The Swiss Army Knife of the Web

What do you like best about the product?
MIRO is just a fantastic tool. I started using it as a planning tool, and now I use it daily for personal and work use. Pretty much anything with a URL can be added to a board, so you constantly have updated information at your fingertips. Collaborative documents, like Google Docs and MS Files, can be directly embedded in the board so you can edit them right in place, which is excellent if you are working with many files.
I teach at the Graduate level, and now it is the only presentation software I use. Slide decks and supplemental materials you might use during a session can be spread across the canvas. I set up shared boards for my student's work, and they act as almost portfolios with all their work for that class in one spot. It is so much easier than dealing with individual files.
The number of integrations seems to keep growing, and now they have added the start of some pretty cool AI features, which I have yet to explore.
I haven't had to contact customer support because I have never had a problem with one of the boards.
Most of the students I work with do not have much experience with tech tools. So far, MIRO hasn't confounded anyone, and I do not have to spend much time orienting students to its use. They create an account, and off they go. Most report using it in their practice after they finish the course. I would give MIRO both thumbs up for ease of implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
Navigating around a giant board can be tricky but well worth the effort. The solution, I guess, is just more intelligent planning of what you want the board to do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MIRO has helped me manage files, keep track of student progress, facilitate synchronous class sessions, and the list goes on. I can't wait to find out which problem MIRO will solve for me next. Exciting.

Versatile and practical when working a large team

What do you like best about the product?
We use Miro for workshops, designing high level solutions, collaborating and visualising problems to think through. For the past 3 years i have basically lived in Miro at work, so its a important part of my day. We often use it for taking notes in user testing and also get the user to interact with concepts through Miro. It is also easy to use and colleagues find their way around it fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the AI features to be improved so it can help map out sitemaps and speed up the process of filtering through user testing data in post-it notes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes collaboration so much easier! My team are often spread across the country and have a "whiteboard" we can all work from is excellent. Visualising what im thinking through Miro is critical and sometimes we even wireframe in it. Like is said I live in Miro

Daily user who requires some finishing touches

  • June 12, 2024

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro daily as this is our primary tool within our Customer Experience team. I appreciate the variety and breadth of tools and templates that it provides and love the new AI features, especially summarising all of my post-it notes.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a Figma user, I do find some of the functionality easier to use in Figjam as the UI is simpler and I can be more efficient. One of my biggest pain points, is one of the simpler, which is not being able to adjust the line height of the text which just makes our presentation work not look as finished. I also find, using Miro hasn't been overly user friendly when I bring in clients and customers who aren't so tech savvy. Just making simple post it notes is a little challenging. It is also becomes super slow to use when the boards get filled with content.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Disorganised Project Management. We work on very large scale projects and Miro allows us to collate and organise information clearly, especially for those who come onto the project later and need a recap.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use miro as a tool to assist in collab while working remotely and on larger scale projects that require POC and MVP displays.
What do you dislike about the product?
The zoom in and out function on mac - could do with a lower intensity speed or at least not having to use the trackpad.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Project POC and MVP displays while working remotely with teams.

Couldn't work without it now

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Powerful collaboration tool, it doesn't crash like others I have used when facilitating workshops with groups of people. Very easy to use for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a designer I'd love some features to support a shared library of brand assets. The ability to change the colour of imported svgs and ability to mirror/flip images would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy remote collaboration. The timer and voting features help with effective facilitation.

I also use Miro for visual mapping, diagramming and wireframing during the discovery and conceptual phases of design.

Everything you need all in one place

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows me to combine a multitude of data of varying forms in one place. The sticky note feature helps me sort through large amounts of qualitative research. Very easy to work together on projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
- Can't export merged images
- No feature that allows me to make sticky notes the same size as a custom sticky
- Text features are still quite glitchy
- No feature to copy column/row height or width
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborating with staff that are working from home more than others. Any work we need to share can either be access by other staff members or easily screenshared over Teams

What do you like best about the product?
Miro allows me to present digital sprints and too design experiences. I used it to teach, to share information with my team members, to create slick presentations.... and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish for more ways to create independent pages with domain names... but other than that wishful thinking, for what the platform proposes to offer, it is perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
easy to create digitally beautiful customer journeys

A dream for remote workers

  • June 11, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have no artistic ability at all but Miro helps me present my ideas quickly and visually and gain consensus on difficult ideas. It has been a game changer for my remote job and a tool I've started to use in my personal life as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro has a bit of a learning curve for people who are little more hands off and less visual.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is such an incredible tool when it comes to reaching consensus. We can gain insights from our entire remote team quickly and use the tool to clearly present and vote on important decisions in the meeting or just collect a ton of important information that needs to be synthesized and analyzed later.
