Miro as a great tool for distant teaching and learning

What do you like best about the product?
What I adore is a plenty number of ready-made amazing templates. I can see where my students are and bring them to me if they are lost. To tell more, I can embed a lot of videos for my students to watch them in one place. They can collaborate simultaneously and everyone sees the results of team's work at once. I love the ability to use Education team as a teacher as I use plenty of resources and I can't pay for every resource. My salary won't be enough to cover the expences))).
What do you dislike about the product?
I suppose that it would be a great opportunity to embed not only video but audio as well. Sometimes the board is getting frozen and it takes time to wait. I am not sure if it is because of the miro or my computer system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I appreciate the job Miro does to help us use such techniques as brainstorming, virtual meetings, process documentation, team collaboration, efficiency with the timer. This feature keeps everyone on the call on task and present.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not waste your time and start using Miro. Do not miss your chance to collaborate on the best board. You can use a variety of task on this whiteboarding platform. There is no need to go to other places as everything you can find in one place. You can do with your students workshopping, strategy mapping, design, product development and process visualization.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is intuitive and easy to use. Its possibilities are infinite. There are aaa lot of very useful templates and it is always improving and releasing new cool features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything that I dislike. I have been using Miro for five years (since it was Real-Time Board) and I have brought it to all of my works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a digital Product Designer, I use it for benchmarking, wireframing, creating personas, story mappings, affinity diagrams, sharing insights...
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it!!

What do you like best about the product?
I love the eternal desk and the focus on collaboration. Also getting icons and google pics into the tool is fantastic. And that one can drag PPT and other material into the desk is awesome, you can then both have research and produce in the same view.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to export selected frames to Powerpoint. It would be nice to move the graphical elements into a pptx editable file to share to others. The pricing strategy for private use is a too pricey and also by accident I added people to my team to a huge cost, so for personal use I am thinking of stop using it because of the price point. Half the price would be OK (i bough consultant license).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It lets many people work together in creative mode and also be engaged. The value of that is HUGE!

miro review awesome, still work to be done to be amazing

What do you like best about the product?
flexibility to navigate infinitive, making charts
What do you dislike about the product?
not so many integrations with apple, notion both sides, pivot tables, excels, analytics in thereof or move back and forward between nested (embedded works)

Example
I use notion and OneNote to play around with iPad and documents in groups, courses, and lifestreams, miro can be embedded in notion but I can not embed the notion in miro, nor do excel analytics and turned them into a chart with metrics in situ. (one note can do that integrating with excel with one click)

This would speed up metrics works, and mixing writing into AI to text or drawings.
Maybe integrate with good notes or apps like that as well, we content creators could have a major role as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is easier for those users that do not play with whiteboards, so it can help somehow.
I would like to have more animations for example so that interactions could've bigger, polls etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
has a lot of potentials, for my personal needs, it is not there yet, so I need to use others at the same time with multi windows.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy learning curve, very extensible, quick adoption by most people in the team
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all whiteboards; things become scattered and you need to organize, structure, and clean up before it gets out of control.
Expensive to have everyone in the organization on it for small startups (20 people)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaboration, brainstorming, ideation, structuring

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best features for me is the way that I can organize all my content in frames, so that I can always jump to relevant content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that there is no polling functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During Covid 19 we are no longer able to use physical whiteboards in the office. Miro allows us to still work together on digital whiteboards while all being in different locations.

What do you like best about the product?
The variety of tools that can help you to create things, to easily express your ideas to your team. I can copy a page-link or a screenshot and even draw uppon it. I can also integrate many tools or other programs with Miro, like Slack, Teams, Azure, Google Drive, OneDrive, GitHub, Notion and more. One of the best things about it, is that I can easily use all these tools in one page. I can copy a page link in Miro and my teammates can draw over the image of the page, use arrows to link it to another text or even another page. This can create a very interesting flow for ideation or even to discuss about ideas.
I also like to use arrows, screenshots and manual drawings to organize some flows on computer design problens. I am the kind of person who has many ideas, but sometimes it's hard for me to express to my teammates. With miro, I can draw, I can write, I can do lots of things to express my ideas in the best way. Also, they can comment on specific points (on a draw, or on a text, etc). This is very helpful to create discussions.
What do you dislike about the product?
On free version, you need to be careful about who you invite to your boards, because they'll have access to all others, even if you don't want them to do so. Also,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I usually use it to work together with my team, in different projects. In one of them, we use card's to create a organization chart and we zoom it to add info's as text. On another project, we use many tools to do brainstorming, ideation, planning, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Please, take a look at YouTube. There you have many videos showing how to use diferent tools. There are many possibillities for using it.

Superb for online collaboration

  • April 30, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily create your own templates to support working together using the structures you're already familar with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Actually, there are so many templates available on Miro that it can be a distraction - the fact that I can create my own customized templates helps keep those distractions at bay.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've done a collaborative project planning session in face to face workshops for decades, using post-it notes, and when COVID hit we had to pivot quickly. Going with Miro made the transition easy, as a facilitator I can watch several teams working simultaneously in their own boards, possibly the easiest part of moving online.

What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive and straightforward collaboration with shareable boards, live collaboration environment with video options, and commenting. It also has excellent options for subscribers in need of exporting a high-fidelity PDF of their maps and flows. You can drag and drop files onto boards quickly and copy and paste elements while having access to great stylization features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't experienced anything that has reduced my overall experience while using Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I really like the idea of live design and collaboration as it speeds up the process of iteration and goal alignment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your looking for a solid platform to collaborate on intricate maps, processes or design flows - I think these guys nailed it for now. Thanks for a great product!
