Great for collaboration and workshops, but needs structure

  • January 28, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Miro is how flexible it is for collaboration and brainstorming. It’s great for workshops, ideation sessions, and mapping out flows or processes with multiple people at the same time. The infinite canvas makes it easy to think visually without constraints, and features like sticky notes, templates, and comments make collaboration feel lightweight and intuitive. It works especially well for cross-functional teams where not everyone is a designer.
What do you dislike about the product?
As boards grow, they can quickly become cluttered and hard to navigate. Performance can slow down with large or long-running boards, and it takes discipline to keep things organized. Some design-related tasks feel limited compared to more specialized tools, and moving from a messy brainstorming board to something more structured often requires cleanup or exporting work elsewhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the problem of remote and cross-functional collaboration by giving teams a shared visual space to think together. Instead of long meetings or scattered docs, it allows ideas, feedback, and decisions to live in one place. For me, the biggest benefit is alignment. It helps teams get on the same page quickly, especially during early discovery, workshops, or planning sessions.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves the challenge of remote and cross-team collaboration by providing a shared visual workspace. It allows ideas, plans, and feedback to live in one place. This improves alignment, creativity, and decision-making.

Intuitive Whiteboard for Collaboration, Flowcharts, and Mockups

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s great for cross-collaboration and creating flowcharts. It’s also very good for building basic designs and mockups. Small to large teams can use Miro boards to run meetings and brainstorm easily, thanks to its intuitive, whiteboard-like features.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of diagramming shapes, icons, and other elements are hidden behind a paywall. Also, many competitors, like Figma, offer a wide range of plugins, which Miro currently lacks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is solving the problem of visually representing ideas and concepts, making it easier to storyboard and mind-map the things you want to communicate to your audiences clearly. For example, I often need to create diagrams that support my research proposal, and I sometimes collaborate with my research peers to help them build flowcharts and prototypes that they can use to explain methods in research papers and presentations.

Miro Makes Real-Time Collaboration Effortless with a Flexible Infinite Canvas

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Miro is how effortlessly it brings people together. The real-time collaboration feels smooth and intuitive, whether the team is brainstorming, planning sprints, or mapping out complex ideas. The infinite canvas, templates, and integrations with tools like Jira, Slack, and Google Drive make it incredibly flexible. It adapts well to different workflows, from product discovery to retrospectives, without feeling cluttered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very large boards can sometimes feel heavy specially when there are lots of images or widgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For our product development team, Miro solves the challenge of aligning distributed teams, collaboration and turning abstract ideas into something visual and actionable. It replaces our emails, documents, and endless meetings with a shared space where everyone can contribute at the same time. This has improved collaboration, sped up design decision-making, and made workshops and planning sessions far more engaging and productive especially in our hybrid work environments.

Facilitates Creative Collaboration, Needs Learning Time

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am using Miro for quality improvement coaching. I like that it supports brainstorming and makes collaboration on QI tools easy. I appreciate the freedom to create our own templates and tools, treating it like a virtual canvas or whiteboard. On Miro, we can capture all ideas, assumptions, and different perspectives through conversations in creative ways. We use tools like root cause analysis, drivers' diagram, process maps, and affinity diagrams, and it is most helpful in clustering ideas and conversations to use them productively. I love the sticky notes feature, which allows all team members to express their ideas and views, and contribute to the project, keeping the momentum going between meetings and making meetings easy. It’s a great way to document ideas and conversations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not everyone is comfortable learning Miro; it takes time to get used to it. It also needs strong facilitation sometimes; otherwise, boards get messy. It doesn't analyze data or provide data insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for quality improvement coaching. It supports brainstorming and easy collaboration on QI tools. I can capture ideas creatively and use sticky notes for team contributions, making meetings productive and maintaining momentum.

Intuitive and Collaborative Platform with Room for Template Improvement

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro to collaborate with my team, organizing weekly ideas for creative ads at our remote company. It helps me a lot to visualize ideas and organize content more efficiently by uploading video/images and linking to different sources. I find the interface very nice, intuitive, and easy to use. I use their AI features a lot to check grammar or summarize ideas. I also connect Miro with Drive, and it works well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love if they offer more easy to use templates for specific projects. They're not that easy to understand at first, so if they have a more intuitive guide with each template would be great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me visualize ideas and organize content efficiently by allowing uploads of videos and images, and linking to different sources.

Miro’s Simple, Intuitive Boards Make Workshop Facilitation Effortless

  • January 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The greatest strength of Miro is its simplicity and intuitive design. Even when bringing in new team members or external stakeholders, they immediately understand how to navigate the board - it feels natural.

Beyond the basics, it is an incredible tool for organized facilitation. The specific features for meetings, such as hidden frames (which allow me to reveal content as the workshop progresses) and the integrated timers, keep our sessions focused and professional. It transforms a standard meeting into a highly productive visual workspace.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the canvas itself is simple, the pricing and sharing architecture can be quite frustrating. Navigating the different "spaces" and managing permissions often feels more complicated than it needs to be. It’s not always clear who has access to what, or which tier of seating we are using for specific guests, which adds an unnecessary administrative burden to an otherwise fluid tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has solved the "siloed communication" problem within my team. Before, our brainstorms and retrospectives often felt disorganized; now, we have a structured environment for Retros and Brainstorms where features like Voting ensure everyone’s voice is heard equally and we reach a consensus quickly.

Beyond just meetings, it serves as our primary visual communication hub. It allows us to translate complex ideas into clear, digestible schemes. Whether we are mapping out business processes, dependency charts, or User Journey Maps (UJMs), Miro gives us a shared language. The benefit is a significant reduction in misalignment - when we can visualize dependencies and flows in one place, we spot blockers much earlier than we would in a standard document or slide deck.
