It helps our remote team think as if we're together.

What do you like best about the product?
It has an infinite canvas to hold our ideas, and allows a considerable amount of creativity without being held up by a lack of tools.

It lets me extend my thinking and then share it with others for their feedback and suggestions, and as a visual person it's super valuable to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the plugins a lot (icon-finder, etc) but there could be more icons, and the wireframing tool could be more extensive.

Weirdly, sometimes the text will write backwards...? Other than that, I love the app version more than the browser one, but my team is often happier in the browser version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have colossal system diagrams we have to produce, mapping technology in the commercial fishing industry. It's impossible to describe the sector verbally, and writing it doesn't work either, so we have to show it visually to discuss what we're doing as a company adequately.

We also use it for planning grant applications, and some basic wireframing.

Excellent for collaboration - especially working with remote teams.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use Miro as a fully registered user or as a guest. The interface is excellent and really intuative.

I use the iconfinder feature quite alot - previously i would use Visio for diagramming and you'd be stuck with the same icons - it's nice to add a bit of a personal touch to your work.

Another one of my favourite features to use - are the built in templates. So you can use pre-made templates to complete retrospectives, or create Lean Coffee or Kanban boards - this is probably my most used feature within Miro. There's loads of templates to choose to from which look like they've been built by Miro or the Miro community.
What do you dislike about the product?
i previously used the web based version of Miro with the Google Chrome browser. I found that this combination was a real memory hog.

In an attempt to fix this, i decded to download the desktop app for Miro. This was a real game changer as the desktop app runs smoothly and doesn't take up quite alot of my memory/cpu usage. If i find my laptop does struggle to cope - then i usually close Miro when im not actively using it or presenting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Miro before the pandemic struck - but since we're all working remotely at the minute its really easy to walk my stakeholders through process steps. I've recently started a new role and Miro has helped me convey new business ideas and processes with ease.

We've recently starting having Community days too within my team and organisation. Miro helps us collaborate when we can't be in the office together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd watch some Youtube videos if you're not sure. I attended a webinar which was hosted by Miro on how to effectively use their application and it was brilliant - i already thoguht i knew how to use it until i watched this!

Brilliant for collaborative work

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to instantly collaborate on a document at the same time as others being in different places.
The articles with updates of new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a while to be able to access Miro on my work computer (not Miro's fault) due to my work security and I had to use my own computer, making it unnecessarily complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything and everything, from project management; to journey mapping; to feedback log and Lean UX canvas.
Using the stickers and coming back to it later allows to think more about it and link the idea

Great collboration software

What do you like best about the product?
Interactivity and the way it enables non-linear thinking and collaboration in an online environment. Also, how easy it is to use to create beautiful designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Video function needs improvement. Also, the inability to do even the most basic image manipulation (such as flip) can be annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables non-linear thinking. A fantastic replacement for a whiteboard in an online environment, but also better than a whiteboard - because it's infinite

Best digital whiteboard for remote trainings and workshops

What do you like best about the product?
Since a lot of people is working from home, I needed to switch my way of working as well. Now, leading remote trainings and workshops is my daily business. What I missed the most at the beginning was the possibility to activate everybody during the training sessions. I tested several digital whiteboards and then decided to use Miro, because I'm missing not one feature and my customers are getting familiar with the tool in five minutes. It is fun and it is very professional at the time. I'm preparing my boards in advance, storing them as a template, so I can use them several times.
Miro is the reason why not only I love remote workshops but I even prefer them to classroom trainings now.
After the training, I download the board as a pdf and send it to my customers, instead of the photo protocol that was usually sent out before.

By the way - several of my customers use Miro for their daily teamwork after having worked with me on a Miro board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Believe me, in one year of using Miro, I did not find things I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Miro for participant activation, presenting slides, brainstorming, summarizing, prioritizing, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are working with several customers, it may be usefull to take the consultant plan to assure the privacy of every customer.

What do you like best about the product?
The clean interface and easy to use. I like the fact tat you can use any media on the never-ending surface.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is so many options. It would be great to add an option for a just a few tools for first-time users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making all meetings and workshops more effective. And working together with others of course.

Best tool for interdisciplinary collaboration

  • April 21, 2021

What do you like best about the product?
The ability for different teams to collab.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some minor issues working with trackpad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is the best tool our design agency has discovered so far to connect different teams for collaboration. We are using it throughout our process from brainstorming to client presention, delivering content to IT or even presenting ideas inside our team and externally. It has really simple and intuitive user interface which is easy to use. Hassle free invitations for board viewing, edition and account creation is a great feature – it allows stakeholders to seamlessly join and collaborate. We've tested Miro in multiple usages scenarios, on one occasion there was about 30 users connected to the board, working simultaneously without any glitches!

Most prominent part of our daily work that Miro has made much easier to do is participatory design. It's a process when multiple stakeholders have to particpate in workshops in real time. Talking, writing, making flowcharts, sticky-noting, etc. It has been a struggle for facilitators to work with multiple people via Keynote and conference calls, but since we've transferred to Miro, this process has been greatly improved.

For me, Miro greatest benefit is the ability to seamlessly connect different teams: strategists, designers, copywriters, programers and even engage clients to participate in the process. I am using Miro for designing flowcharts, brainstorming and copywriting, but have even tried basic sketching, successfully. It has opened new possibilities for new team working models.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to collaborate with different stakeholders, teams, departaments, etc. Miro is the best tool for it

I used Miro since it was named Realtime Board, happy with it since then.

What do you like best about the product?
When I found about the tool years ago, for me, the most crucial part was to bring and store digitally all workshops that I was conducting in a physical environment, so all those stickies that were placed all over the wall could be revisited in the future so it wasn't a matter of a fun day exploring or an ideation session, but I could use them to share the knowledge and decisions taken that day and revisit whenever was needed.

Nowadays, for me, the best is the collaborative way of working in Miro and also the fact that you can align with multiple stakeholders over the same board without being in the same room.
What do you dislike about the product?
The different projects are stored because, by default, they all go to the dashboard in an immense list. I know now you can create projects but still...

I would improve the way of importing screenshots from Figma to Miro. Sometimes annotations get mixed between the actual "Comments' functionality, and some other participants make comments directly on a sticky, which makes the communication to be held in different channels within the same tool and also normally, the comments on stickies usually are more taken into account, and the ones under the comments functionality go unnoticed
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote workshops, aligned with Developers and product teams. It helps us (UX designers) to be involved during the decision making and ideation together with the rest of the stakeholders and we sometimes create wireframes quickly at the moment of ideation so stakeholders can have more visual ideas
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Long time user, and it has done nothing but improve

What do you like best about the product?
During 1 year of usage of Miro, I always get answers to questions within 14hrs. regarding time-delay of 12 hrs. That´s very fast and reliable. All answers were kind and helped. All responses were written in a way that I understood the meaning quickly, and all explanations helped. I never experienced such great support before. Congrats!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some fuctions are totally intuitively like placing Post It´s and describe them. Some others not like different grouping nevertheless the selected objects. But there is nothing crucial. I´ts only understanding. And rarely true issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for Workshops and trainings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The best capacity and the deepest zoom. Miro offers performance more than 800% of others and is vital for my business.
