Manual Processes Limit Efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
I like i can save multiple pages together in my menu.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could copy and paste certain things in Deltek Costpoint. It is a very manual process. I should be able to copy and paste things into the fields. I think it should be allowed to copy and paste from Excel into the fields.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint handles our manufacturing orders but the process feels very manual, and I wish it allowed for easier data entry like copying and pasting from Excel.

What do you like best about the product?
Been using Deltek Costpoint with my parent organization for several years now. It is very easy to navigate and the menu is self-explanatory and extremely user friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
A Novice or New User would need to get front end training pertaining to the menus and many features of Deltek Costpoint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deltek Costpoint enables corporations, business owners, and Human Resource Teams to track their employees Work Hours, Holiday Schedule, and Time Off status for pay purposes.
Exceptional Timekeeping and Project Accounting Features
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful timekeeping and project accounting
What do you dislike about the product?
Manufacturing/Materials module is not fully connected. There are tables that don't connect, for example, if you want to look at a purchase order line for a part number on a number of POs, you need to pull up all the POs with those lines.

Required government timekeeping and project accounting.

I appreciate Deltek Costpoint for its robustness in managing accounting for government contractors. The software excels at organizing a large number of contracts, over 32 in my experience, and effectively keeps me within budgets. I love the ability to fine-tune budgets within each project, which provides me with the flexibility and control I need to manage finances accurately. Despite the initial setup taking some time to get accustomed to, once familiar, it proves to be very effective in its operation.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that using AI in accounting within Deltek Costpoint could be improved. Additionally, the initial setup took some time to get used to, indicating a potential learning curve that could be streamlined for a better user experience.

I use Deltek Costpoint for organizing over 32 contracts and staying within budgets, allowing me to fine-tune budgets within projects effectively.

I really appreciate the business intelligence capabilities of Deltek Costpoint, which significantly enhance our ability to track and report financial information efficiently. The software's ability to create custom reports is incredibly valuable, especially because many pre-built reports do not satisfy our specific needs. This customization feature allows us to tailor reports to meet niche or advanced reporting requirements, which is crucial for our financial analysis and decision-making processes. Additionally, I find Deltek Costpoint's adherence to DCAA compliance essential, as it offers greater assurance and compliance compared to our previous software, GCS. The initial setup was smooth and manageable, largely thanks to the support from Deltek, which made the transition easier and more straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the unbilled analysis report lacking because it needs to incorporate a project type logic, which is essential for accurate and beneficial reporting. Additionally, the Costpoint planning module did not meet our needs, which forced us to seek a third-party solution, highlighting a gap in its capabilities.

I use Deltek Costpoint for financial tracking, reporting, and DCAA compliance. It solves inventory and procurement challenges and enables custom report creation for niche needs, enhancing business intelligence.

I find that although recent updates are heading in the right direction, Deltek Costpoint still needs a more stable release model to ensure consistent performance. Additionally, there could be better support for on-premise deployments, which would greatly improve the flexibility and user experience for organizations that prefer or require an in-house solution.

I dislike the performance defects in Deltek Costpoint, which impact its performance. Additionally, once these defects are identified, resolutions take longer than expected, which can be frustrating.
