Miro has drastically increased team efficiency and engagement

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has enabled me to have virtual meetings with actively participating team members. With the recent integration in MS Teams, it makes is very easy to include attendants in the Miro Board even if they don't have an account. This has made it drastically easier to implement Miro in your Team meetings, even just as a whiteboard.
With Miro everyone is assigning tasks and providing input themselves, which empowers the team members and helps with ownershiop of the agreed tasks.
With the numerous templates, there is always something fit for your purpose. Within 5 minutes you're ready to conduct a retrospective for example.
The recent addition of AI tools has been a complete game changer. Where previously it would take longer to categorize retrospective input than to collect it, the categorization is now completed within seconds (and it's very accurate too).
The option to embed other documents such as Word or Powerpoint files, makes Miro very useful as a single source of truth.
Because of this, we use Miro very frequently. The team can check at a glance the project status and any open actions they might have.
Recently, we've had a Miro representative present the useful functionalities of Miro in Project Management. I think this is a great initiative since Miro has so many use cases it's hard to be aware of all if it's not shown by an expert.
What do you dislike about the product?
Within our organization, we value standardized documentation within projects a lot. I'm missing handy exports of certain things in Miro.
e.g. when I create a project plan in MS Project or Excel, I can upload that file in our database for future reference. This file can also be edited in the future. With Miro I'm missing such functionality where I can save a project plan, process map, mind map, etc. as a "Miro" file to be edited later. It would be amazing to save it as a file that's viewable in multiple programs (like a .JPG), but to still be able to edit it in Miro.
There is still quite a learning curve for new users to start working with Miro. This is due to the enourmous possibilities that Miro offers, but I think that the pictograms are sometimes unclear. That said, Miro has improved a lot since I started using it 4 years ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team engagement
Single source of truth
Whiteboard during virtual meetings
Quick way to collect information during kick-offs, retrospectives, etc.

Good software for quick-and-easy visual collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
In our company, we use Miro on almost a daily basis for everything that's "visual" collaboration, e.g. creating mock-ups for applications, pipelines, etc. It is definitely very quick and easy to start with Miro. Just add a new board, and start collaborating. There's a bunch of drawing options to choose from, whether from scratch or using templates. You can easily create a data pipeline graph, a data architecture review, a roadmap, etc. Sharing is easy, either by inviting specific people or sharing a link. It's also very easy to export a graph from Miro in a picture or even SVG. There are many integrations available with different 3rd parties, though to be honest I never really used them so I can't judge.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro can be sometimes long to load, and I find it annoying that everytime you want to just use it for quickly drawing something, you have to create a new board, give it a name, etc.
I feel there should be another way to just do draft things very easily, but that's my only opinion. Sometimes it feels Miro is too powerful for very simple things, and a bit overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As I said in my review, we're mostly using Miro for quick-and-visual collaboration, whether it comes to brainstorming around new ideas, doing some mock-ups for what our applications can look like, or even doing fun retros, etc.

My experience with Miro is successful, I love all the flexibility and fluidity of the tool.

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro for creating diagrams, preparing offsite agendas, presenting content, organising sticky notes into action items from a picture and creating org charts. I love the flexibility, the expenssion and the eas of share with others. My favorite feature is the photos to sticky, it have been useful for me a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases on Mac the app freeze and it's hard to move around witout changing by accident the tiles and the content. It would be awesome if there's an easy way to block everything when moving accross the board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Presenting complex diagrams and collaborating with others to update them is a huge benefit for me in my work and day to day tasks.

Great for the creative, still difficult for clients

What do you like best about the product?
It's an amazing tool to structure your project work, where you - with practice - can add a lot of fun and well thought out exercises to reach your goals. I love the miroverse where there's a lot of knowledge to learn from. It's a nice way of collaborating - definitely the best compared to other similar tools like Mural.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's sometimes annoying getting others started in Miro, as I'm always an external consultant.

Though I find it very intuitive, you still notice a big gap when I work with older clients (50+) which costs a lot of time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working together when (physically) apart - also across timezones.
Not having to digitize physical workshops anymore (large drag)
Having 1 visual overview space of all research and work done for a project.

Very useful for organisation

What do you like best about the product?
It's perfect for laying out all the tasks I need to do and prioritising them
What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is sometimes a little clunky and doesn't allow me to edit text in tables or post it notes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping our team work together more fluidly by allowing us all to share which tasks we are all working on. It also helps us lay out all our ideas and plans for the future which we can then discuss and decide how to move forward

What do you like best about the product?
As an Agile coach, Miro is a great tool to facilitate remote workshops with a high level of interaction. Really visual, easy to use, with a high number of increasing new features. I love having an infinite board to prepare the workshop dynamics, with lots of visual elements. Make my work much easier. Wonderful tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
With big and heavy Miro boargs, sometimes Miro gets blocked and delays quite a bit to sync again so that you're able to keep on working.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Unlimited space to compose my workshops. Lots of supporting features.

Everyone's used to it. Has a bunch of features that are useful. Seems they're still evolving/growing/adding more, but yet to explore them!
What do you dislike about the product?

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reproducing collaborative brainstorm serssions

Miro has transformed the way I manage tasks with my team

  • October 13, 2024
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Miro to assign and organize tasks within my team, and it has been an incredibly efficient tool. Its intuitive interface makes it easy to create visual boards where we can break down projects, assign responsibilities, and track progress in real-time. The ability to collaborate simultaneously with other team members has helped us stay aligned and productive, whether we're working remotely or in the office.

The templates and customizable workflows are also great advantages, allowing us to tailor the platform to our specific needs. In short, Miro has been a game-changer for improving communication and efficiency within my team. I highly recommend it to any team looking to enhance their organization and collaboration!
What do you dislike about the product?
one thing I’ve noticed is that sometimes the app can be a bit slow or laggy when working with large boards or many collaborators at once.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time Collaboration: With remote and hybrid work being common, Miro allows my team to collaborate in real-time, regardless of location. This has greatly improved the flow of communication, brainstorming, and decision-making processes, making the team more efficient and aligned.

Enhanced Visualization: The visual boards help break down complex projects into manageable pieces, making it easier to track progress and identify potential bottlenecks. It’s much more intuitive than traditional task management tools, which often rely on lists and spreadsheets.

with miro I can easily map ideas and organize and speed up planning

What do you like best about the product?
The main strength of the look in my opinion is the number of tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it a little complicated to draw a flowchart, at this point I prefer the lucidchart tool but it would be excellent if I could improve this part, to centralize the use of just one tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With miro I can centralize several plans and mental maps in a single tool.
