Intuitive and a delight to use
What do you like best about the product?
Diagramming has become a breeze, almost compelling you to refine your design further. After dedicating numerous hours to Miro, it feels like a natural extension of my thought process and mouse. The sharing functionality is executed perfectly, offering simplicity and adaptability to meet various requirements. Branding and built in styles offer color choices to fit any project.
What do you dislike about the product?
Transitioning from Figma (Figjams) to Miro feels incomplete. The capacity to customize settings is underdeveloped and not accessible to the user. While Miro is user-friendly enough for basic use, power users likely seek greater customization options. Additionally, a dark mode would be helpful during late-night sessions.

The best-in-class collaboration app for interactive, visual collaboration at work
What do you like best about the product?
The interactive, visual collabration between collagues at work. The visual elements for illustration and graphical design are really good. The interactive actions and parallel edits from colleagues give the impression as if we were in the same room and were working on the same whiteboard together. Really cool in the post-corona hybrid work environments. We use it every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Locking and the z-index of elements are sometimes problematic. If a colleague forgets to lock the "base elements" then during the interactive work it get accidentally moved which confuses the other colleagues.
Having the locking and also the z-axis of elements (which one is in the front and which is in the back) more visible and quicker to set could make this every day hiccup easier to avoid/fix.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working in a hybrid work environment, where most of the colleagues are working from home and only some of them are in the office. We use Miro every time we need an interactive whiteboard to collect ideas, inform and align the team, identify and resolve conflicts, and to refine processes and features. We use it for sprint planning, review, retro, and for feature refinement.

A leader in the collaborative workspace tool
What do you like best about the product?
At work due to the nature of business, I frequently collaborate with teams across different locations. Miro is a great tool that helps us collaborate and work together. Using Miro as a tool for brainstorming and design thinking has almost eliminated the need for a physical whiteboard. Miro helps me in facilitating both synchronous and asynchronous collaboration.
Miro has been continuously adding new features. Miro has recently included the option of technical diagrams which has broadened its usage across engineering and technology teams. In collaboration sessions, we use timer functionality and background music which provides the option to focus time even while working together.
Miro has been the go-to tool for sharing ideas for prototyping and gathering feedback effectively with internal, and external stakeholders. This flexibility in using the tool to integrate the client team into the process ensures that timely feedback is gathered from everybody involved.

What do you dislike about the product?
One specific issue I often struggle with is the text formatting within shapes in Miro. The sizing of font and shape is tied together which creates an annoying experience at times. The font size should be separate from the Shape size. Additionally, there is a lack of uniformity in formatting options across different shapes. Some shape provides the option to have bulleted content and some do not.
Some of the recent changes have made the platform slow. The search for a shape has been slow in the last few weeks.
The introduction of the AI feature was great, but it provides very basic functionality. Quite often it doesn't perform as expected.
One more feature which does not work quite well is versioning, especially when collaborating with multiple people simultaneously. Tracking changes and reverting to previous versions is challenging in these scenarios.

The drag-and-drop interface, coupled with a wide range of customizable templates and shapes, means that I can rapidly sketch out my ideas and iterate on them without any hassle. This speed and ease of use are crucial in brainstorming sessions and project planning, allowing me to capture and refine ideas on the fly.
Furthermore, Miro's real-time collaboration feature enhances this visual thinking process by enabling team members to contribute simultaneously. We can build on each other's ideas, provide immediate feedback, and make adjustments in real-time, which significantly accelerates our workflow and enhances our creative output.

What do you dislike about the product?
While Miro is an incredibly powerful and versatile tool, there are a few areas where I find myself facing challenges. One of the main issues I encounter is accidentally moving other elements when I'm trying to adjust my drawings and charts. This often leads to spending extra time rearranging components, which can be frustrating and disrupts the flow of my work.
Another challenge is the text resizing feature. Sometimes, I find it difficult to adjust the text size to my desired level, which can result in a less-than-perfect presentation. The inability to precisely control text dimensions can affect the overall visual appeal and clarity of my boards.
Additionally, selecting, grouping, and modifying multiple elements can be cumbersome. I often struggle with selecting the right components and applying changes efficiently. This can be particularly time-consuming when working with complex boards that have numerous elements.

One of the main issues it addresses is the ability to easily and effectively express my ideas. With Miro's versatile tools, I can quickly create visual representations of complex concepts, making it easier to communicate my thoughts clearly and concisely.
This capability greatly improves my interactions with my team and managers. By being able to visually present my ideas, I ensure that everyone is on the same page, which enhances understanding and alignment. The clarity and professionalism of my visual presentations mean that during meetings, simply sharing my Miro screen is often sufficient to convey my points effectively.
