MIro review-generally a pleasant experiance

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to work together, that makes miro a lot more helpful than other tools. I like having different folders so that I can keep all my thoughts organized when working on different projects.

I like making some of the items on my board really small it helps me visualize that steps are important and what steps need to be done but at a later date. it also helps me fit a whole project into one view so I know what I am missing to what things might become future bottle necks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when using miro and I am copying and pasting notes it is not user-friendly it gives me a hard time and one selects the right thing or I have to click too much to do a simple task.

one of the biggest issues I have with Miro is that the templates I make are only usable i miro, and it is hard to share them or turn them into PDF files so that I could add them to PowerPoint, or any other slide show presentation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we mostly use miro for road map templates and Pm planning. The templates are really the best thing about miro and they make it really easy to organize time and features. we were in a fintech hackathon and had never done a lean modal canvas before so we used the one from miro and it helped us organize our idea and create a product that actually won the hackathon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
it is easy to use but hard to master.

What do you like best about the product?
I like to use the timer for ideation workshops, the zoom in & out bc it allows me to use many boards at the same time, and I also like the templates you have because it help me to choose the correct one that best fits to what I need.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the music because it is very repetitive!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me to visualize ideas and to achieve teamwork in a better place where all ideas and opinions are as important as others.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make a link so youtube music or spotify can be usable during the timer session.

Easy collaboration and onboarding everywhere

What do you like best about the product?
The tool it's incredibly easy to use and to learn. The main power is the quickness in explaining how the tools work and what can do also for the people who touch for the first time the board. Also, if you think that a guest (nonpaying user) can actually do many things like a regular registered user. This allows to invite new people as guest in the board to have all kind of experiences without having to spend too much money.

Another big upside of Miro is its community where one can find all kinds of nice template ready to be used and also all the answer/help for all kind of problems.

We have found it great for the agile retrospective and planning but also for all kinds of design thinking and brainstorming activity.

Obviously it's incredibly useful for non-collocated teams but also when people are inside the same room because you can have a digital environment where everyone can give his contribute and don't worry about the need to store the information in a digital way.

Also to underling is also the number of apps that are available inside the store and that offer all kind of native connection with other great and commonly used platform (e. Jira, Asana, excel ) but also aps to inherit great tools like voting session, poker planning, timers and many others.

When it comes to showing value releases through mockups or presentation Miro comes also in hand because it offers the possibility to have presentation session with chat and video streaming all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Standard kanban template and cards are not the best (post-it are actually better to work with).
Pricing for enterprise teams is available only with a high number of users (100 or more in Europe, that is a little bit too much).
Jira connector doesn't allow to create sub-tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Also if we have team members spread worldwide or at home for smart working we can have great collaboration sessions.
Miro is also helping us to create a digital environment where we can work on agile practices with people.
Moreover, by using a digital board, we can now share critical information across many people and have them all always aligned with the status of things.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for the paid plan if you want to have all the features and power of the tool. Lowest plan it's enough to have all practice and onboard your organization.

    Marketing and Advertising

Good core product. Poor Admin and support.

What do you like best about the product?
The application itself is a great tool for the business, especially with the diverse teams spread across different regions, and remote working.
What do you dislike about the product?
The support is only available via email and takes an age to get your point across and talk to someone that can actually help. It's even difficult finding the support page! (Buried in the app)

The on boarding is terrible, with just a poorly written welcome email.

The administration and security controls are poor.

The documentation is often poorly written. Often with trial and error being the Only sure way to clarify or reject the documentation.

The licensing model is very expensive. Especially for the day passes, which can only be purchased in extra large bundles and only last until the end of the contract, and not from the date of purchase.

All of which is based on an Enterprise subscription.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote whiteboard collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're using the enterprise features, make sure you trial them.

Also, ask about the coating model of day passes and their expiration etc.

Ask Miro about their support options and channels.

Great UX/UI, makes it best mind mapping tool so far

What do you like best about the product?
- It's templates gallery is the first thing that jumps out at you. It's very nicely organized and well-curated

- Worth noting that collaboration features of the software offer a great deal of functionality

- A visualisation tool gives the feeling of using a high-end graphics program, based on how easy it is to draw diagrams and align them
What do you dislike about the product?
- I would have preferred a bit more transparency for the Consultant Plan, i.e. purchasing a license for a single user means you are not able to include anyone else on your board, therefore you would have had to purchase an additional license for your Board

- Also, it would be beneficial if there would be more flexibility for Consultants with only one existing client, in order to prevent them from paying for the same value twice
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- This is a great tool for running product design sprints, ideation sessions, and brainstorming sessions, as well as for performing different types of planning exercises

- The most value add for me was a hands-on approach and easy-to-use nature of the process, so it was a very rewarding experience for me after having completed a couple of product design sprints

- It also has the advantage of providing collaboration capabilities and allowing you to take notes inside the document, which allows you to keep all things organized

- In the event that I wanted to make a short presentation on a specific subject, I just selected the corresponding mode and began the briefing

    Design

It's the best collaboration, ideation tool i used in the last 2 years.

What do you like best about the product?
i like how miro easy to use and learn, and they are very helpful and help the users with Miro Academy to learn the team how to use it well, and Miroverse to get templates which help me take actions quickly
What do you dislike about the product?
i simply don't have something bad in my experience that's why I gave Miro 10
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used miro to organize my insights and ideas and share them with my team so we can discuss and ideate on it, and I used it for presentation and my attendees like how they could be involved in
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is a powerful tool with good pricing options, if you are starting and can't afford it, the free plan will helpp you as I used it a lot till I got upgrades

Wonderful tool for the tech savvy, can be tricky for beginners

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has been a game-changer for my team. We frequently test new tools and this has been a keeper. We use it to work collaboratively- to brainstorms, theme ideas, vote on priorities- and it works like a charm. We love the sticky note function to capture our ideas, the voting function and the timer for prioritising ideas. The frames are great, as they allow you to layout text and diagrams as if on a word processer/ presentation software, then easily export.
The Miroverse is great for finding and using templates designed by other users- so you never have to reinvent the wheel (eg. SWOT grid, Impact vs Effort Matrix).
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigation on Miro can be tricky for the less digitally able. We sometimes use Miro to run interactive workshops and we've had feedback that the navigation is dizzying.
The grid function has given me occasional headaches, with glitches and lost text.
There is also occasional glitches with the copy and paste function, and we've lost text when attempting to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps my team collaborate and think divergently. The environment is apt for creative exercises, with all the right tools and the flexibility to use it as needed.
We also use it to facilitate online workshops and focus groups. Its great to have a customisable collaborative space that participants can input directly to.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're bringing others onto your Miro board, I recommend providing a short training session beforehand to help them familiarise themselves with the software. The Miroverse has amazing tools and activities for this purpose.
