As a Product Owner, Miro is great!

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is an excellent tool as a Product Owner because it allows me to freely and easily create User workflows and roadmaps while also helping me collaborate with the stakeholders and dev teams. I enjoy Miro's extensive library of templates, and even if I choose a template incorrectly for the topic or use, you can make it blank; that is a great starting point for any whiteboarding session.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, Miro has been a great tool; I wish I could include my personal music collection during the collaboration timer or voting sessions or maybe have a more extensive selection provided. Other than that, super helpful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps solve remote collaboration concerns, easy whiteboarding & mapping, sharing ideas and more. It is beneficial for cross-timezone offline collaboration.

Great for white-boarding and planning work

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use: very intuitive, the shapes aren't glitchy like other companies, open easy but also has templates that get's things kicked off - one of the better tools i've used to make flow charts and business process models
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes when going below superficial details there are glitches - tables could be easier to use - grouping or cunking pieces could be easier (hard to edit when in a frame without selecting the frame)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
get ideas out quickly in a common place and then reformat the mind map into refined concepts and requirements - I do this in different sets of groups so having it all in one place makes it easier to be collaborative

Excellent digital collaboration tool!

What do you like best about the product?
There's a lot to like about Miro, from the robust live whiteboarding capabilities, the huge variety of pre-configured templates for different use-cases, to the assortment of 3rd party app integrations for things like Azure DevOps. I've found Miro to be easy to learn for new users but tricky to master since it just has so many capabilities. Overall, Miro has been an incredibly useful tool that has enabled seamless and effective collaboration in this new remote-working world. Miro gets a A+ from our org!
What do you dislike about the product?
While the functionality is fantastic, the administrative portion of the Miro interface could certainly use some work. There are aspects of managing/administering the various Teams and Boards in the Enterprise model that aren't intuitive. Navigating and understanding the administration UI is painful; it's a serious weak spot in the platform though, in my opinion, it is the only weak spot.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro enables seamless and effective live collaboration for our remote teammates scattered across the country. It is difficult to imagine our org collaborating effectively in this remote-first world without a robust platform like Miro.

Virtual & Visual Collaboration Made Easy

  • March 22, 2023

What do you like best about the product?
As someone who works remotely with a lot of designers, I have been using Miro for quite some time now, and I must say, I am impressed by its features. Here are some of the things that I absolutely love about this online platform:

Intuitively Collaborative: Miro is an excellent platform for collaborative whiteboarding. It provides a seamless way for team members to brainstorm and collaborate on ideas, even if they are not in the same location. The interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for everyone to contribute to the board, even at the same time.

Extensive Template Library: Miro's template library is a real game-changer. It offers a wide range of pre-built templates for different use cases, from project management to design thinking. This feature saves me a lot of time and effort as I don't have to start from scratch every time I create a new board.

Overall, Miro has been a game-changer for my workflow. Its collaborative features, extensive template library, real-time collaboration, as well as integration with other tools, and mobile app make it an indispensable tool for anyone who needs to remotely work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are certainly many features that I love about Miro, there are also a few areas that could be improved. Here are some of the features that I think could be better:

Steep Learning Curve: While the Miro interface is generally user-friendly, there is still a bit of a learning curve when it comes to using all of the platform's features. It can take some time to get used to the various tools and functions, which can be a bit overwhelming for new users, especially as we try to get clients to participate during workshops.

Limited Export Options: While Miro allows users to export their boards as PDFs, PNGs, or CSV files, there are limited export options beyond this. For example, it would be great if Miro offered export options that were more compatible with other software programs, like Adobe Creative Suite or Microsoft Office.

Limited Import Options: Also it is difficult for me to import large Powerpoints or PDFs and I find myself having to copy slides over one-by-one, which is very inefficient. It's also difficult to upload a non-YouTube video to the board.

Overall, while there are a few features of Miro that I think could be improved, I still find it to be a highly valuable tool for collaboration and ideation. The platform's strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, and I would still highly recommend it to other users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enhanced Collaboration: Branding agencies like mine often work with dispersed teams, including designers, strategists, and clients. Miro provides an excellent platform for teams to collaborate in real-time, brainstorm ideas, and iterate on designs.

Improved Communication: With Miro, we can communicate complex ideas and concepts in a visual way whether it's the narrative of the deck or a moodboard. This makes it easier for team members to understand and communicate their ideas effectively.

Enhanced Creativity: Miro's platform allows strategists at branding agencies, like me, to tap into their creativity and generate new ideas. The platform's visual collaboration tools and templates inspire new ways of thinking and helps my team come up with innovative solutions. We're able to store all our inspiration and examples in one place and reference it later to jumpstart our creativity.

Excellent collaboration tool, some improvements needed…

What do you like best about the product?
The remote collaboration functionalities and existing templates that save a good deal of time (and avoid "creator's block").
I also like the ease of share of the consultant plan
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding and enablement to use Miro to its full potential takes time and some habit change.
It's also difficult to "convert" some of the content into boards/frames and vice versa (eg integration with Office365 apps)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Strategy, team formation, transformation and change management action plans.
It id aldo good for joint problem solving, capturing simultaneous feedback/ideas in real time quite quickly, hence producing alignment, cost savings and efficiency gains

Very intuitive and visual tool

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro helps remote teams digest and analyze research results, for instance through affinity diagrams. It's very intuitive to use, with its drag-and-drop functionality, and has a lot of useful templates, built by Miro but also from its huge community. This makes Miro a very versatile tool: aside from research data analysis, it's also a good tool to prepare and run workshops, brainstorm and do some team-building games!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are little downsides of using Miro. The most significant one from my experience is scalability: once you get a huge volume of data (e.g., from interviews or other research activities) it gets really hard to navigate and find what you need.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since we work remotely, Miro is a key tool for us to analyze research data, but also share it with stakeholders. Without Miro, this would be extremely hard. Also, it's a very practical tool to brainstorm, even with oneself.
It is also useful and very practical for us to do affinity diagrams of huge amounts of qualitative data.
