Great way to automate document creation
What do you like best about the product?
Very good tool to enable a truly automated process, for instance for Quote and contract creation. The breadth of the tool is amazing
What do you dislike about the product?
The tool can do a lot, but administrating it takes some time to get used to, not completely obvious what to do at first..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have realized very large benefits in creating the contract documents, saving a lot of time and increasing quality
Conga is bad for Salesforce
What do you like best about the product?
I don't like anything. It is hard to use, hard to integrate, only thing it does what it says it does, but there is better products and cheaper and we will asap switch on them.
What do you dislike about the product?
Whole platform, that it is not fully integrated, it is slow, it doesn't support DX, support is bad, when you create sandbox you need to ask for licence.....

Very simple to use, and easy to send customised templates with. We can now adapt anything we need to in-house

Sometimes hard to draw elements from different sections of Salesforce. Not as good for complicated documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Booking confirmation emails, visa support letters
Conga Document Generation is a Huge Time Saver
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to run on an everyday basis. With one click the document pulls the information altogether from SalesForce and puts it in the required format.
What do you dislike about the product?
It was a little tricky figuring out all of the codes/symbols/etc. when building in SalesForce. Building the template was also a little time consuming, but definitely worth it in the end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our sales team uses this to pull information from Salesforce and it puts it into the template format. This alleviates questions as to what information we need in the document and how we want it displayed. They simply plug in the information and out comes a document set up the way we wanted it to be.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the fact if I have a question, they are willing to help with a smile on their face!
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it isn't easy trying to find an answer on your own through their support pages because there's so much information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have saved a lot of time by having documents automatically generate vs. users having to manually generate documents.
Gets the job done but could be better
What do you like best about the product?
Conga is relatively simple to use and it does the main task that it was created for - create documents. It is relatively fast (less than 20 seconds) and generally does not produce errors in merging the documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, it has a relatively hard time of producing documents with any kind of complexity. It can not handle a business with a complex product offering without huge manual template manipulation from the administrator (which then requires end user manipulation and QA).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga has helped expedite the contract creation process by providing some of kind of automation. It helps solve the business problem of making sure to minimize the time between contract request from the client to producing a document that the client can receive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This tool can be helpful for some, but make sure that they can handle the complexity of the business documents you require. Other document management tools may be more beneficial.
I have been working on Conga in many implementation and I feel it is one of the best Doc gen tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of learning and configuring. The Conga support site is also very helpful and Support team is also very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Conga Trigger as it does not have any component to reload a page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We hit a roadblock when we got View state error and document generation tool helped a lot and maintenance of templates is also very easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The pricing aspect for Conga Licenses and also ensure that Communities aspect is also considered.

Easy access to updated documents. Also organized templates. Automated prefilled templates were a major help in implementing communication to consumers quickly and efficiently.

Some documents took way longer to load vs other documents.

It has enabled us to streamline our processes and have traceability of documents sent.

This can be configured to how you want it, and is very flexible. Really think about how you want it to work, before making the decision.
A Proposal Solution for a Virtual Company
What do you like best about the product?
The custom created templates have given us the ability to quickly create several types of documents to send to prospective clients/affiliates. Also the integration with our form submission software allows us to easily have people send us important information. The fact that your document will auto-save as you make changes is a big relief, knowing you won't lose any work.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that to edit any published proposals they must be duplicated and the title must be changed to keep the link from looking odd. As we have custom created and detailed proposals, it would be nice to be able to go in and tweak an original document. We often have several revisions and the titles become creative (Revised, updated, final, etc.)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As an entirely virtual company we needed a way to send our proposals to our prospects to prove that everything can be done effectively in a virtual space. Also, the notifications of opening documents and the reporting information gives our representatives insights to prospects' thoughts such as what option they are leaning towards, and these insights aid in their post-proposal discussions.
