Great for remote group work and teaching

  • December 02, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I discovered Miro after the Covid19 pandemic started and I loved the intuitive design and the support it provides for joint remote work. I used it within my teaching and in meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it should be more affordable than the current pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communicating and doing exercises which we would normally do in a room (e.g. brainstorming, collecting different opinions) in the remote teaching and work mode.

A perfect remote collaboration tool for a globally distributed team for 150+ members

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of access, guest editor access and miro provided 'How to use Miro' guides makes it usage hassle free for all types of users. Its integration with ALM tools, slack and visual notes makes it a one- shop stop for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro grids and charts need to be made more intelligent. Example - Would love to have the pie-chart getting updated with the output from a Jira query.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are doing a Big room planning (called as Program Increment Planning meeting in the Scaled Agile context) with team members spread across Canada, Europe UK, SA, India, Australia and Japan. Miro provides us the platform to setup our planning board and team boards for the team members to brainstorm and collaborate on the user stories. Its integration with Jira gets us the the right information flowing in as inputs to the teams. We use it extensively for our trainings and problem solving workshops. The 'bring everyone to me' , timer and voting features are a great help while facilitating such workshops around a big miro board.

Lovely visual project management/collaboration tool

  • December 02, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
The visual appeal. The colors. The super flexibility that Miro gives. Easy access. Easy to share with others. The template library. The fact that Miro frequently rolls out updates and new features. Miro has free plan. Miro works with other well-known project management tool. I love using Miro for note taking.
What do you dislike about the product?
I guess I tend to use a lot of sticky notes on my Miro board and it's kind of a pain to jump between them: I have to move from the keyboard to the mouse to do it. I wish I can work with sticky notes (add new sticky notes, switch to the note next to the current ones, organise the ntoes) using keyboard only.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am navigating my sea of tasks with Miro. Miro helps me organise them better, prioritise them, and inspire me. I'm a visual person so Miro's visual appeal helps a lot.
Also, Miro's Library template is very handy for me and my team to implement new workspace and processes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try for its flexibility and visual appeal.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides us a clear communication platform and also allows us to present our idea easily with diagrams and illustrations to our clients and project stakeholders.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend for those who wanted to build their mindmaps or diagram when time is the major constraint.

The infinite size of the board and that you can invite people without the need for them to create / own accounts.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be pretty heavy on the computers when you have many boards open.
The organisation of all your boards is a bit basic, would like it to be more folder structure like

Miro for remote collaboration

  • December 01, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
100% synchronous, real-time collaboration
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve for bespoke menu/tool bars
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our organization, Miro has served as a great tool for virtual representation of physical paper artifacts related to quarterly planning events which are typically conducted in person. In the current climate of inability to travel and convene in person, Miro is central to our seamless execution of these events virtually. With these planning events being unexpectedly executed as effectively as they have been, we intend to continue to work through them remotely, saving significantly on travel expenses compared to before.

A User Experience Designer Dream!

  • December 01, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has given me the opportunity to introduce and organize UX discovery and ideation, visually and easily, to my immediate and cross functional team members. Essentially, taking a step back and viewing each project holistically and isolating the appropriate deliverables on a timeless whiteboard. Our team is slowly moving to online collaborative tools to increase our collective productivity. I was very excited to see both an Adobe XD and Figma plugin. This is a great way to include UI designers to the whiteboard and increase iterative collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still getting used to the quadrant vectors (connecting arrow) on each new board item, as it often gets in the way of productivity because I accidentally click it ALL THE TIME. Also, I would like to have access to all template libraries, not just for my UX Designer role.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving for remote collaboration by increasing the share outs and elevating project deliverables visually. I have been more open to sharing every stage of the discovery and ideation since it is readily viewed and accessible. Great way to include everyone before assigning to the next development stage. I also use MIRO for project documentation and organization. Overall, this is a great "all in one" visually crafted product development tool that is easy to pick up since it functions like any design app.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I can only attest to using Miro as a user experience designer, however, this is a powerful tool. I'm still learning after just a few months since purchase. Take advantage of the free version, join webinars, and learn from miroverse!

Great distributed workshops with intuitive and user-friendly interface (even for beginners)

  • December 01, 2020
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
First of all, the possibility for workshop participants without registering at Miro is great. Very good is the function to protect each board with a password. The simultaneous creative work makes the workshops productive and valuable. The preparation for an appointment is easy, fast with storable templates and very well facilitated. The functions to hide frames at the beginning as well as to bring participants on the board to my area is really good.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my point of view you already get more than all necessary features for my purposes. So I can't think of anything serious that I miss or that doesn't work at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributed Workshops; Brain storming sessions; all Scrum related events like Planning, Refinement, Retrospectives and Dailies; internal Meetings
