Effortless storytelling magic with dynamic AI tools

  • July 18, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lovable makes it incredibly easy to create interactive, AI-powered stories that feel alive. The UI is intuitive, and the integration with ElevenLabs lets me generate natural-sounding narration that adapts to each part of the story. It’s the first tool that made me feel like I could build a polished, engaging storytelling product without a massive team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The image generation occasionally feels inconsistent in style, especially when building longer story arcs. I’d also love to see more control over visual continuity and transitions across scenes. These are minor issues in an otherwise powerful platform that’s still growing fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lovable helps me rapidly prototype and deliver interactive storytelling experiences without needing a large team or custom-built tools. It solves the problem of combining text, voice, visuals, and interactivity into one seamless workflow. It’s been crucial in helping me launch and iterate on my project, Tale‑forge, while staying creative and productive.

Seems goal is to exhaust the credits by breaking features and being super dumb

What do you like best about the product?
It sucks you in because you THINK it can REALLY do the basic task then you invest and then you invest and it keeps trying and failing and you keep hoping it will get better and you keep getting disappointed and increasing the dollar spend until at last you realize it is a waste of time and money and you move on. Just heard about Base44 and how it is so much better than lovable.. Guess I will be forced to restart and hope for better outcome...
What do you dislike about the product?
Each new feature BREAKS existing features and it seems to have ZERO memory or recollection of prior code written. It is frustrating to say the least. I started with $25 for a simple task and ended up paying $200 because I kept thinking WE ARE ALMOST DONE.. then BOOM, it will BREAK all the existing features just to add something as mundane as email notification with one trigger...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was supposed to be a FAST WAY of standing up a web app... But one week later, I am throwing in the towel and will go in search of an alternative after downgrading my subscription from $200 to $25

A great start to bring your ideas to life

What do you like best about the product?
Its really easy to put together simple projects and learn code structure along the way and creating database. A great tool for a beginner to learn. Its really easy to get started and to prompt the AI into building simple ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
The 5 credit minimum really is a bucket of cold water when you become immersed in learning new things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lovable is solving several problems. First is the time it takes to create functional applications and the cost is drastically reduced.

Shockingly good code development

What do you like best about the product?
It almost always generates a testable version of what you asked for. It fills in the gaps that you didn’t specify, and makes pretty good design decisions. With supabase as a backend, you can build out a fairly robust web app with oauth logins and an API layer. Pushes to GitHub.
What do you dislike about the product?
DevOps. Versioning and environments are still rudimentary. Instead of tagging versions, you can go back to a specific chat bubble. Natively You only get dev and prod environments, so unless dev is kept prod ready at all times you can’t deploy. If you roll your own environments then you are writing GitHub actions and trying to get schema and edge function changes detected manually.

Some integrations don’t work great, and you need a bit more guidance than they give to get social logins to work with supabase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Launching a product business with no engineers.

I love lovable and can't stop building things!

What do you like best about the product?
I have like 5 projects going at once. how far you can get when you start is incredible and then that momentum carries me to keep going improving and testing.., and eventually launch!
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes it breaks something when you fix something else but it's easy to then fix that so...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've been pulling the projects down locally and working in cursor, but the start that I get a lovable is incredible. And then deploying and handling all the things like super base authentication and others. It's just amazing.

Not a dream. A time-wasting nightmare.

What do you like best about the product?
The illusion that this program could actually create something of value. Again, a dream. Pure illusion.
What do you dislike about the product?
A time-sucking, energy-draining loop of burnt credits, fixing the same issues over and over and over, despite trying creative prompting to have the AI look at this "in a different way".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was sure that this was a great way to build a simple app... an MVP I could deploy with a solid knowledge base and a clear plan. I was so wrong.

I now have a "layout" of an app that burns messages to reformat, modify, amend. It burnt about 150 messages just trying to create the layout for the app... at this point, it has been burnt time and money, and I have no MVP.

You think it would be easy, but the AI's "confidence" is a sham. If I read that damn AI telling me it knows exactly how to "fix" an issue, only to burn 60 credits to solve the secondary issues it creates in a repetitive loop... it's maddening.

This experience has not helped me at all. I have no app.

My colleage was absolutely shocked

What do you like best about the product?
The expression of my colleague when I asked him to use Loveable. What would you like it o build ? He thought for a while and then "I want to build a CRM web application". I said OK please write that in the chat window. He wrote the text and pressed enter - laughed a bit - his eyes was wide open when suddenly a window appeared with a beautiful CRM dashboard. He went quite, being thoughtful, gradually he started to realise. I asked him would you like something more or change anything. He wrote "e-commerce products for end consumers" - he said thank you, thank you for showing me this. His entire body language changed to become positive energetic and innovative for his and others idéas.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is being addictive, It hopefully creates a better quality application than if I would have coded it myself. But I kind of like that it is better than me as well. In version 1.0 I ran out of credits even when I paid starter level. In version 2.0 I noticed so many good changes. I could use much more and the result was even better and way smarter in sync with me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a very customer first focused approach of instant change management. It puts the user in a direct feedback loop controling the outcomes needed

FANTASTIC

What do you like best about the product?
The easyness and speed, i can build, and change it 5 minutes later, without having an angry programmer.
I can take a projekt 90% of the way in the same time i normally took me to describe it to the developers. And the developers are also happy now, because now they know exactly what i mean and want.
What do you dislike about the product?
That i didn't have it 5 years ago. Then my business would have been in a much better place.
And maybe i don't fully understand the system of payment, but it's a minor detail, because the outcome are so great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's fun to go to work again.

Lovable.dev: A Non-Coder’s Dream for Building Apps!

  • April 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Lovable.dev empowers non-coders like me to build real, functional apps without writing a single line of code. The user friendly interface is super intuitive, and the built-in integrations with AI, Supabase, and custom domain options make it easy to create something powerful—like my chatbot SaaS idea—in just days. It’s the perfect mix of simplicity and flexibility, turning my ideas into reality effortlessly! I almost use it daily with new ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
My main dislike with Lovable.dev is that prompts can change unexpectedly, which can be confusing. Also, reverting changes after connecting or tweaking Supabase is sometimes tricky and not as smooth as I’d like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lovable.dev solves the problem of complex app development by offering a low-code platform that doesn’t require coding skills. It simplifies integrating tools like OpenAI, Supabase and other payment gateways, letting me build SaaS quickly. This saves me time, reduces frustration, and lets me focus on my ideas—turning my vision into a working app without needing to learn programming!

What do you like best about the product?
100x my prototyping speed as a software product manager
What do you dislike about the product?
Still fairly early in its development, so does not support a ton of integrations yet. But fairly confident that it'll get there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Prototyping
