As a Business Analyst, Miro is essential to my day-to-day working!

  • October 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Its ease of use. All the templates make it easy for me to start, and being so rich in features, when I come up with an idea there is usually something there to help facilitate my thinking - which can be very sporadic in those moments of epihony!

Recently I have been utilising the AI features to help summarise key themse on boards, which has saved me a heap of time and effort - great when my primary role in my organisation is to save people time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly struggle to find something I dislike about Miro. The only thing at my organisation is I just wish more people used it as I feel so many people could benefit from it. It would also make my life easier as an analyst, having them capture their processes in a consistent manner!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A whole host of problems but mostly it is helping me to faciltate the capturing of wireframes across the organisation in a collaborative way so everyone involved can align and discuss best practice.

Miro is a very versatile tool, you can use it to organize your own daily work or to generate collaborative spaces and create templates that help you moderate any meeting, the Miroverse is wonderful and full of ideas from people who share their solutions with others.

They are always innovating and presenting new features on the boards, they have good tutorials and guides on how to get the most out of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not necessarily on Miro, but, sometimes working with profile restrictions by the account manager is tricky but doable.

Miro In it's element

  • October 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a great software for collaboration and organising ideas. As a creative person, I love having all of my resources laid out and easy to access, and I struggled for a while to find the right software to do this online. When I came across Miro then, it was a game changer. I was able to easily see all of my images, references, ideas, and notes, as well as show other people. The ability to collaborate is top-notch and has made remote working x100 easier. I use it across all of my projects now, for both personal and work.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can take a little while to learn how to use it effectively, such as integrating all of the different plugins and building pages that truly reflect your thought process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
If I was going to create a hand-drawn diagram or mind map, I would have to upload it so others could see it. Miro allows me to do all of this online, collaborate on it and update as a project moves on. In a digital world, it's helps me keep everything in one place.

Miro's collaborative features that facilitate real-time teamwork and brainstorming. The platform's intuitive interface and diverse templates enhance productivity and creativity, making it easy to visualize ideas and organize information. Additionally, its capabilities with other tools streamline workflows, significantly improving project management and communication among team members.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro offers many valuable features, I find that its interface can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users. Additionally, the performance can lag with larger boards, which may hinder collaboration. Continuous improvements in these areas would enhance the overall user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
colloboration, being a scrum master the ease of this with hybrid working. i am old school and love post it and interaction notes but this is lost online so miro brings them elements back

A maturing product for diagramming AND collaboration

  • October 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about miro is the collaboration aspect, being able to work on a number of boards / processes / diagrams on a daily basis and see who else is working on it is great.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the more technical diagramming had some integration with git or similar, that might be super useful for publishing just part of a miro board (for now other diagrams tools are used to cover this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the collaboration is excellent for working different people remotely or locally, helps to have good workshop meetings.
the diagramming is great for drafting up new solutions or identifying issues in existing ones.

Best portal to create design diagrams and many more.

  • October 04, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
its intuitive menu to access tools to create your diagram.
easy availability of various types of diagrams like mind maps etc.
wide range of templates.
What do you dislike about the product?
it's not very easy to access the list of documents that you own. the current UI makes your documents lost with other noise when you quickly want to access it. in my view, a text-based list of your customer documents will reduce the noise around it and will make it clearer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
"Design diagrams, schedule timelines, wokring devision, work breakdown, collaboration with other teams, helping the hybrid working model."

working as a tech lead, you need to carv out lot of designs that requires you to lay them down on the paper. a tool like miro board makes it easy and intuitive. existing template give you a kick start and a base that you can build upon.
templates like mind-maps are and other block diagrams are the one that i used the most.

Aesthetically pleasing, richly featured, and extremely usable.

  • October 03, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to build exactly what you want into your activities and sessions. I honestly rarely use the templates because it's so fun and simple to create the environment and aesthetic I'm thinking of. I use Miro for all of our remote team's brainstorming -- at least once a week! -- and love the expanse of the boards. We have a "Team Playground" board where we have all our activities, solutioning, and planning in one space, and it's super helpful to be able to pull over related content in the middle of a session. I even use Miro in my personal life to help organize my thoughts and thinking. Love Miro!
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the controls aren't quite intuitive, although most of the time people get the hang of it quickly enough. I could nitpick and say I wish there were more customization options for how you create text boxes, for example (being able to italicize words in stickies; have different margins/font sizes, etc), but ultimately it's not a big concern for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us easily collaborate as a team -- we can see one another's contributions in real time, actively organize our ideas, keep track of the chaos, and bring things together at the end. It allows a remote team to function very similarly to an in-person one.
