Cool tool, but forced expensive subscription (board becomes locked.)

  • August 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
nice little tool to brainstorm stuff or share a team org for example.
What do you dislike about the product?
At some point, we suddently "exceeded the free feature limits". So our board became frozen, impossible to edit, export, or even copy text from. Impossible to delete other boards that we weren't using anymore, or remove access from former users. The only way to export content was csv (PDF export is "available" but anything in small characters will not be readabe).
Upgrade is pricey at $8 per user per month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It was a convenient and casual org chart board where people could maintain their own records, talk about their hobbies etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is a fantastic tool for collaborative work and brainstorming! I appreciate its versatility and the way it supports creativity. Its infinite canvas allows for free-form thinking, and the range of templates and widgets helps structure ideas efficiently. The real-time collaboration features make it easy for teams to work together, no matter where they are. Plus, the ability to integrate with other tools and platforms enhances its usefulness in various workflows
What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro is a powerful tool, there are a few areas that I find challenging:

Complexity for New Users: Miro’s extensive features and tools can be overwhelming for beginners. It might take some time to get used to all the options and functionalities.

Performance Issues: For larger boards with lots of content, Miro can sometimes experience slowdowns, especially if the internet connection isn't optimal.

Cost: While there's a free version, some of the more advanced features are only available in the paid plans, which might be a barrier for smaller teams or individuals.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro addresses several key challenges related to collaboration and brainstorming, which can significantly enhance productivity and creativity. Here’s how it solves these problems and benefits me

Collaboration in Real-Time:This is particularly beneficial for remote teams, enabling seamless brainstorming sessions and planning without geographical constraints. Visual Organization, Flexible Workflows, Centralized Information, Enhanced Creativity and Integration with Other Tools

Miro is your new Bestfriend

  • August 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. They offer a free plan to create 3 boards. And the good thing is, you can create a lot of content on just one board.
2. Easy collaboration. I can just send the link to my team member and we can create things inside the Miro board in real time.
3. User-friendly and packed with hundreds of free templates to use. I can simply drag and drop, copy and paste elements. They have shapes, colors, pens, and even notes! I can even edit the images I uploaded/pasted.

Miro is really a big help when we were redesigning our websites and starting out with a new product. We use Miro to create wireframes of the pages and add notes for iterations. And then to the plan out the new product, we just simply placed all out ideas and make it our playground. Really good!
What do you dislike about the product?
Only have one downside for me, and this is because I am on a free plan.
If I share only one board with a member, they can still access the other boards under my account.

However, if you'd like to share that specific board exclusively, you have to upgrade to a paid plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Helped in planning out our new product. We were able to collaborate with people from different department - design and writing departments.
2. Helped in creating wireframes for our websites and we have 3 websites we have to redesign so Miro was really a big help.

Super easy and user friendly So that is great for mapping customer journeys and identifying pain points. I'm excited to use the new AI features that have just been released.

Currently, I find it tricky to maintain timelines on Miro (Lots of things to adjust one by one).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a great space where everyone can share their thoughts live even when we're working remotely. It gives you the space to build out thinking and ideas.

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is my go-to for brainstorming, workplanning, workshopping, journey mapping... the list goes on. I wouldn't be able to do collaborative, asynchronous work without it's latest talk track feature either - it's been amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be helpful if I could somehow link it to data that comes from Looker dashboards internally
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with distribute, remote teams and visualizing complex data in an easy, digestible format

Miro helps my team collaborate quickly

  • August 15, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is easy to use! My team uses it everyday and it is so helpful for our collaboration. It has become a staple for our team in almost every project. Customer support is always available whenever we have issues with quick responses and fixes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once boards start to get too full, they become almost unusable. We start new boards when that happens but it would be helpful if there was a way to not overload them or maybe there could be a limit of memery that can be used per board?
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives our team a place to share ideas and concpets in a way that allows us to work on different projects at different times.
