Miro grows with your needs

What do you like best about the product?
Beside Miro is very easy to use and my students geht fast to the stuff they need to learn, Miro is not hindering them in technical sense. It is intuitive. In my classes I can invite as many students as I wish. Cool user usage model.
Since I use Miro I was contactet several times and they asked my what I would like to see in the next release.
And.. I find new helpfull stuff each release. For this I love the Product and the Team behind it!
What do you dislike about the product?
There i nothing I dislike so far. Just feels like a Honeymoon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a canvas i can provide a training and learning enviroment for my students. they can leadn and share ideas togehter in a cooperative way. it is open to other data sources and i can connect to jira and other tools.
i can design trainings rooms for each client and i can protect the content.

An excellent solution for remote-based teams

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has allowed our marketing team to continue to remain on track to meet program deadlines. Our creative projects and related deliverables have not been affected by the Covid19 transition to 100% remote. Even with our external affiliates, Miro's sharable boards have enabled us to gain feedback and approvals easily without the hassle of additional client meetings, presentations, or calls. We were previously with AWW board for the virtual whiteboard, it's very useful to be able to distinguish the cursors of each of our collaborators. This eliminates the possibility of overwriting other team members' work or duplicating efforts. Miro has allowed the time and effort to reduce significantly compared to earlier this year when we were adjusting to working apart and using other products. It is much easier to consolidate many apps into one and use Miro for our project collaboration, whiteboard, and the ability to bring in guest editors.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our team doesn't have much in the way of complaints about Miro. Sometimes when our projects charts get on the larger side and require chart integration from other platforms, this presents a challenge and a couple of instances of lagging but nothing that we can't work through with a little effort. All in all, we love Miro! Some of our external guests have mentioned that they felt the onboarding experience could be slightly improved to include fewer clicks but have been complimentary of the ability to use Miro with minimal to no prior experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating new patron programs and processes through group collaboration internally and with our client partners to adjust to the quarantine period conditions. This has allowed for the possibility of new revenue-generating ideas to help with reductions in our budget allowances. The ability to see our team work together in real-time has been very useful as we converted our registration process to another software program. Through mapping our current UX in comparison to alternative possibilities we were able to navigate towards the most useful option and quickly transition to the new software program.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To those considering a collaborative whiteboard for midsized teams, we have been enjoying this app tremendously. For reference, our team is roughly 12 plus firm two to four firm affiliates per project. The ability to work with each other in real-time without interruption has been key to keeping our projects running on time and on budget. It's easy to share boards with a variety of different flows and notes and get critical feedback in no time. The app is rather intuitive and does not require training for most users. Our firm project managers we up to speed almost immediately. We highly recommend Miro as your remote-based team solution for those needing to create a user experience transition or collaboration for clients.

Miro has changed the way we work in my product team

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use of Miro. We use Miro for online workshops during quarantine and forced work from home situations and onboarding of other people is always instant, It is also really good to see how quickly MIro gets meaningful updates that are very much reflective of what me and my colleagues feel like should have been adressed. The absolute game changer is the feature to invite non-members to a board which has proven crucial for big UX/CX workshops that we had to abruptly move to online. I feel very confident that we will keep using Miro way after the whole covid crisis ends - it has just became embeded in our workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are only few things, such us a bit confusing team management - it has happened to us, that one of my colleagues invited another member of our company and without any warning our subsrcibtion was upgraded to higher version. There is an option to change this behavior but it is off by default. We have also found ocasional problems with Safari browser, but they've been usually figured out very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro to upgrade our workflow in my product/ux department all the time, a lot of my colleagues are visual thinkers so Miro was incredibly helpful to help us cooperate even if we are all stranded in our own homes. Miro is so useful also for quick outline of ideas or even quick wireframing. As our country went to lockdown and my company was forced to start limit the amount of customers in stores - we used Miro to coordinate development of an app to help us with such thing and we were able to deploy it within 4 days.

A great and flexible tool for teams with little or lots of experience with being distributed

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can sketch the basics of a project management board or resource tool and that the designer on our team can update it to make it engaging, fun and playful--Miro offers a great blend of "art & science" for our team. For example, we use the voting tool, frames and embedded links to create a self-guided coaching resource that feels almost like a board game into Miro that follows a retro 80s theme--we even included a YouTube link to play 80s music while you use the tool. In this era of being online so much, there are lots of ways to make engaging in our tools through Miro more fun and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We work with a lot of groups so I wish there was an easier way to do polls other than voting. I wish there was a poll feature tied to the chart and graph feature. I'd love to be able to have interactive button that populate a table with integers and then update a graph. I also wish there was an easier way to share templates of Miro boards with those outside our team. Perhaps this is a pay wall issue, but it would actually help us get Miro into more people's hands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Google docs are prolific in our organization, but they assume a linear process flow and are limited in terms of expressing holistic concepts as well as creativity. We get feedback from our users that when we advertise new features via Instagram, going to Google Docs to use a coaching tool feels like a sharp right turn. Through Miro, I'm able to embed all the resources that I would in a Google doc like links to websites, PDFs and other tools but I'm able to express the coaching journey as a journey. Also, feedback through post-it notes and other features make interacting with our tools much easier.

Very intuitive to use with advanced integrations

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a great real-time collaborative UI for distributed whiteboarding. It has one comprehensive whiteboard for various types of documents being shared and worked on by the team.
Pre-built templates rather than starting out from scratch. Just import the templates and you have placeholder items which you can edit and get the board up and running extremely quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with JIRA should have been free to allow JIRA board imported into Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time dynamic collaboration. All Project, Agile, and Developer tasks dynamic views in one place.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most about Miro is the fact it is cloud-based and has many templates for many types of boards.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike about Miro is the drawing tools—they are improving, however.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Miro in our software research, design and engineering teams has been immensely valuable to conduct everyday work and collaboration. Without it we'd be stuck using a few different inadequate tools. Some co-worker here swear by it and would lose their minds if they didn't have it. :-)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For those considering Miro I'd only have to say to don't think you'll be able to replace a drawing tool (AI, Sketch, etc.) with it. With that said, the tools for wireframing and drawing are improving. Otherwise, Miro has been an indispensable tool for our teams.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how it's a platform where group works can be done easily on, especially during these tough times due to the pandemic. The features that are on Miro are very helpful, such as being able to create maps and graphs that help with brainstorming, as well as the post it notes that can allow for quick ideas to be jotted down. I also personally like the feature that shows any changes that have been done on Miro when i log on again. This helps me keep track of who has done what. Additionally, Miro is a very broad platform which means not can I only use it for my studio classes but I can also use it for my management classes. Overall, I would very likely recommend it to anyone and everyone.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes take longer than usual to load the page.
One aspect that can be improved is being able to download a board as I like using my work throughout my presentations, and when I screenshot my work off Miro the quality gets distorted and is not as clear as i would like it to be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a design management student, doing online courses hasn't been the smoothest. Miro has been an extremely beneficial platform for my studio classes.
Miro has enabled me and many other students in my field to get more creative and involved in group projects. I have used it almost everyday since I started using it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would advise people to utilize every feature that Miro offers.

Self explanatory, easy to use collaboration tool

What do you like best about the product?
Miro's proven to be a flexible tool to be used for multi-purpose collaborations, concept meetings, private annotations, brainstorming workshops.
They keep introducing small incremental updates, thereby extending the feature set with useful improvements to their product, while keeping the user experience stable (so no annoying moments where you need to look for everything you thought you knew if you haven't used the tool for a while...). I really liked for example the 'meeting-style screensharing functionality to draw the focus to what's relevant and the option to hide and reveal content on the appropriate time.
The real time collaboration with no delay or sync issues is really a game changer, no need to wait for the input of your colleagues or clients to appear, as is often the case with other collaboration tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I personally stick to the browser version so can't judge for real, but I do hear some colleagues struggling with the desktop version, it seems to be slower in starting up or accessing a certain canvas compared navigating to your canvas in the browser version.
A point for improvement (and I hope the Miro developers get to read this) is the switch between the navigation mode versus the edit or select mode. It's easy to overlook what mode your in and thus some user might accidentally drag or move components or entire frames out of the way, causing some disturbance in the collaboration session.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to quickly capture the essence of a discussion/idea/concept without much preparation. We're doing content workshops, retrospectives, partner evaluation, process reviews, all using the same simple toolset.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just give it a try, you'll find out quick enough if it's what you need. no harm done in trying.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and lack of complexity. They providing you with only the needed instruments. You don't think about the interface and just work!
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro on IPad version could be better. I often make unintended things with Apple Pencil. Company, Group, personal files could be structured better. I find it hard to locate some of my documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transporting ideations into digital form. Miro is the fastest way to make a mockup of a user flow. Everything needs a draft version first

Go for it if you need something for collaborative ideation.
