Great App, Great People
What do you like best about the product?
I've tested most AI software engineer platforms, and GPT Engineer is the best balance of price and quality. Besides the current quality of the app, they're constantly working to improve it, and actively incorporating feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
The current limitations of LLMs mean that as the size of your project increases, the LLM starts to lose track of things. This isn't unique to GPT Engineer - all the other AI software engineers have the same issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GPT Engineer is helping me create apps that solve some business requirements, in my spare time.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very useful to convert hand written wireframe design photo into html css webpage, i mean the given handwritten wireframe image was not too clear but still i got good output, no element missed. also it is showing preview for different device like mobile view, desktop view.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is using default react.js technology which i can't change, Every i have to mention that i want response in plain html css only, so for me this is a drawback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When i need a simple design to create a prototype application it is very useful to me to create simple html design using prompt or any hand written wireframe image.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using GPT Engineer for a few weeks now. Its results are beyond impressive. I've rebuilt projects that took many man years in a matter of days and weeks. The more you use it the more you become in tune with strengths and can push the envelope.
Particularly useful features that will help you maximise your results include:
Ability to quickly make changes, launch previews, restore previous builds.
GitHub integration - allows you to familiarise yourself with the code and make manual changes.
npm integration - npm has packages for almost everything. Research these well, choose the right one and you'll gain incredible results in a matter of minutes.
The other great thing is that it works whatever level you are, even inexperienced and non-technical users can turn their vision into meaningful results, while experienced devs can quickly power up to become architects.

Very little, there are occasionaly small niggles, but the support on discord is second to none.

One downside is that GPT Engineer may occasionally generate overly complex solutions for simpler problems, which might overwhelm users with less experience. Additionally, it can sometimes miss contextual nuances, requiring manual adjustments to fine-tune its outputs for highly specialized tasks.
