What do you like best about the product?
It has several very useful report types, the features of each of them are very good and any of the compliance team can view/generate a report. features a large number of rules and policies that can be enforced for different types of reported lockouts or special requests. Lastly and most importantly, it presents all the incoming and outgoing traffic flow of our Azure cloud and thus we can have an excellent visualization
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool as such works perfectly and improvements should be made, if any, in various technical and administrative aspects. Another change that should be made or improved is with the documentation of each of the tools that they offer. They should create a repository where we can find everything.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point CloudGuard Posture Management came to strengthen the security that our company was looking for and helped the IT department to achieve excellent network security. It helped the IT department a lot to improve the security posture in the Azure cloud and thus be able to provide better security, allows customizable governance through simple and readable language. You can also manage a multicloud platform based on aws, azure and GCP.

With the single dashboard, we can get the total cloud assets covering the current security posture of every cloud account.
Good centralization, rules management, and automation
What is our primary use case?
One of our company's priorities was to have centralization of all the equipment in a single firewall. With the tools provided by Check Point, we were able to achieve it, and in this way we were able to centralize all the records.
With this implementation, we were able to make more centralized management and of all the rules. It was very comfortable to be able to configure them and manage them and thus be able to make the whole implementation more orderly and be able to carry out our organization along a good path of security administration
How has it helped my organization?
Check Point Security Management came to help us a lot. With this implementation, we were able to generate a firewall rule centralization and management. This helped our IT department to have an order in security and thus be able to centralize it efficiently across all our systems.
By having this implemented, our facilities' security has improved a lot since both employees and external users are audited before entering the network through Check Point Security Management and the rules that make these security filters possible, ensuring consistent protection throughout our infrastructure.
What is most valuable?
Check Point Security Management has a great feature that allows you to automate the request of the automated server. This helps us reduce the administrative effort of the IT department and thus give priority to other things like the security of the company or with the characteristic It provides us with centralization, which helps us with management.
The SmartConsole has provided us with excellent help with the application. It communicates with the administrator and allows us to create policies and also look at the traffic log.
What needs improvement?
The web administration tool that allows administration in the browser must be developed even more. When one tries to enter the panel, the loading delays us, which can be frustrating for users and reduce efficiency in daily operations.
They can also implement version updating to ensure that all users have access to the latest features and security patches seamlessly.
Another feature that could be improved is the export of configurations to .CSV. This would further simplify the management and compliance with rules, making audits and reporting much faster and more reliable for IT teams.

This solution has been used for approximately two year in the company.

The solution has excellent stability.

It is quite a scalable product.
How are customer service and support?
The support experience has not been very good. We have had some problems with cases and meetings coordination.

There was no type of tool that would supply these qualities in the company previously.

The installation is easy. It is plug-and-play. However, the configuration must be done carefully.

The implementation was handled with the help of an engineer who had prior knowledge of the product.

The ROI is there. Making an investment in security is always a very good idea.

Check Point offers a good price for its products. It is worth making the investment since this can prevent vulnerabilities.

It provides provides insights on work processes that takes place from our cloud servers. Data compliance has been fully achieved since we deployed this product across our organization. It has enhanced effective security across all the applications.

Security around our cloud environment have been fully equipped since we deployed this product. There is no poor recorded performance.

CloudGuard Posture Management monitors assets and workloads stored in our cloud storage space effectively. It offers advanced analytics and detects misconfigurations with suitable solution. It has deployed modern security models across the entire organization networking infrastructure.

Successfully protecting against threats in the cloud requires behind-the-back vision and around-the-clock adaptability. Most organizations are relying on traditional SIEM solutions and analytics tools to
understand their cloud activities.

It is a bit more complex to understand and use for inexperienced and moderate experience users and engineers.

Problems like Automate Intrusion Detection & Threat Hunting are solved by this and we Gain Visibility & Simplify in Incident Investigation.

It was very easy to deploy and use, support from checkpoint team was very helpfull.
GUI is very user-friendly and very easy to understand for new and inexperienced users.

Upgradation was little problematic due to public cloud area
But with the help of checkpoint support and guidance everything completed long before downtime was over.

Checkpoint Services hav been one of the tools which I have been using for a long time.It enhances security and gives advise in which we can use in our environment.

This was used to increase the performance and to protect the environment in our organization. We have used for daily implementation of the changes to secure the environment.
Evaluation of cloud guard
What do you like best about the product?
Ease to deployment. You get nearly the same functions on premise. Using the same management console decreases the management and operation costs. Vpn deployment is very easy and stable. Vpn tracking is very effective. Just for the Vpn, you can puchase this product. NGTP functionalities are at the same level compared to on premise deployments. Support is very good. Especially on the cloud there's mutual ownership, you need to adress the problem. Problem resolution and the actions are very rapid. We have disabled all the NSGs on the Cloud and forward the traffic to Cloudguard controllers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrade of the products is somehow problematic. I think it's related to the public cloud area. You need to deploy it from the very begining where it means downtime. Clustering option does not suit the public cloud, you need to maintain the nodes individually compared to other vendor solutions. In case of migration from on premse to cloud, you can not replace or move the licenses. between these environments. I don't like the ARM templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This product helps to solve the possible regulation and compliance issues when migrating the cloud. High visibility and granular rule base approach assists us possible security leaks and hghlights the items to focus and get immediate actions. Product is one of the enabler for cloud transformation. It serves just not the security teams, it's also guiding the system-appliacation teams with detailed logging mechanism. Already deployed on premşe firewalls and management-logging environment is one of the key elements for product acquisition in terms of lower cost and agile deployment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Aligining to zero trust modeli deploy additional firewall between hub and spoke. Otherwise you loose the control of traffic if the traffic is routed or NSGs are properly set. I recommend you start from one node deployment than decide to go with cluster mode. Discard the public cloud Vpc Vpn use the Checkpoint Vpn. Checkpoint Vpn is more solid and easy to operate. Get hands on expertise on ansible or terraform for automation and encourage the project members to use the automation tools.
