Great Tool for Collaboration!

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The templates in Miroverse are super helpful! You don't have to recreate the wheel. Collaborating is so much easier in today's remote environment. We use it for PI events and retrospectives. It's been critical to our success.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you have many collaborators working on a board without the proper locks in place for the frames, it can get a little messy. We've seen random stickies duplicated all over the board for no apparent reason, but we just delete those.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to collaborate with hundreds of users all over the world during our PI planning events. This has made us able to focus on the right work that delivers substantial value for our business. It's very easy to use and adoption is increasing by the day!

My go-to tool for any visual or collaborative project

What do you like best about the product?
The robust design/presentation tools in Miro make it my go-to tool for any kind of presentation, planning documentation, or workflow chart.
What do you dislike about the product?
The zooming functionality can be difficult to calibrate depending on the type/scale of your design in Miro.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro provides a format for visual represenation that cannot be replicated in other tools like PPT. Where I would previously use other products like MS Office or Canva, I now use Miro for most presentations, visual representations of ideas, roadmaps, anything!

Great for brainstorming, whiteboarding and retrospectives

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is so versatile. You can use it for just about anything and there's a template for just about anything, too. I use it for brainstorming a lot: the variety of tools makes it easy to 'dump' ideas quickly and then order them nicely later on. Our team also uses it collaboratively for retrospectives; it's great to be able to gather feedback from a number of people and then group the feedback into categories that can later be used for discussion. We also use it to map out worklows, changes and associated implications, making it easy for team members to review and add feedback/questions. It's just so easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest 'peeve' is when the hand disappears! I never know what I've done to make it go away! It's easy enough to get back but if you're working on a large board and you suddenly lose the ability to drag with the hand and instead end up selecting a bunch of elements, it can be a bit frustrating!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gathering feedback from multiple sources on often complex probelms, providing a forum for discussion about potentially impactiful changes and helping to order large quantities of information into groups that can be collectively addressed.

Great for collaborative virtual white boarding & visualizing complex flows

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to collaborate with others live is a great way to get evevryone on the same page during working sessions. The visualization tools help boil down complex flows, connections, and potential collisions / areas of overlap to assist in developing plans to move forward.
What do you dislike about the product?
The template library is great, but sometimes I find the pre-built templates to not be as customizable as we would like. Being able to easy create custom shape components would be a great way to improve this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Virtual collaboration is one of the biggest benefits. As mentioned previously, the visualization of complex flows, experiences, and potential collisions help us plan accordingly.

Powerful and flexible

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has less boundaries and more freedom!
What do you dislike about the product?
takes sometime to learn all features, especially usage of the scroller on the mouse
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is like a multi-tool where you can use it for most of the things that are missing in Office-package and other "standard" tools

What do you like best about the product?
Miro has a tonne of templates if you don't want to start from scratch or need some inspiration!
What do you dislike about the product?
A little bit of a learning curve, but honestly, it was so quick - I just poked around and figured it out in no time at all!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping me think about things in different ways (the templates help me with that). Helps me future planning (mapping things out). I LOVE doing team brainstorming on Miro, it's great for team building/collaboration.

Visualization for change

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of how you can work, the collaboration and templates are my most valued Miro dimensions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes wish there were more shapes and design options. After a while everything looks like a stick note!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I helps me create a visualization for how the teams need to evolve or change. Sometimes people talk about process cha nge and do nothing about it. Miro helps us collaboratively visualize where we need change and what to. This has worked accross processes, org designs and project planning

Good diagramming and brainstorming tool

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and powerful diagramming features, process definition and collaboration. Tool allows owner to control parts of board for editing by other collaborators also.
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning and keeping up with new features does require users to do some exploration on their own, look for traninig videoes. Miro should look into providing context sensitive help navigation from board itself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for system diagrams, process flow diagrams and its easy to collaborate with other team members where they can add comments, mention / tag others also. Very useful.

As a visual person it helps to get my ideas down and structure my thoughts that is also presentable.

  • August 03, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
That there are no edges and it feels like an endless canvas for all sorts of notes and screenshots and diagrams that you can organise by framing objects and labelling with post its.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because I'm a user on my company's business account I'm unsure if my boards are private or publically available to everyone else in the company. It's not easy to see that I'm working in a personal space. Especially when I'm jotting down informal notes and ideas and projects are WIP I don't want this to be accessed by others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to visualise user journeys. By using the diagramming tools and organising content with tables and shapes it helps to get everything down and organise things into groups that I can then refine and highlight key details. The fact that there is an unlimited amount of space helps me to refine information so that I don't have to delete things and lose notes that have led me to a thought process, but also aren't necessary to include in a final summary that I can then present to colleagues.
