Great all round CRM
What do you like best about the product?
Affordable yet powerful and highly customizable CRM.
Highly and easily customizable even to those without any programming experience.
The new process author functionality is very powerful.
The mobile app is heading in a good direction.
Overall user interface is intuitive.

What do you dislike about the product?
Needs better collaborative and chat functionality. Digital marketing modules are a little old and not very robust.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a distributed independent factory rep group. Managing long complex sales cycles.

Great affordable yet affordable and highly customizable CRM.
Customization to meet your business needs
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to customize the software has been key for our business. The software provides numerous ways to customize it so that you can really fine tune it to meet your business needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of the per user licensing has prevented us from giving everyone access to the system. We would like for the information to be available to everyone but it is too costly for us to pay for licenses for those users who would only need access once or twice a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have customized SugarCRM to act as our order management and invoicing solution. This has simplified processes for our users because they can now find all information on a customer, including their orders, in the one system.

I didn't like much about Sugar. It was difficult to navigate, slow, and not user friendly.

This software is not comparable to Salesforce. The user functionality and ease of navigation is unprecedented.
Organized content and ease of use for a one stop shop of info.

Organization of information. Keeping all users up-to-date with accounts and who to contact.

User-ability- it could be more friendly for the end-user

How to remain connected across many different individuals and go to market with the same valuable information
Easy to use and navigate. Love how easy it is to build out a report.

Easy to lay out my tasks and events for my sales week.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the interface and being able to choose my own dashboard. I think my company may use this software in a unique way in that often I am using one of the modules to "talk" to my co-workers and present them with assignments. Because of this, i like being able to update user profiles easily and adjust their permissions. Reporting is also fairly straight forward and easy to modify.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am often the one inputting data, but the original source of that data is one of my colleagues. I would like a better way to record this. We are also currently working on a glitch that does not allow me to send emails straight out of Sugar to my contacts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving a lot of our reporting issues, it is nice to have one place to record all meetings, questions, events etc. in which the staff participate.
Its a good product.

Ajax capabilities allow to build great widgets and tools.

Its complexity on the configuration part, it is not very well explained how to configure many settings.

Visibility into Sales & Marketing Performance
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Sugar is our data source that automatically enables real-time business intelligence tools and reporting. The BI features are excellent. We have gained valuable insight into our sales and marketing performance and processes. Also, Sugar is customizable to your needs, which is extremely helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrades can be a little challenging. Would like to see this improve.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sugar helped move our marketing and sales team forward. We can now be proactive in our planning and processes thanks to the insight Sugar delivers. It also helped us better manage our Client Advocate program and support our clients.

Enterprise support gets back to me right away when if strange issues happen.

Needs some ways to automatically purge or self clean old data.

You do not need custome packages. They get in the way if you upgrade or migrate to new servers and versions.
Not quite as sweet as it should be.
What do you like best about the product?
Brings structure and organization to managing accounts, contacts, and leads. Gives sales and marketing visibility of lead and customer activity and the ability to record customer interactions and schedule follow up. We like that it integrates with Inbox25 and Act-On marketing automation platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sales team complains about speed of loading and the search doesn't always produce the desired results. They also complain that there is a lot of scrolling and clicking to get to more leads, more contacts, etc. The quote module is very basic and required that we go outside of Sugar to configure products and create quotes. We tried Endeavor CPQ for product configurations and quoting, but it was incredibly complex and extremely slow, so that integration failed for us. From an admin standpoint, there's no easy way to do mass deletes and mass updates. The customer support is slow and cumbersome via email.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Like most businesses, we're looking to grow revenue by growing our lead and prospect databases and nurturing them to become customers. Sugar has helped us be more organized and with our marketing automation has been used to convert leads into customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The integrations are difficult to execute and I don't feel that Sugar really supports the platforms that integrate into their product. If Sugar updates, your integrations make get broken or need a reboot.
