Comprehensive CloudGuard Security for Dynamic Environments

  • August 22, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is its ability to deliver consistent and powerful attack protection across many cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. The extensive integration with native cloud services allows for flexible deployment while maintaining high levels of security. Advanced threat intelligence, unified security management, and automatic posture correction provide robust protection for dynamic cloud workloads. Scalability and visibility across hybrid and multi-cloud setups are also significant benefits, making compliance simpler to manage and operational risk lower.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I detest about Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is how hard the initial setup and configuration can be, particularly in multi-cloud situations where rules must be fine-tuned for each platform. The user interface, although powerful, might be less intuitive than comparable cloud-native systems, resulting in a lengthier learning curve for novice admins. Licensing and cost control may also be difficult for firms that are fast expanding, since they need careful planning to minimize unforeseen charges. Furthermore, interaction with third-party monitoring and automation systems might be improved to streamline operations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is assisting us with the difficulty of safeguarding workloads and applications in hybrid and multi-cloud settings. It offers consistent visibility, enhanced threat protection, and unified security policies, reducing complexity while ensuring regulatory compliance. Data breaches are considerably reduced by defending against zero-day attacks, misconfigurations, and unauthorized access. The ability to incorporate security into cloud-native operations boosts agility, enabling teams to innovate without sacrificing security. Finally, it has helped us improve our overall security posture by simplifying cloud operations and lowering human overhead.

  • July 27, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Check Point Security Management is to unify firewall and threat prevention policies across multiple international sites, so I use SmartConsole to streamline rule updates and monitor security events in real-time.

What is most valuable?

The best features Check Point Security Management offers me are unified management console, automated policy management, and real-time monitoring and reporting.

Check Point Security Management has positively impacted my organization by providing centralized control, allowing us to manage all security policies and gateways from a single console, reducing complexity and saving time, and by enabling faster policy updates, which allowed quicker roll-out of rule changes across multiple sites, improving agility and reducing configuration errors.

What needs improvement?

I see areas of improvement for Check Point Security Management such as GUI stability and performance, and simplified firmware upgrades.

I and my colleagues occasionally report glitches or missing data views with the GUI stability and performance issues, and sometimes SmartConsole crashes.

The main things regarding needed improvements are GUI stability and performance, and there is no need to add more.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point Security Management for five to six years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point Security Management is stable, although sometimes it is not.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point Security Management is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support for Check Point Security Management is good.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not previously use a different solution before Check Point Security Management.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a strong ROI from using Check Point Security Management through unified policy management, reduced misconfigurations, and faster incident response.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Check Point Security Management.

What other advice do I have?

My advice for others looking into using Check Point Security Management is that if you manage complex or multi-site networks, it is a powerful tool for centralizing control and improving security consistency.

I don't have specific metrics or examples of time saved, fewer errors, or other measurable benefits.

I don't have information regarding pricing, setup cost, and licensing.

My company does not have a business relationship with this vendor other than being a customer.

I was offered a gift card for this review.

On a scale of one to ten, I rate Check Point Security Management an eight.

Comprehensive Review of Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP

  • July 23, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP is its intuitive interface, which makes it easy to use and simplifies complex cloud security tasks. The implementation process is smooth with clear guidance and excellent customer support throughout. It offers a rich set of features and integrates seamlessly with existing CI/CD tools. We use it frequently due to its reliability and broad functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP offers robust capabilities, there are areas where improvement is needed. The user interface, though functional, can feel cluttered and overwhelming for first-time users, affecting overall ease of use. Initial setup and configuration may require specialized knowledge, making ease of implementation a challenge for smaller teams. While customer support is generally responsive, resolution times can vary. The platform is used frequently, but navigating between features can sometimes be cumbersome. Despite offering a wide array of features, some advanced functionalities require manual fine-tuning. Integration with certain third-party tools is not always seamless and may require custom configurations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point CloudGuard CNAPP addresses critical challenges in securing complex multi-cloud environments by providing unified visibility and continuous monitoring of cloud resources. It solves problems related to misconfigurations, compliance violations, and threat detection by automating risk identification and remediation. This proactive approach reduces the risk of security breaches and simplifies compliance management. For me, it means enhanced confidence in our cloud security posture, faster response to vulnerabilities, and streamlined collaboration between security and development teams, ultimately improving overall operational efficiency and reducing potential downtime or data loss.

A reliable solution for DevSecOps and cloud code security

  • June 19, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
CloudGuard Code Security integrates seamlessly with our CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins and GitHub Actions). It provides real-time scanning of infrastructure as code (IaC) like Terraform and CloudFormation. I appreciate its detailed vulnerability reports, policy-as-code capabilities, and easy-to-use dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration were a bit complex and required documentation referencing. Also, it can sometimes generate false positives in custom scripts. Improved documentation for multi-cloud deployment scenarios would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check Point CloudGuard Code Security helps us identify security issues in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and application code early in the development lifecycle. By integrating it into our CI/CD pipeline, we’re able to shift security left and catch misconfigurations, hardcoded secrets, and compliance violations before they reach production.

This not only improves the overall security posture of our cloud-native applications but also saves time and effort by reducing manual code reviews and post-deployment fixes. It ensures faster and more secure deployments while maintaining compliance with standards like CIS Benchmarks and industry best practices.

What do you like best about the product?
It fits seamlessly into our CI/CD pipelines without slowing down builds, and we don’t have to worry about data leaving our environment since everything runs locally. The in-depth detection of misconfigurations and hardcoded credentials is really commendable, and the ability to customize policies gives us flexibility to align with our internal security standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
the initial setup and policy customization take some time, the documentation is very helpful but for advanced usecase it becomes cubersome to implement
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps in catching early issues in development phase, like detecting hard coded secrets, vulnerable depedencies.
