Fast Prototyping with Limitations

  • October 05, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how easy it is to set up Lovable, allowing me to use it immediately and create prototypes within minutes. The speed of creating simple, high-definition-looking prototypes is impressive and beneficial for quick prototyping sessions. I find the capability to produce clickable prototypes useful for visualizing user interactions effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find Lovable's freemium version quite frustrating. The free trial is difficult to test effectively because it comes with limited credits that are consumed even when sessions don't work properly, leading to a quick depletion of credits. This limitation prevents me from fully exploring Lovable's capabilities to make an informed purchase decision. Additionally, Lovable lacks the depth and sophistication needed for more advanced prototyping compared to Figma, which makes it less practical for complex projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lovable for quick prototyping, allowing rapid creation of simple, high-definition prototypes and enabling visualization of user interactions effortlessly.

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Lovable for its excellent tech stack controls, which allow me to choose flexible frameworks like NextJS and React, making modern web builds more adaptable. I find the AI code editor remarkably efficient, assisting with code improvements seamlessly. The file management system stands out and significantly enhances my workflow. Lovable's rapid site-building capability is impressive, enabling me to develop complete websites in just a few hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am concerned about the pricing of Lovable. I would like to see a reduction in its price as it currently seems to be a determining factor affecting my decision to continue using it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Lovable enhances source code, speeds up website building with great GUIs, and offers flexible tech stack controls, making web development much faster and efficient.

User friendly for no coders and no tech entrepreneurs

What do you like best about the product?
This platform is user-friendly, making it accessible for those without coding experience as well as entrepreneurs who don't have a technical background.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost can be quite high when you're still in the ideation stage or haven't started generating revenue yet, but it's worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to build a personal website, but most other options required technical support or forced me to use a template. With lovable, I simply chat about what I want, and it brings my ideas to life.

Amazing experience for someone who have zero knowledge on developing

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity is fantastic. I most like the sugestions about improvement the project could have, things that I did not realize, new ideas. I felt I was talking with a real dev.
What do you dislike about the product?
The credit usage is not clear (to me). When I ask something its not clear how much that edit will cost. I understand that every edit is unique, and may need to be charged differently but that’s the reason I did not go pro yet. I am afraid that my credits will vanish in two commands. If I may suggest something: once the command is given, the AI could inform how much that edit will cost. As an example: “this edit will cost you X credits. Proceed?” In my opinion this transparency will increase user’s trust in Loveable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not a dev, so Loveable helped me to actually write the code

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the detailed feedback provided for each programming prompt. I've actually picked up some new techniques by reading about how my programs are constructed. The platform is also very user-friendly—I was able to get started within just a few minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
i did not like that token usage is transparent and there are no guidelines on how much a request costs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was impressed by how quickly I was able to build my program and how easy it was to extend its features. Having a fully functioning mobile app available on both iOS and Android just four hours after starting was an amazing experience.

Smart, conversational experience

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that I can work with it using my knowledge, it's definitely an engaging experience (as a Software Engineer) to read the code and work with it's flaws. Communication with it is like talking to a person directly, and it understands what I have explained well enough. The way it breaks my requests down is well put, though sometimes I feel like I need to be extra detailed to explain my idea, and that is definitely never a bother.
What do you dislike about the product?
The credits consumption is frustrating, sometimes for the smallest tasks, specially when it's not done well, I heavily suggest that we get a function that either returns credits in case a user didn't get what they asked for, or possibly a more fairer method of consuming credits based on requests. It's only my opinion, and I might be wrong on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm bad at front-end, and with some well put details, lovable is taking all of that away from me, and saving me a ton of hours on fixing minor adjustments.

Coder with the right attitude

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Lovable is that you don’t need to be a full-fledged coder. An idea is enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like to be able to buy credits without a subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool allows me to see how everything fits together, helping me understand the complete picture.

I was skeptical....

What do you like best about the product?
I have a beginning exposure to programming and never felt my skills were enough to develop an app the way I've wanted. This meant that my ideas were left for years rotting until I could scrape together the time or money to get them built. It just left too much to chance. Now, I'm able to bring my ideas to life and they work better than I could've thought! The ease of use is outstanding! I'm able to integrate features, build backend, and adjust my UI with speed, efficiency, and accuracy. Plus, having access to the code really helps me learn and fill in the gaps of my knowledge that were originally a barrier to this in the first place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything I dislike about Lovable. I have personal concerns about AI removing the skill barriers that used to be involved with program development. However, that should tell you more about how effective their system is. I didn't think AI app development would work this well and now that I've been proven wrong, it's got me thinking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's bridging the gap between my resources/skillsets and the ideas that I've always wanted to bring to life. It's removed a lot of those barriers to getting things done.

Effortless App Development, But Needs Better Security

  • September 26, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easily Lovable allows me to create different kinds of apps, including both front end and back end development. Its intuitive playground makes setting up applications straightforward, and it enhances my prompts effectively. The ability to directly connect and work with databases like Superbase for DB storage is a major plus. Additionally, I appreciate their constant support and the vibrant community on platforms like Twitter, which is growing rapidly. The regular updates and new feature releases keep me engaged with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Lovable generates both the backend and frontend code in a single repository; I prefer them to be in separate repositories. Additionally, the lack of automatic test cases or test suite features is a significant drawback, as it can't automatically test for potential breaks when enhancing features. This absence of testing capabilities necessitates additional manual processes to ensure application stability. Furthermore, the security level is concerning; there is a risk of exposing more data with end APIs or potential SQL injections, which could be mitigated if Lovable provided default test cases for such vulnerabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Lovable to design great front ends by simply structuring APIs, streamlining app development with backend capabilities, and enhancing prompts for better guidance.
