Perfect tool for team collaborations (especially during remote times)

  • April 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful features of Miro are the "following" people on the board, timer, and having specific links to the created frames. With follow functionality, I don't need to share my screen, which limits the colleagues to stick to my view the whole time. It gives them the opportunity to follow me but also roam around the board if needed. The timer feature is fantastic for timeboxing, where everyone knows exactly how much time is left (additionally, having the background music for the timer made it even more fun!). Lastly, sharing the link of a specific frame helps a lot when I work on big boards; then i can refer my colleagues to particular areas.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not too fond of the sharing functionality; somehow, it's confusing to the whole company which colleagues and group of colleagues have access to which board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the problem of remote collaborative work on ideation sessions, workshops and retrospectives. I don't know how we worked before Miro!

Essential for remote design collaboration

  • April 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's just straight forward to use. It may not be able to replace design workshops in the room, but it's literally the next best thing!
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not a lot to complain about. Maybe a more robust set of icons to add to quicky access but that's not really essential
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote co-design workshops. Already tricky in person, however Miro manages this wonderfully. I'm not getting the hand cramps writing notes either!

My thought fixer upper

  • April 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. A lifesaver for me as I used to scribble my thoughts on paper and notes everyone. There was no way for me to share my ideas in the first place. It gives me clarity in my own thought process, and it also helps others to see when is going on in my head.
What do you dislike about the product?
Does not have a cheaper yearly plan for a long time personal user like me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
remote team communication and management

    Think Tanks

A flexible collaboration tool to track and communicate ideas

  • April 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that Miro is intuitive and I'm able to easily communicate my ideas to stakeholders in a fun, interactive and professional way.
What do you dislike about the product?
I really wish that drag-click is to drag select, instead of panning around the canvas. Or if there's a shortcut feature where I could change this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find that Miro can at times more effectively replace presentation tools like keynote. It feels less rigid, and more of a two way conversation.

Everything I always wanted in an online shared board.

What do you like best about the product?
Real-time collaboration works beautifully
What do you dislike about the product?
Some interface elements can't be disabled
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro as a whiteboard for everything I do. I use it to brainstorm, catalog projects, write as I study, create professional presentations, develop a business model canvas, and a lot more. It's a platform that allows me to put everything in my head in a very organized and visually appealing way, and I use it for my professional and personal projects.

A life-changing app!

What do you like best about the product?
Using Miro is a true pleasure! I love how easily using stickies is and structuring information using the numerous templates. The connectors automatically adapt to the positioning of the stickies and shapes which is very convenient when creating flows. I also love how easily you can visualize files found in Google Drive links pasted in a Miro board, including pasting YouTube videos. Having access to a consultant plan is also extremely helpful! I'm a happy-paying customer and use Miro daily for everything! As a project/product manager it really has become my go-to tool daily!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't say there is anything I dislike. Perhaps the only thing that would be cool is the ability to creating prototypes on wireframes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I mainly use Miro for planning, diagraming, and product management for remote teams, so this tool really makes collaborating in real-time easy and fun!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't hesitate on using Miro, just make sure to train staff on how to use it, they'll learn quickly, it's a very intuitive tool!

Great collaboration tool

  • April 29, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Flexible and Easy to Use for Qualitative Analysis
- Effortless to plan Brainstorming Sessions here!
- Able to use it to design simple wireframes as well
- Many types of tools and easy shortcuts similar to Figma, but simplified for researchers / non-designers.
- Quite customizable
- Infinite Board Space

Above all, it takes no time for me to set up a collaborative session with teammates, who can easily and immediately pick up how to use this tool duringa brainstorming session.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not too much help in facilitating analysis, it's more of an enabling platform to
[Display To] and [Collaborate On].

Integration isn't fully developed: I wish it could have more detailed integrations however: for example, cards should allow more types of tagging and expanded description, when trying to import data from airtable via zapier. Right now integration is quite basic. MIRO could help a lot more not just serving as a "start from scratch" platform, but one that allows you to automate import of data in more varied and flexible ways. It has incredible potential there.

Font / Color customization could be better: I find myself wanting to highlight or bold some words on a Sticky Note but it doesn't quite work the way I want it to
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it to make and store Personas, as well as to conduct qualitative interview data analysis in a way that allows my teammates to dive into detail as well
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take a while to learn all the shortcuts - trust me, it'll become 2x an efficient and amazing tool once you pick it up.

    Human Resources

Makes Design Thinking accessible to all, in a fast, reliable and cooperative environment.

What do you like best about the product?
Templates. Helps me a lot when starting a project. Also the number of templates being added every day. Awesome. Really helps me.
Presenting with it. The frame sidebar is a life-saver when having to present to larger groups. Wonder if I could rearrange the frames in an easier drag-n-drop way.
Having people automatically following my mouse. Sometimes, it's better to have everyone seeing what I see without sharing my screen at zoom.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using a tool, sometimes it does not go automatically to the Select Tool (V) right after using.
Makes me go click there. Feels not polished.
Pasting images, sometimes is weird, because images are pasted super small. I actually lost track of where they were pasted and pasted it again.
I know this will feel contradictory, but there are too many updates on the software shared with us when opening Miro. Feels like you're sharing too small upgrades.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using Miro, I've been able to spread the 'Design Thinking' word in a company that is not prepared for that.
It helps me sell the idea to stakeholders that cannot abstract enough in certain projects.

Then having them in a brainstorming session, in Miro, makes my life way easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think Miro is a great tool for people that already do brainstorms with an audience.
And now, in a pandemic state, we had to move to full remote. Miro is a lifesaver.

If you're considering Miro, I'd recommend taking some Brainstorm leading sessions before asking people to jump in Miro. Because it takes some time to set everything up (as does in a physical environment).
But, at the same time, I use it to create wireframes for the UX's I'm designing. It's the only platform I use these days. Does all that I need.

Great experience for start up trying to make recycling easy for everyone.

  • April 28, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I think the UI is really easy to understand as a novice experience mapper. The templates are also really helpful, if not to use as is, they give a good idea of how to start and format the project.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't yet found anything I dislike on miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a start-up recycling company, we are using miro to map out our internal processes across all divisions and to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience following mapping it out end-to-end on Miro.

A very efficient, easy and seamlessly designed white boarding tool to create the best products.

  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Instant launch, detailed templates, easy collaboration and integration. Mobile app makes it easier to add an idea even in the middle of the night. Real time collaboration help work efficiently and increases workflow productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
No downsides ideally. Just that if we had a mutiple account switching feature, it would be really helpful to manage and work more between personal and work miro accounts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating quick brainstorm boards for teams to view, edit and update instantly. One can easily share progress on idea building methods, wireframes, concepts etc. Adding media helps in comprehensively working on one single platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a one stop app, website, web app and anything simple which you can consider to help you start your ideas, build through the process, share in a jiffy and colaboratively grow!
