Great extension, but don't value customers or product consistency
What do you like best about the product?
- Ease of use. Very short learning curve.
- Beautiful and seamless UI.
- Works directly in GMAIL, avoiding the need to have to jump between different tabs or software.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Hiver is continuously changing their plans. Negatively. Moving features to more expensive tiers, arbitrarily increasing the pricing of their plans, and then adding handicap features to lower level plans in order to force users to accept a deteriorated performance or othererwise upgrade.
- In November 2023 they randomly added a feature that inserts Hiver branding/marketing into your emails. Their messaging about this is it "Reinforces the trust between you and your email recipients...". You can't turn off their hijacking of the email, the adding of this watermark or advertising without upgrading.
- Searching in your own inbox requires some additional search parameters since shared inboxes are now essentially integrated with your own. We would have more team members use it across different departments if the pricing model was different.

Awesome collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
I have to admit that I was resistant to using this tool at first but have found it to be quite useful. It offers an organized way to assign tasks. Members of our various teams can weigh in to be sure that our responses to client requests are thorough and accurate. Not only does it increase our response rate to our clients but it's a great way to keep notes in one location for our entire team's access.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to use conversation view in email, but I got used to that so not a problem now.

If you plan to write a Review allow for plenty of time. They ask a LOT of questions.
Integrates well with gsuite
What do you like best about the product?
I was surprised with the easy installation of the chrome extension. I was also pleasantly surprised with how well hiver natively integrates with g suite. The support has been very good as well.
hiver has fulfilled my need for a collaborative inbox email experience I also appreciate the ability to write notes and share them with team members about specific emails.

What do you dislike about the product?
the one thing I haven't quite figured out yet is how to search a group inbox for content I know there's an easy way to do it but it just has been clunky for me so far I just need to spend more time with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before, I was getting lost in a slew of emails. I also had no way to know if myself were a team member was working on the same problem concurrently. However provides the opportunity to assign emails so there's no repetition of work

Just try it. Great for teamwork. Notifications are great within the system.
Hiver has blown me away with its practical functionality. I am very impressed :-)

What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to modify bell notifications. It would be great if you could change it so that only message notifications from teammates show up under the bell. Considering you see the emails you've been assigned in your inbox, seeing it also under the bell can be a bit redundant.

Hiver has been a great tool for organization between my team!

The simplicity of the software makes using it very easy!

Sometimes it takes a while for the software to load the emails.

My team and I are able to redirect messages to the appropriate user with Hiver!

Great for assigning work
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of being able to assign work to myself or my colleagues. I also like being able to have conversations with colleagues.
What do you dislike about the product?
When a colleague is OOO it is somewhat difficult to manage their work. I am unaware of any OOO features with Hiver that transfer assigned work to other coworkers. Also, it can be tricky to manage the passing of work between colleagues. If you need to have a colleague complete a task pertaining to a thread you have to assign it to them and then manually tell them to assign it back to you in order to complete it? I feel like this could be easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting through emails and assignments quicker.

What do you like best about the product?
No more in-house forwarding emails. We now have complete visibility on staff email responses. It's almost impossible for a customer email to slip through the cracks.

I wish it was more cost effective to add employees that only occasionally need to be in the Hiver loop.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your customer service department depends on someone forwarding each incoming email to the appropriate employee to handle then Hiver is the perfect solution. You can now have complete oversight and accountability for everyone on your team. It's certainly a win for your customer service department and a definite win for your customers.
Attractive one page CRM alternative.
What do you like best about the product?
There are several products that supposedly offer a CRM/group mailbox/ticketing system within the gmail framework. Hiver is the only one that delivers without getting in the way. Hiver only adds the minimum extra elements to the gmail framework to deliver a seamless experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hiver is not cheap. This was the biggest obstacle to getting buy in across the business. Luckily we were using Zendesk which was overpriced and not really fit for purpose. So the pricing was comparable. But someone coming to this solution cold might find the pricing a deal breaker.

Hiver solves our number one problem of allocating and monitoring workload within teams and across the business.
Great tool for managing agile teams
What do you like best about the product?
The visibility of tasks and the assignment of mails are key to success in many organisations. It is a great tool to see where your team is standing and what kind of workload each individual has to deal with.
The second great advantage is the easy integration in your existing GMail setup. This allows easy switching between shared inboxes and your own. This is simply great in order to keep things separate & keep an overview.

What do you dislike about the product?
Generally there are not many features I dislike. Personally I do not use the bell icon extensively because the left bar keeps all information I usually need. But this is part of personal preference.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem we had was accountability and responsibility for the shared mailbox. We realised that Hiver helped us to improve on both matters. Generally, becuase you create a transparency we didn't have before, and second you have clear responsibilities once mails are assigned.
