Collaborative and interactive tool

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ability to have multiple people collaborate in one space - have used it previously in a lot of workshops and team retros, and it's so useful to surface everything so quickly and easily
What do you dislike about the product?
It took me a while to get used to it - most of the icons and symbols are quite intuitive, but it takes a while to find out everything you can do. When I'm working or my laptop screen only I find it difficult sometimes to drag, drop, enlarge, etc
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it once a week with my team for our retro and a couple of times monthly on cross functional workshops where we are looking to get together and solve some issues
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch some videos about it or ask how other people use it/tips and tricks

Great collaboration tool for scetching and detailing complex ideas.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy start of this new tool for beginners and the possibility to dive deep into customization of the elements is needed.
Collaboration is super easy.
No comparable competitor was found.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks the addition for exporting your projects into vector-based drawings.
Otherwise, everything worked as intended; even the synchronization between webtool and iOS-App was perfect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are sketching the frame of interconnecting formulas of a complex calculator.
Your tool enabled us to draw our ideas quickly and even add some basic GUI designs with ease.

I love to use Miro to showcase my clients how a project will be like

What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy is to use the platform, and how many templates they have ready to use, that simplify the laborious part to create a project plan from scratch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not starting using the platform before, it's very helpful and visually is great to give a complete overview of how a project will be like
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualize a complete project plan and the different stages, coworkers involved with, tasks, timeline, mockups, etc

Project management made easy

What do you like best about the product?
I can create a multitude of different boards from Mind Maps, Brainstorming, Kanban Frameworks, Flow charts. There are plenty of templates you can choose from so it really assists you when you don't know where to being. It's super visual and has some create designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't been able to find any yet, but that is probably because there is so much you can do on it that I just haven't discovered what I dislike. Right now I can say I don't have any.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro to organise our projects so we get an accurate feel of when these will be completed, as well as who is responsible for those tasks. We have used it to help create a flow charts for training purposes and to allow the management team to have a board to brainstorm ideas.

Miro is one wonderful lethargy killer for me

What do you like best about the product?
The wide variety of graphics shapes texts and the ease with which all of them flow together is amazing.
I am surprised how they pulled it all together. I was using MindMeister before, but even Miro was expensive I migrated
myself as none of the other tools are even closer
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing so far. I wish they could integrate a To-Do list or Kanban board with the scheduling of the task. It will be a complete suite then. But the amount of template it has makes you not feel anything missing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From documents to scheduling everything. I have used it to build a schedule for my recent upgrade project, and I realized it is too friendly than wasting a lot of hrs on excel.

completely flexible way to collaborate virtually using a "white board"

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
So many templates to get started right away with collaborative brainstorming and other ideation meetings.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really. It's very easy to use and there are a lot of content starters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Miro to collabrate with clients to create journey maps, positioning ideation, personas, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Remember what you already know about running brainstorms in real life.

A brilliant way to collaborate and Ideate visually simultaneously

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's collaboration live between team members. There is no saving needed so you can just focus on doing the work. It's also super easy to follow other people's screens as they present which I find really handy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Being a sandbox to develop in it's easy for untrained users to mass post in an unorganised way making the boards visually cluttered. The templates are also a bit basic with no guidance on how to adapt them for your own use case. It would be great to be able to create your own template. Currently we copy paste one in as a hack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use miro to rationalise complex flows of processes into a easy to follow format. The main use case tho is documenting work and being able to annotate it in a collaborative forum. It's made real life workshops digital! It's great!

The most flexible collaboration tool

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miroverse is the most helpful asset for a quick collaboration workshop setup.
Long-time users, as well as new joiners, can easily take on this tool and provide the best experience for teams/stakeholders.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro lacks VR/AR features. These features would help to embody collaboration process and make it even funner to share ideas, create tools and enhance experience for everybody.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro for UX research and LXD purpose.
We collaborate faster with Miro and results are clearer than ever.
It is easy and fun for onboarding sessions with new team members.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the premium features.

Great and intuitive tool for working together

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
To save everything in one space without handling documents. Pre-filled templets and tools to help in most UX work
What do you dislike about the product?
Annoying that invitations do not always get sent. I would like to have to be able to do presentations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To be able to bring others in to my work. More interactive remote meetings. One source of truth. Connectivity to other applications

Miro is my preferred tool for "the new normal" hybrid workshops

  • November 25, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use of the UI. Whenever I bring new people to the tool, they don't take too long to use it efficiently. It is pretty intuitive, and I like it in general for workshops.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly appreciate that it uses too many resources. If you are on battery while using Zoom (which already uses a big chunk of energy) and Miro simultaneously, it will drain the battery really fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it mainly to perform workshops with groups from 5 to 20 users. The users are both internal and external.
I get a Zoom meeting with all and then divide the people in breakout rooms, then assign different areas of the board to teams. This has helped a lot to have good feedback from people enjoying the activities while still being effective.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro is a specially useful tool when trying to bring people together to collaborate virtually. Though, I've also used it as a central repository where all documentation of processes and results are added. The nice thing is that after a workshop is done in Miro the same board is handy to work through the results and create a report. So the board becomes both the place where things happen and a repository of results. I can then share it with stakeholders with comment access so they can review what has happened and what is coming next.
