Great features and easy to use

What do you like best about the product?
Miro was the first of that type and set new standard for collaborative whiteboard software, combining a user-friendly interface with powerful features. The digital canvas allows brainstorming and planning, supported by real-time collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro is a great tool but sometimes there are some weird bugs like a glitch, it stops working for a few seconds and then it comes back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote ideation and brainstorm are much easier with Miro

One of the best collaboration tools, but with a few minor usability issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Awesome collaboration tool, and is straightforward to use. It's key to enabling remote work. Everything is realtime, and it's very rare we come across bugs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some usability issues with Miro that make it hard to complete my tasks quickly. Eg. On the team home screen, it's difficult to find the board that I'm looking for, because the Miro tiles all look the same. Then, when I try to create a board cover, the crop controls are awkward. When I want to update the cover, I have to again crop and set, instead of it having update automatically, like Figma.

Likewise, on the Miro board itself, the controls across the corners of the pages look the same. It's hard to find the settings/features that I'm looking for. Eg. there are multiple menus in andit usually takes a few tries to find 'Show board history' for example.

Also, I'd love to use 'Show collaborators cursors' but it absolutely fries my computer.

Other small things: Emojis and tags on stickies are super small, hard to see. Tables are also annoying to use. They're quite fiddly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not being in the same room together. It solves that problem and the less and less I feel like there is a gap between work and collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
The visual features, its templates, it is easy to navigate. It allows to work collaboratively with other peers and colleagues. The information can be showed in an easy, structured and visual way.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to pay a membership to access all the features. It is worthy if you a team working on mutual projects and boards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Basically, it allows me to work in a more streamline and direct way. It is ideal to collaborate with colleagues and show progress to stakeholders and partners in a more dynamic way than your typical PPT!

Miro makes collaborating virtually with others as close as possible to being in person. It provides all the tools and capabilities to make working together super easier whether it's for a workshop or more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes certain functions can be buggy

Good brainstorming and ice breaker tool but lacks the functionality for flow charts and diagrams

  • January 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- The voting and timer functions are great for group brainstorming activities.
- Good variety of shapes and stencils.
- Appreciate the ability to organize boards into projects and projects into teams.
- Some attempt at integrations with other apps but could be improved, especially Figma and Confluence integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
- It's very difficult to create journey maps or diagrams because of the limited layering and grouping functionality. LucidChart does a much better job for diagram and flowchart creation.
- Lacks true tables and grids for text-heavy content.
- Need more auto-layout functionality.
- Text formatting is clunky especially when hyperlinks are involved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team bonding is the main use as well as some light journey mapping and documentation of visual elements that are hard to translate to pure text in a PRD.

A key tool for remote work

  • January 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro really changed the way that we work on remote work. We are able to concentrate a lot of information in the same place in an easy way to find and use. We can use different templates to adapt each step in our process. The integration with Microsoft Teams helped a lot in meeting facilitations and we could show the results to a big audience. Miro became a key tool in our team and I'm really glad to use it in a daily basis.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes manage the licences is not too easy, even for just one meeting I need to create a new user to explore the full potential of Miro which is not so optimal for our company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can agroupe all information for differents meetings in the same place, easy to access that later. The major point for me with Miro is faciliting a remote PI planning, is much more efficiency our remote version than the in person version that we used to have, thanks to Miro.

Versatile collaboration tool

  • January 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Our team has been using Miro past the past year for retros, feature planning, group decision making, collaborative design sessions... We have found that the tool is pretty easy to use with little necessary onboarding. It is a great collaboration tool as we can all have visibility on the boards and see the edits live during our team working sessions. It is pretty easy to set up and share with other collaborators.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the product but I think that I am not fully aware of all the features it offers. It would be great if Miro could introduce features that the user is not aware of. Maybe a gamified onboarding checklist that ensure that the user has explored all the features that Miro offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Easy interface to collaborate live with a remote team
- Easy for presenter to guide the audience to the topics currently discusses
- Easy to take notes
- Easy for everyone to edit document

An amazing tool for both UX Design and Research!!

  • January 09, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are many things I like about Miro. It allows you to stay organized with your research results, it is great for displaying and presenting your results in a clean and tasteful way, the different features that are available are great for collaborating across teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were more colors offered in the sticky note section. Because I work in research, I work with a lot of data and when I organize my data into different sticky notes, I find myself running out of color options to choose from.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is a really helpful tool when it comes to organization and analysis of my data, but what I find extremeley helpful is its ability to allow you to collaborate across different teams which is something that is crucial to my job. Another problem that miro is solving is that it is a really creative platform that offers many different design features. I am not a very creative person, but what I find helpful is the pre-made template designs that Miro offers for their boards.
