreciate the continued support from the Deltek team and look forward to receiving the link to complete my Deltek Certification.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the automated features to keep track of program costs, which makes it really good with audit of time charges. Deltek Costpoint ensures the correct employee charges to the correct project.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a supervisor has a group of people assigned, they should be able to locate approved PTO more easily, rather than having to go week by week to see approved PTO.

I use Deltek Costpoint for timekeeping, ensuring the correct employee charges to projects, and integrating project costs. I like its automated features for tracking program costs and its effectiveness in auditing time charges.
