Decent HRM

The export function to bring data into excel

The view is outdated and not really that customized

Excellent for HR!
What do you like best about the product?
For me I would say the number one in human resources management since it has several functions included and that can be included thanks to its open source, this makes it adapt to what we need apart from the tools it already includes. It shows a clear and easy information about the employees, showing their characteristics in a unique way
What do you dislike about the product?
Being open source has many functions that you need to know that can be included, therefore you have to learn a little bit deeply about this software. The prices in relation to what is open source are very expensive, they should improve that aspect and change the options offered by small business packages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very convenient for the company where I do human resources management, in addition through the android application, it speeds up my work, thus resolving an easy administration of the company in the area of human resources.

Recommended for the practicality of this type of software, thus including many functions on human resources.

I dislike that it is not high-tech in fashion or appearance.

Easily Configurable HRM System
What do you like best about the product?
Orange HRM allowed us to automate our HR core functions. It is now easy to apply for leaves remotely and get them approved without having to fill paperwork or maintaining manual records of balances
It is also easy to configure working days and hours from the administration portal eg. assigned leave days, holidays, weekends and or half days

What do you dislike about the product?
The reports are not very comprehensive
We have been unable to integrate Ornage HRM to other applications such as a 3rd party support system that links the orangeHRM timesheets to the support tickets assigned

What do you like best about the product?
Covers all the bases. Has all the required modules like Employee database, leave data , recruitment , training etc. Being cloud based, it can scale up fast and has all the regular benefits of scalability.
Software has been built in a very uncomplicated manner and has a very simple approach with clear separation of each of the modules.
Leave configuration types are plenty and allows to accommodate many different type of leaves

What do you dislike about the product?
Bad UI and inability to make reports and dashboards in the system. Employee social media is not well built and needs to have more features. Onboarding system is not integrated with background check ,tracking of background checks etc.
Customisation like creation of some sample reports for workforce analytics is not well built. Addition of new features by adding a script based UI changes should be allowed on the system.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
OrangeHRM has been used for our internal product comparison in the past. We have used OrangeHRM as a comparative product for build/buy kind of scenario.
The software managed to fulfil most of the criteria , but was lacking in UI and general appeal. The overall product coverage is impressive and this is highly recommended for organisations that are about 1000 people strong

Very good software for covering the basics of HRMS and is of excellent use in case of SME kind of enterprise. Has a generous evaluation period and is cloud based that enables scalability
Good app to manage leaves - but needs more work
What do you like best about the product?
It helps me manage leaves with the employees in my firm. As a manager who would like to see the summary of all the leaves applied, Orange HRM does justice to this tasks by letting Managers know about the leave requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've felt that the application still needs a lot of work. The team should understand the target audience and their expectations better. As a user who manages employees, I'd like to see all of the performance feedbacks given to an employee on their profile page. I feel that OrangeHRM lacks the edge in user experience compared to other products in the market.

We used to use OrangeHRM to maintain employee directory and to manage the leaves applied by them.

If you are looking to have an application to just manage your employee directory and their leaves, OrangeHRM can perform these tasks beautifully. Not sure about how it will help with other tasks.

What do you like best about the product?
This software works well for our small organization. The basic features we need are present and it is pretty straightforward.
What do you dislike about the product?
Customer support is somewhat lacking. A team member had a problem one time and getting assistance from support seemed unnecessarily difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Recruitment, applicant tracking, time & attendance. As mentioned above, the benefits are straightforward, this software does what we need it to do.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are a fairly small organization with regular, basic needs then OrangeHRM should work well for you.

We would recommend OrangeHRM to new startups as it allows easy access to core functions needed when implementation gets off the ground for organisations.
A limited HRM software with good potential
What do you like best about the product?
The variety of modules offered by OrangeHRM. There are a lot of options on offer which allows for a full-service HRM system using Orange. Overall, it allows for nearly every aspect of HR at our organization to be covered by the software, although this does require the use of the professional version over the Open Source.
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe with the software is despite the options available, they are held back based on the version of the software you have. While I understand the thinking and strategy behind it, we should have access to the full suite of features no matter what version we use. Additionally, getting information on the pricing/costs of each version is a bit of a challenge as well. Finally, without access to some of the reporting functions, it limits the usefulness and value of the software.

Our main business problems, as with most HR software, is to find ways to minimize paper waste and implement a full-service HR solution to assist in optimizing our HR processes. At this point, though, we have not fully realized any benefits due to the limited functionality of the software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider each of the different versions and what will work best for you. You may only need certain modules, which means that the Open Source version might be sufficient. If you require more, though, you'll need to look into the other versions and hopefully obtain accurate costing. In the end, truly consider whether the limited functionality will actually add value.
