Miro is great for getting things out of your head and in front of your eyes.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the free format of Miro, and how intuitive it is, Miro just gets out of your way and lets you work. I can be as chaotic or as organized with my ideas as I need.
However, when you need to organize and collaborate your ideas better Miro has tons of templates to choose from that you can also be changed on the fly to fit your needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how Miro askes me how much I like a template before I even have the opportunity to use it. I would also like to see the ability to control shapes and not be limited to the ones given to us. I would also like to create my own vector shapes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run problem-solving workshops remotely through Miro. I have helped startups visualized and optimize their workflows in real-time with Miro. The benefit of having a tool to help others visualize their problems and solutions quickly is a huge help.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is great for getting and sharing all your ideas on the most unrestrictive platform ever.

What do you like best about the product?
An awesome way to integrate any size teams with leaders. Besides an incredible way to co create amazing manageable on demand structure, with the point of view of your crew
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro doesn't have an integration with Excel that allow you to use only Miro to manage other board tools. Miro use the link not the boards in that app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Engagement with team. Allow every member interact with a online board that are replied to all members of the company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a 200% collaborative tool for your company that is your player.

Great tool for remote collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time updates of where people are on the board. Plug ins to connect Jira and Trello so we don't duplicate writing content in multiple places.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be better at handling images. It's vital for me and my project to have screenshots of our designs on the board to annotate and create journeys and maps. If Miro could somehow compress the image going in to help with performance, that would be incredible. My board has over 300 screenshots on and it's vital for the entire team to work and access this. Many of my peers have older work equipment and slows their machines down considerably. More typography choices and sizing options would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the issue of collaborating in big teams while all working from home. Having a real time tool which is as lightweight as Miro makes participation more accessible.

What do you like best about the product?
A lot of options and a very good interface. A platform for modern work, enabling collocated, distributed, and remote teams to communicate and collaborate across formats, tools, channels, and time zones — without the constraints of physical location, meeting space, and whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, it does what it promises. I only had some problems with zooming, but the helpdesk gave me a work around. Very responsive as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We perform software analysis and structuring information with Miro. But even in my private time I use miro for hobby or solving complex problems together with my family.

An easy platform to collaborate with others and organise your project in various aspects

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's templates are great and vary, and the experience using the platform is easy and intuitive
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, not much actually. Sometimes it's hard to find the right template to use (since there are many similar ones)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great collaborative tool. I use it for big projects in their initial phase as a brainstorm spreadsheet and inspiration board. As a collaboration tool, it helps me and the team track and be aligned on the project's status and that everyone can share and contribute.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Already did, and I would definitely recommend Miro to others in the future.

What do you like best about the product?
I couldn't be without Miro now! I am a visual thinker, so it helps with my personal projects as well as (of course) collaboration. Brilliant for show casing and collaborating on UX designs, for analysing user research data, for workshops and for journey mapping. All in all an indispensible digital tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. Miro is great. I can't think of a thing I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote collaboration!
Visual thinking
Workshopping

What do you like best about the product?
The real-time collaboration is fantastic, and the templates and wireframe stencils are super useful
What do you dislike about the product?
There's really not much to dislike. Text editing could be more advanced, perhaps (more styling options)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do all my UX design work there these days really from project plans to journey maps to flow charts and UI wireframes. The wireframe stencils save me a lot of time to paint a rough picture.

Miro facilitates working collaboratively online

  • May 12, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It allows to share and work collaboratively on a "white canvas". Being a designer, I really enjoy that it works similarly to programmes I am used to, such as Illustrator. It allows being visual, which is great to share, but it also enables others to contribute. It has been a great help to facilitate workshops, and it was crucial to collaborate during these pandemic times.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the way the teams work a bit confusing. Specially when someone joins my team, and later create their own board (and often they don't realise their own board is in my team). After getting the educational plan, thus allowing guests to edit the boards without the need to sign in to my team, it simplified this issue.
Although for me it is quite intuitive and easy to use Miro, some people with whom I collaborated with struggled with how it worked, as it was very new for them. However, I solved this by sharing my screen and taking notes that were visible to them, from what they were saying, which made the collaboration richer.
Also, it would be nice if text boxes would allow different text sizes (allowing different hierarchies), and if post-it notes allowed to bold parts of the text.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mainly managing and facilitating collaboration when it is impossible to meet in person. It is also a great documentation tool for a meeting or a workshop. For instance, in an on-site workshop I would probably take a photo of what was written in the post-its, which is not as useful if you want to work on the top of that. Miro really helps on this regard.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Very useful tool to stimulate and manage online collaboration.
