Miro is Essential for Remote Interdisciplinary Teams

  • March 22, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the flexibility of the infinite canvas in Miro. It has great templates, and I use the wireframing components a lot to quickly communicate low-fidelity design ideas to my teammates.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro isn't able to completely replace the magic of a real whiteboard experience, but it comes pretty close!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is a collaborative way for several different teams to work on building an omnichannel customer journey map. It makes it so easy to build flow charts and import all different kinds of assets in one place. It's the go-to for us in the discovery/strategy phase of each of our features.

Miro is an awesome giant whiteboard for collaborating with colleagues.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy way to clone sticky note.
I like the easy way to mark many notes.
I like the easy way to structure the sticky note.
And I also love the voting feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
In some cases it is buggy. This accurs especially, if the board has a bigger size (I mean if there are many sticky notes, files, or other things are much on the board).
Some times this also occurs if the browser session is longer, so like if you switch to hibernate mode, but the miro window is still open.

What I am missing are some additional possibilities to export data. For me the few possibilities are not enough for further working.
I would wish that I can export structured data or even better, I can access through an API (like Rest) to access data from Miro, or even much better: Miro could have webhooks to push data is a specific structure. Therefore I would love to get hierarchical structures created by frames and cards, and would also get color and labels of sticky notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing business and requirement analysis, but also internal meeting preparation:
We do user interviews (mostly explorative user research, but also collecting feedback for prototyps): therefore we are collecting, structuring and prioritising notes with miro.
We also create our wireframes with miro or at least upload our wireframes within miro, and add here further comments.
Internal ideation and brainstorming are we also with miro.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great tool with many opportunities, just try it out!
It is very easy to use, so you do not really need to be introduced.

The best tool for online workshops and coloboration.

  • March 16, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really working. Everything I can imagine I can get done with Miro. And usually there are already few helpful templates to start. Love to prototype with colleagues during online calls. I prefer to map projects or CJMs with physical stickers and then upload them to Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be more subscription options, but it's minor
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CJMs, planning of big events, workshops,... Every time when I need a whiteboard I use Miro

Collaborate on almost anything

  • March 11, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The sheer number of possibilities of what Miro can be used for and the ability to collaborate efficiently in real-time on any of them. it’s one of those tools where you are unsure how you managed without it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the output cannot be controlled visually and you are reliant on the objects in their toolset. If you are a control freak then you may not like the fact you are reliant on the shapes, fonts and colours that are pre-built into the app.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro for so many things it’s impossible to list them but here are some examples:
Design thinking workshop collaboration
Service blueprint visualisation
Documentation for wireframes and UI design
User flows, screen flows, process flows (so many flows)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You may need to reconsider how you work and allow yourself to give in to the collaborative tools here instead of relying on old individual ways of working. There are tools that do some of what is available in Miro but there are very few tools that do everyhing.
