Miro Whiteboard is pure gold!

  • May 02, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, sharability and affordability. The Miro board is really quite intuitive to use and a great way to share and present ideas and reports.
For a fairly minimum subscription you can also allow your colleagues to comment and alter your Boards. We have begun to use it regularly for committe meetings where all of the materials and links can be prepared in advance on the Board and maintained there for those who didn't make it to the meeting!
I also love the ease with which we can create links, images, and resource folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
That I hadn't discovered it earlier.
It's hard to find fault actually and some of my comments might only illustrate my complete ignorance of the technology.
Could there be a way of 'running' a Powerpoint file within the Board?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps me gather my thoughts and resources in one place..
It provides a fantastic platform for working in a Team that is scattered - and particularly in creating a useful space for having meetings.
It's a great way for collaborating with colleagues across digital space.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I haven't found anything remotely as good.

The missing whiteboard when working remote

  • May 02, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The missing whiteboard on steroids is solved by Miro.
The small features which make a huge difference - Timer with b/g music for example. The OOB templates.
Ease of use and intuitivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
Privacy - might be that I've missed it, but the capability to have a board set as private while creating it and not available to the whole team at all times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working remote and globally - the capability to share the same view and collaboarate

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing everything in Miro is perfect by far
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration in a large design team is challenging & sharing valuable information and having a workshop with them virtually is challenging, and Miro takes a huge part to help us achieve how we can work together more productive way in Zoom meetings

Great project for pathway design and collaboration

  • May 01, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like its integration with MS products like MS teams and the drag and drop functionality of MS office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The inability to copy and paste tables from Excel and also the zoom when you first start can be difficult to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a healthcare business so we need to map patient pathways and collaborate with different organisations to understand the design of healthcare services. It has been very easy to share pathway diagrams and work collaboratively to build new pathways or understand blockages in existing pathways for new health care services we are implementing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would run some trial run lighting decision jam sessions with people you want to collaborate with, as people will need to build their confidence using the platform, rather than expect them to use it straight away.

Great tool for remote work!

  • May 01, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very easy to use and provides a wide range of features. It's very nice that they offer new features quite often. There are many predefined templates which can be used and adapted for your own purposes. I really like the voting feature with the possibility to turn on some music. Another cool feature is the icon finder. Together with the basic tools you can create real nice workshop boards with all the possibilities Miro provides.
A very important feature for running retrospective is the bulk mode for sticky notes. It's great to have the possibility to write a bunch of sticky notes anonymously.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing what I really dislike. The only thing that I can think of what should be improved is the structure of projects. If you are using Miro quite heavily with many users the numbers of projects will increase qhite quick. It would be nice to heave more possibilites to structure projects eg. by filters, a search function. Also an own dashboard for all projects, tagging and a possibility to categorize projects would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's easily possible to facilitate all kinds of remote workshops, training sessions, retrospectives, and many other meetings with this tool. I have prepared different kind of elearning sessions for agile software developer. A very nice thing is, that there are many possibility to add gamificiations elements and make the trainings interactive and more exiting for participants.
We also use it for just simple remote meetings to have discussions wehre everyone can participate. It's nice to have commonly prepared meeting minutes in the end.
We also use it to sketch mockups, prototypes, and architecture designs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
When you look at Miro also consider the wide range of predefined templates and integrated Apps you can use.

Miro allowed my online workshops and meetings to become much more dynamic and engaging.

  • May 01, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Miro because it is very intuitive to use, and even if the audience is new to the platform, in just a few explanations people feel very at ease.

I also like the very clean design, enhancing the experience of the content that is being shared during my activities. I like the "game" look with people "seeing" each other mouse around.

Other special features that I really enjoy are the timer (with background music) and the voting system. These two features really make me feel that I am in the same room as the participants.

Since I've started to use Miro in my online activities during COVID times, the quality of interaction improved so much that by the end of the meeting I tend to feel more nourished than tired, and for me, this is a great indicator.

Besides receiving great feedback from the participants of the activities that I have been offering.
What do you dislike about the product?
The few things that I wish Miro team could work on are:

- The video conference feature never worked for me... I managed to use it for a few minutes and then everything freezes.

- For some clients who want to record the working sessions on zoom, when I do a screen share the Miro slows down the zoom, and vice-versa ... it is very annoying ... so I try to avoid using Miro and zoom at the same time... and screen share... I realized that Wonderworks better with Miro for screen-sharing, but it doesn't record ...

- Last week I facilitated a session at a conference, and I was a bit surprised to see that Miro didn't open to all the participant's computers ... maybe older PCs? I asked them to try a different browser and it didn't work anyway ... so I download the PDFs for them, but it is not the same experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a moment that people are being overloaded by online meetings, Miro allowed the online meetings and group sessions to become less "squared", more engaging, and in a moment of lockdown, people feel closer.

Miro boards allow collective intelligence to flow easier, facilitating synergy and enhancing social emergence to become visible.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My online workshops and dynamic online sessions took a quantum leap since I started to use Miro.

Best online whiteboard I have used

  • May 01, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro doesn't have the spatial constraints of other platforms; it is infinite. Being able to build your project dynamically is fantastic. I also value the templates and editing features that allow me to create the frameworks I need quickly. Finally, it is a platform that is immediately usable. The intuitive interface means that online workshop participants can focus on the content rather than the technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro should have an integrated polling/survey feature. Also, I tend to use a separate video conferencing application to avoid overloading some participant's computers (for some reason, it seems to prevent dropouts more).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro every day across my consulting clients. Typical uses are virtual interactive workshops, agile program walls, and collaborative design projects. I even use it for my personal uses, such as designing my backyard renovation or exploring side hustle ideas.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are many platforms to chose from, so do your research. Make sure Miro is one of the options you explore.

Miro has improved our team meetings and brainstorming sessions

  • April 30, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's straightforward to collaborate with team members and share boards with guests as well. There are many different graphic options to express our ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of paying per user. I wish that there were package levels for the number of users instead of per person.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro for weekly meetings and high-level product brainstorming. Our team is all remote, and we love the ability to collaborate virtually.

Miro helps us feel more connected

  • April 30, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like the ability to edit things in real-time with many team members. It gives us simple controls and options to fine-the design. I've also enjoyed the many integrations and templates. I found the workshop templates to be creative and refreshing to use to build camaraderie as a team. Since going 100% remote, we needed something that could keep us engaged instead of going through the same routine. I've used Miro to conduct retro, designed a team space, and utilized it for a persona project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've noticed that Miro can have trouble with loading times if there are too many elements on the board. These are things that can be optimized in the future. I would like to explore some controls for a three-dimensional canvas. I'm thinking of programs like Google SketchUp though I know it's very different. I've also been intrigued by other products such as topia.io which creates a virtual work for people to walk through and engage in. I also noticed that Miro has a hard time directly importing a gif. I can't copy and paste it directly and it can take some time to get used to the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us work collaboratively in a remote environment. It also helps make the exercises more engaging and even fun as we get a chance to express ourselves freely. It keeps track of a lot of disparate information and is helpful for thinking through complex flows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is an excellent tool for any organization looking to collaborate on a big project, diagram flows, or just find a space to have fun together. I would not recommend using it primarily as a wireframing/prototyping tool since that's not the primary purpose. I would try to use Miro for some sample exercises and slowly start to build buy-in from others in your organization by getting people used to the main benefits.

Super dinamic and useful for virtual meetings

  • April 30, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
All together colaborating on the same board. super helpful to share ideas
The ability to conect to jira and the great image bank
They are allways releasing new features and also giving webinars with ideas and shearing experiencies.
What do you dislike about the product?
Many great features only available on paid accounts
Like: the limit on the amount of boards,
the anonimous acces
hidding parts of the board
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
shearing ideas, collaborating on the creation of new features of our product, retrospectives
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it; it is really easy to use and fun; if you like de free version, consider upgrading; you will not regret!
lookup the miroverse to discover new templates
you can use it to create mock-ups or product discovery sessions.
In my opinion the best use is for retrospectives, with the paid version you can hide parts of the board and also use the clock inside de app to limit the time of the activities
