Air is better than G-Drive for image/video organization
What do you like best about the product?
The tagging and subfolder/sub-board systems make for a simple yet effective user experience. I also like the CDN feature to help us link to images for various purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not too much I dislike. It really does serve its purpose. I do wish that there was a way to bulk export images at a smaller-than-original resolution though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tagging, secure sub-folder sharing, CDN links, bulk exports and downloads - mainly all of those main features solve our original issue of having ALOT of assets to maintain and share across our organization.
Everyone needs Air!!!!
What do you like best about the product?
I have used and implemented Air.inc at multiple companies and organizations to help them have an accessible way to access their creative content efficiently. It has been soo good to have a searchable and accessible central hub for all our content. I could rave about it for days about all the features that we use. The best part is turning downloads for folder links on and off. It allows me to send a review link without letting someone use assets that aren't yet approved. It also allows me to deactivate old assets and not let the team use outdated material. I could go on and on, but it is the best platform I could have asked for, and the price point is fantastic.
What do you dislike about the product?
The company is still newer and growing, and I have only had two incidents over the last two years where the platform was down. Each time it was back up shortly, and the Support team was always responsive and communicative. They have done very very well. I will be sticking with them in the future. The only other issue is that I had a few problems with the accessibility of Folder/board links opening on a client's phone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I oversee photography for a DTC brand. Air keeps my content organized but also accessible. I also use it to deliver links for assets to multiple departments. This is important because each department (marketing, retail, content creation, international) can have specialized requests and needs technical assets. When something is requested, finding the right assets and delivering them quickly is easy.
I also love having all of my assets in a searchable base. When creating marketing briefs, it is easy to find and use past examples to build continuity across my photography.
I also implemented Air at a creative arts college which helped us coordinate media into the respective programs of study. (i.e. Dance, Theater, Music, Filmmaking etc.) It also let us cross-tag different departments if they worked on the same event. This way, the marketing staff could quickly find assets from the creative team to create specified and targeted ads for each program of study. This is something google drive could never do for us.

Easy to use, lots of storage, huge time-saver
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely LOVE being able to share the same asset on multiple folders. This makes sharing content super easy, saving me a ton of storage space. Plus, collecting content directly to an Air folder has saved me a lot of time because I can include a form to collect all the metadata I need. Now all my marketing assets are centralized into one single source of truth, and I don't go insane looking for that video from 3 years ago.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I love everything about it. Wouldn't change a thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me centralize all my marketing content into one single source of truth. It also makes sharing content with external vendors very easy, since we don't have to manage logins or access privileges. Just copy/paste a link, and we're good to go.
Helpful Tool for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
Air is an excellent way to view files visually, with additional elements to share, review and track approvals on creative projects. It helps our remote teams share files and work on projects collaboratively.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some wayfinding is awkward, and the search is less than optimal. Requires diligent tagging of all files for the search to work reliably, and then you may find only one asset to a larger project without finding the file's location and related files. When a link is provided for a shared project, there's no way to navigate to its parent board (folder). It would also be helpful to be able to see InDesign file previews and be able to print natively from the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing a large library of digital assets for a distributed creative team is made possible with Air at an affordable price. We can also share assets in a visually appealing way with the public, vendors, external agencies and printers.
Amazing tool for creatives to manage their assets!
What do you like best about the product?
Air is visual, so you can find and place things by looking directly at the assets, not file names or small icons. Creating boards and being able to duplicate them is a great way to manage thousands of files that need to go in different places.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest problem is that files take some time to process on their system. I upload dozens of videos to my Air; every time I do, I have to wait for it to upload and then process. On other platforms like Dropbox, you only wait for the upload process and can watch it immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We create a ton of content every month, and being able to manage, organize and share assets within and outside of the company was an absolute nightmare. Air made it easy for use to organize all of our content and made it super easy to find. We spend more time creating and less time scrubbing through hundreds of files trying to find what we need.
Helps keep our digital assets organized
What do you like best about the product?
Straightforward and intuitive UI that helps keep our digital asset database organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to be able to use a desktop app or desktop integration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing final versions of digital assets.
The solution to all of your Dropbox frustrations
What do you like best about the product?
It couldn't be more user-friendly and is the best solution to organizing and managing assets.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing would be that when some videos upload to Air, they appear with a different washed out coloring than the video actually is which can be misleading
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset management
Never going to another platform again
What do you like best about the product?
It is SO nice to finally have an option where users can see versions of an asset and physically comment on them! Saves so much time and space. The UX design is amazing! All my love to Kanban view.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would also be pretty neat to have a side-by-side comparison of assets. Not sure necessary, but when everything else is so perfect, why not have a little more?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Duplicates of multiple assets, helping us so much with organization!
Exceeded ALL expectations
What do you like best about the product?
Air has been a God send! We are a small business, but most of us work remotely. There is a lot of back and forth between our graphic artists, management, licensing and sales team and this finally helped us keep a paper trail of sorts all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't really think of anything at the moment. It has been super easy to use and a wonderful tool to help all of us stay organized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps our entire team communicate and keeps us organized. It also allows people to work on "their" schedule and leave notes for everyone to follow up on. So much easier than dropbox or searching through endless files on computer or in emails.
Air is Amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
We used to use Brandfolder - Air is better looking, easier to search and find things, easier to train employees on, and has a much more intuitive design. I also love the ability to create custom passwords for asset sharing!
What do you dislike about the product?
The canva integration is something I was really looking forward to but it has a lot of glitches - it would be great if it didn't require the asset to be uploaded to canva so that the assets stay organized in both canva and Air. Also, it's not clear to me if I can create custom asset pages to share with partners and that is a feature that is necessary for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Asset organization, tagging, and housing. We have A TON of assets so it's really important that they are easy to find and can be easily sent to different employees for different purposes. Content collection is also huge and Air makes that a breeze.
