Great tool for collaborative working

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am a SW engineer, and working simultaneously with your team on designing and architecting code involves a lot of diagramming. Rather than having one person do all the changes, Miro allows live and dynamic updates as the discussions are held
What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe with Miro is the inability to auto arrange my post-its in an evenly spaced manner. That feature works poorly and brings tears to my eyes. When my post its are inside a box, there should be an option to space it out in the box
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dynamic collaboration. Saves hours on going back and forth on things

Excellent tool!

What do you like best about the product?
Helps me a lot with facilitation, team buildings, explaining ideas, flow mapping and also to develop myself, I use in 1:1s and my individual development plan. It's a great tool!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that one of the things that would be very helpful is a good integration with Jira/Trello and also an improvement in the extraction tool for MS Excel, we use it a lot, but it could be better :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think that the main problem that miro solves for me is to "loot at something" while I explain things or while there is a discussion in place. I always draw on the walls and boards, but the remote life made my life difficult, and Miro solved this problem.

My experience with Freehand has been mostly positive but leaves some to be desired.

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The upside of using Freehand is the ease of sharing and collaborating with others. I also enjoy the templates available, I use them frequently in the design process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside of using Freehand is that it doesn't always sync with Sketch, which adds significant time/stress to my design workflow. Recently, larger files have been lagging/freezing during work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Freehand is helpful in the discovery and ideation phase of my design projects. It's helpful to quickly explore new ideas and sketch out UI concepts to share with others.

Terrific way of visualizing the work!

What do you like best about the product?
I truly enjoy the collaborative nature of Miro. The fact that everyone on my team can hop on and add content is super helpful. It allows me to understand better where people are coming from and lets me draw (literally) correlations between ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of using Miro is the licensing aspect. It would be great if there were a way to have a less expensive licensed option for business that doesn't allow for all of the bells and whistles. Many team members, for example, will stick to creating stickies and emojis and never use any templates or more advanced features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making everything visual and allowing connection points helps team members see the larger picture. Having the ability to create high-level roadmaps helps to understand the strategy. Other tech options (MS Whiteboard, Excel, etc.) are available today but are not nearly as effective.

A Flexible, Easy-to-Use Collaboration Powerhouse

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of use and the ease of entry into the system of Miro. You don't really need to go through a lot of hurdles or training to learn the system; it's very simplistic in the way it's used and very easy for everyone to pick up. I also appreciate the simplistic board views, like a Kanban board or a project task list board, and the sticky notes. It's a really easy way to get some thoughts down on the page quickly, and you can move them around to wherever you need them. Additionally, the initial setup was very easy, as we just use everything out of the box.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Gantt charting tool could be improved upon. The view isn't fantastic. There's a lot of empty space, and it's a little bit difficult to actually see exactly where the project is unless you zoom out really far. But then all the font is really small. So that view doesn't work fantastic. There's a better calendar tool or timeline tracking tool that's a little bit nicer in view that could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is great for tracking tasks, getting ideas on a board, and writing out requirements. It solves collaboration issues, especially for worldwide teams, by allowing everyone to work simultaneously on the same board. It's simplistic and easy to use, requiring no training.

Miro is the best for digital whiteboard collaboration

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's truly like a whiteboard. You can do anything in it and it's easy for everyone to use. Screenshots repositories with mark ups, user flows, progress boards. All super easy in Miro
What do you dislike about the product?
Organizing boards within our organization has been kind of tricky. Probably mostly our own fault but does seem like 'where did that one Miro board go' does happen fairly often
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to diagram a system so a group of people can look at it and analyze it.

Miro is an excellent tool for learning more about clients

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Collaborative in nature with strong tools for visualizing / whiteboarding. Easy navigation. Can save templates and modify templates easily. Many different ways to engage with others in the method that makes the most sense for the meeting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing substantial. Could use easier methods of organizing text at points.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Main purpose is using Miro for discovering more about potential clients. It makes the process more visual and collaborative in nature which is quite helpful versus PPT/word.

Overall, a very powerful tool but lacking some useful features

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is the easiest tool to interact with. When it comes to bringing your idea to paper, Miro provides quick solutions such as a broad range of templates, which I like the most. I think for Designers like myself that work closely with POs, it's important to have a tool that both can use.
What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to organizing the boards, I find it sometimes difficult to find the specific board that I'm looking for. Maybe having the ability to folder the boards could be useful, but also inside boards, I wish I could organize my stuff more. Maybe something like Figma where you can have pages inside each board.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think Miro is a very simple tool that comes between Designers and Non-designers to simply communicate through visuals rather than verbally speaking about it. With Miro, in my organization, everyone just simply hop on and draw something to visualize their ideas. I found this significantly helpful to communicate within a team.

  • May 09, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
the re-useable frameworks are great. Plus the coverage of functional areas are very good
What do you dislike about the product?
I love Miro and dont have any specific comments on drawbacks
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
client pitches need a strawman
