Helpful Tool for Remote Collaboration and Connection

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows for an in-person feel to meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some features are hard to learn, difficult to teach. Not every feature is useful, so learning all of them seems like overkill.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annual reviews, group collaboration where input is required but folks don't feel like they're put on the spot. Passive input!

Great Digital/Remote Project and Brainstorming Tool

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows for extensive workspace customization - if you need a digital means to work together remotely on anything visual from a complex project, slideshow, or quick brainstorming session, you're likely going to be able to accomplish that in Miro (and moreover likely with a small learning curve, if any). Also helpful that it supports video/audio and screenshare, so you don't have to balance another conferencing app with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that would be nice would be an offline mode; if the full product can't be available offline, an offline viewing and notes feature could be helpful to record things for editing/later implementation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has been very helpful in closing some of the "gaps" that a fully remote environment can sometimes leave as it replaces in-person brainstorming and visual project planning while providing more tools and flexibility than an in-person session may be able to provide.

Miro, best for user journey maps and site maps for your next Ux Project!

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has the best experience for ease user usage. I enjoyed every step I made on Miro, coupled with a simple interface and an intuitive experience.

The feature to be able to drop comments and seemingly work as a team was excellent. We had fun demonstrating our knowledge base and sharing our ideas in the best way possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Before this review, I did not have any bad experiences. The interface had users in mind. I had tips to assist me if I ever find something confusing.

As such there is nothing to dislike on the Miro platform. All I have for them is commendations and to use all user feedback to improve the platform.

That will bring in more user and ensure Miro is better than its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I solve user journey mapping with miro. Miro has this interface that takes care of every scenario. All you have to do is think about what you want to achieve, and you will get it done as soon as possible.

The benefits have been immense. I have been able to upscale my app pretty quickly and given my stakeholder the type of view they may need to ensure their Mobile app can come to the market and become succesful no matter what.

Amazing product, just one thing holding me back from giving a 10!

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing interface, real attention to detail we are now using it really extensively within our business - definitely an improvement vs physical post it exercises
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the search functionality is only available for Enterprise packages, but Enterprise packages don't make sense for smaller teams <50, so we've no way to access that enhanced functionality which is really frustrating, especially when you do a search and it tells you there are 8 results on boards but you have to upgrade to see where they are :( This is the only thing holding me back from giving a 10
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote working collaboration internally and externally

A beautiful, simple canvas for working on...anything.

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is intuitive and attractive. No heavy-handed use of colours or graphics that distract. You can be up and running in seconds and using shortcuts very quickly. If you dream of the biggest desk in the world, this is it. I like the minimalism of the design. Other competitive products seem to want to put their stamp on what a sticky note looks like, for example. The template library is really good. It looks like a product that could have been designed by Mac. Other products seem very PC.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it a little confusing about who can edit and whether they have to be in my team - in which case I have to take out a licence for them.
I would like to have a choice of colour for the canvas - if this option exists, I can't see it.
I use the kanban template but it, for some reason, seems to be less concrete and straightforward than Trello.
It would be good to have access to third party template designers - a kind of marketplace where I could find less mainstream templates to use. I get the impression that you have absolute control of the templates that are in the library - or you police them quite heavily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organising complex information into simple, graphical snapshots.
Collaborating on canvases with colleagues.
Designing digital documents that people can add to, where appropriate.
In all cases, I can show and tell without making a document. It's non linear, in a good way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Digital whiteboards look quite similar to one another but, the more you use Miro, the more you see what the others don't do. Or don't do so well.

A virtual wall to work on!

What do you like best about the product?
I like the templates, as well as Miroverse as a source of inspiration
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more font and copy editing options
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration and organising research and data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the templates if you're not sure how to do something.

Fits for almost everything

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Extreme flexibility. I am thinking visually and I can put in Miro practically every thought of mine, which I could put on paper.
No borders. Left or right, up or down, upscale or downscale - can keep adding content and never limited
Quick and intuitive (mostly). No thinking or learning needed - just dropping thoughts straight on a whiteboard, no distraction. This is essential in creative work, so that thoughts keep flowing w/o interruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is expensive for large teams. The price is fair for an active user, but not everyone is an active user. So Miro costs us the same as each of Jira (with plugins) or Confluence (with plugins) or Slack, while those are used much more intensely. This limits us for wider utilization and we limit users granted access to corporate Miro account.
Lacking flexibility in text markup. i.e. in a sticker I would often need some text larger (like a title) and some other text smaller (clarification).
Mindmap functionality is still basic. Lacking large visual tags/icons (like in Xmind), lacking different styles/colors for mindmap nodes (i.e. good/bad marking).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It brings visual collaboration to a whole new level. Even an actual physical whiteboard/stickers might be less convenient sometimes. In remote work, Miro makes meetings extremely more effective (2-3x timewise). Communicating an idea visually becomes 2-3x faster.

Enabling collaboration in the new, remote workplace

  • May 18, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro excels as a collaborative workspace, with its infinite canvas you are free to explore all the facets of the conversation without limitation - but also offers an extensive range of templates (and the ability to create your own templates) so you don't have to start with a blank page each time.
Collaboration features have continued to evolve too, with great voting features and now the ability to have video meetings actually within the board itself.
Continuous development of the product is my favourite feature of the platform and I always look forward to seeing the new features added.
What do you dislike about the product?
Resizing elements is not always intuitive - I often find myself wanting to expand a text box in one direction but get stuck expanding it within its existing ratio. Can be frustrating as it doesn't work as other similar applications do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a product team we were used to working on whiteboards in meeting rooms *a lot*. Covid has stopped that from being possible which was a huge limitation to our progress during Covid lock-down, but with miro we have been able to remove this barrier and start working collaboratively again.

Great software. Collaboration is easy using this. Very visual, easy to update, follow and use

What do you like best about the product?
The visual nature to see a complete view of any project
What do you dislike about the product?
Could use more guided help functions to really help make the most of the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote working, project collaboration, project frameworks. Multiple contributors and managing a remote project.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Jump in with the free version. Use it and see how you get on. So many functions that I am sure it is worth the full license.

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration features, myriad of integration options, fresh modern interface
What do you dislike about the product?
Inability to paste a 'table' from excel using copy + paste
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration between remote teams in our pandemic times, ability to visualise ideas with mock ups + build storyboard
