Miro's made my life as a facilitator and Product Designer 100% easier!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's collaboration and adaptability are my favourite things. I use it for whiteboarding, workshops, and keeping knowledge hubs that others can easily add to.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest there's not something I dislike per se. But a combination of Gather.Town (or a plugin) would be great. Or a means to have a visual representation of Avatars and Maps (beyond the cursors). This helps with creating a more human-like experience whenever necessary.

Also, it would be awesome to be able to import/export various types of files like Figma and it being compatible. Especially with Figjam now in the scene. I can see that some members in our design team are already jumping to Figjam and abandoning Miro. :(
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for whiteboarding, workshop design, and facilitation. As well as keeping many knowledge centrals that others can easily contribute to. It becomes a means to pass on frameworks, ways of working and shared knowledge.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do you whiteboard a lot? Use Miro. Do you run workshops a lot? Use Miro. :D

We love using Miro at our company

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, very intuitive, and can help us solve various problems. It's also fast, responsive, and performs well.
What do you dislike about the product?
If anything, I would like some more standard shapes and colors to select, but there's not anything I dislike. Integration to software such as Microsoft Teams would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple departments use it for different reasons, from artists using it to create mood boards to production using it to create pipeline flow charts and managers to create org charts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's much easier to use than software like Visio, more collaborative and intuitive.

Great collaboration tool for small teams - especially whilst remote.

What do you like best about the product?
A tonne of new features added (some more useful than others!) and some great templates and interaction. It feels like a great pace of development with thoughtful additions to enhance collaboration. If you love a whiteboard, get Miro - it's the modern day equivalent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features feel a bit "bloaty" and I don't know if they're all necessary. I think Miro are aware they are building for a broad range of users - there is a risk it just becomes too complex for the average user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Brainstorming, collaboration, workshops - it's great for all of these things. If you're making strategy decks in Google Slides or Keynote - STOP! Use Miro instead - it'll allow you to coalesce your thoughts and organise your information

Best whiteboarding tool out there

  • May 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a really fast and super collaborative whiteboarding tool. During the corona times, it made a really good contribution to our online collaboration. There're not many other products like Miro. I also like the plethora of features cleverly sprinkled around the UI. You'll be surprised by the amount of features you find in the product but they're never in your way. The UI nicely minimalist and customizable so you can adjust it to your needs. And it works in both app on your computer and in the browser.
This is simply a tool you want to use even if you don't have to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional crash or hiccup which could be accounted to massive user growth during the corona times, I guess. Nothing significant though. And if something like this happened, the support is clear and communicative and you can easily check the status of all miro services online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use miro throughout the whole UX design projects - from taking the research notes when talking to participants, to ideation sessions with colleagues, zoom meetings with customers, running online workshops, to simple prototyping.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it, play with it and you will see whether it fits your use case. The plethora of templates and learning resources will help you along the way. The community is also very active so you can really find answers to your questions really quickly. Do not also be afraid of asking on twitter or elsewhere.

Versatile and easy to use - Miro quickly became my go-to tool

  • May 25, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
It can do anything I'd do on a sheet of paper, and a lot more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to the large amount of boards we as a team have created it's not always obvious to find the one I'm looking for. I'd also like to archive the old ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently I use Miro if I want to
- Annotate a screenshot (or a bunch of them)
- Create a user journey
- Organize my thoughts
- Document a process
- Design something in the factory games I play

As a team we use Miro for every workshop - meaning we have a whiteboard that is
- Infinite
- Persistent
- Accessible from the home office
- Legible ;)

Lifesaver

  • May 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
During the first lockdown, Miro was a lifesaver to my for being able to create an interesting and collaborative learning environment in higher education. Especially my tutor group of ten students above 20 took to it withouth any tutorials. When working with other groups especially colleagues, there needed to be time for getting to know the tool and trying out at an easy level. I have used it in many different settings and love all it's features. I recommend it full heartedly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There should only be a notice to say that sending a link to everyone is necessary, all other features like inviting someone seem to cause problems and I was given this advice also by our master user.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Education, collaboration, project management across countries and within University, Brainstorming, Lectures, Moodboards, Design Thinking, it is all possible.

An excellent tool for collaboration, workshops and interactive meetings.

What do you like best about the product?
It's an excellent tool for collaboration, workshops and interactive meetings. As well synchronous as asynchronous, with tons and tons of templates and a lot of helpful resources.
The export to PDF is an absolute win to create visually appealing reports after the workhop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I'm missing at the moment, is the possibility to export post-its as text so you can select some post-its, copy-as-text and paste immediately in Word / Google docs. It would speed up post-workshop-processing a lot.
The export to PDf is a great win, on the other hand.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to start running workshops during the pandemic.
I was able to start a new business!

Board your work at ease for seamless collaboration

  • May 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- great variety of board options (data flow diagrams, mindmaps, org charts, selective matrix, structuring tables )

- templates for the type of activity (meeting, brainstorm, 1-1, idea screening, feedback call sessions)

- collaborative editing and audio/video conferencing (it doesn't require the third-party audio/video conferencing tool for collaboration

- overall UI/UX (nice color combinations and intuitive design)

- different gestures depending on the input types

- almost all platforms and devices support
What do you dislike about the product?
- the drag-n-drop editor lagging

- selection misclicking

- the limitations of the Freemium version

- performance and bugs improvement on mobile and devices

- harder to create the custom template
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- workflow visualization

- it's a short and simple solution for presenting the complicated schemes over the ppt way

- sessions, user group meetings, lean coffees, and storyboarding going better on Google Meet call
(it's easy to a present and a lot of people staring at a screen.

- keeps people focused on the problem at hand

- organize the collaborative multitasking
( most of the team would like to play a part and be engaged in the process of ideas generating, screening and decision making)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I should definitely consider the purchase of the premium version of the service.
The workshops and Q&A sessions are going smoothly with:
- data flow diagrams,
- mindmaps,
- org charts,
- selective matrix,
- structuring tables
- templates for the type of activity

Great whiteboard platform

  • May 25, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
While collaborating, our team did not touch the limits of Miro. Great whiteboard with a variety of tools.
Good complement for Design Sprint week.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find any. Maybe just that installed Miro app is worse than browser one.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We did Design Sprint weeks in Miro Whiteboard. In corona times, when colleagues are only online, this helped a lot. The whole week "conversations" are there—even sketching of a new app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Previously I used two whiteboard tools, and by this time, Miro is the best tool I could work on in Design sprint weeks.
It is a great tool and helps your team build the products that aim at your goals.
