A software too complete
What do you like best about the product?
It is an application that I use every day to download my ideas and make diagrams.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that it does not have an offline mode to work without a connection is a disadvantage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is being able to have everything in the same application, such as diagrams, posts, among others.
Miro = more interactive classes!
What do you like best about the product?
Using Miro has been amazing because it allows my students to engage interactively together without needing to log in! I appreciate that there are numerous features available that enable my students to annotate texts in my Language Arts 10 class. I utilize Miro for almost all of my virtual Live Classes for my LA 10 Honors students. It has been very easy to integrate into my existing lessons!
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not really come across anything that I dislike about using Miro. Initially, I was overwhelmed by seeing a ton of cursors on the screen, so I was very relieved when I realized that I could disable that feature. Beyond that, $10 a month is a bit pricy, yet I've decided that it is well worth it, considering that my students are actually engaging with my slides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After Jamboard was disabled, I was on the lookout for a new interactive platform. Miro provided exactly what I needed. It allows my students to add their ideas to my slides, showing their comprehension and working together to develop their opinions on what we read in class. I was specifically looking for a platform that did not require my students to have accounts to log in, and Miro was one of the only platforms I found that allowed students to join as guests. This is helpful because it makes the experience more accessible for my kids and lets them get to the lesson even faster.
Every-day user in product management
What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Miro is its intuitive design and collaborative features. It allows teams to brainstorm, plan, and visualize ideas together in real time, which is especially helpful when working remotely. The main advantages for me are its flexibility, the wide variety of templates available, and how easily it connects with materials from other sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can feel a bit messy and it's sometimes difficult to keep things organized, especially when navigating between frames and trying to locate the right one. Scaling content is also problematic. For example, when working on an opportunity-solution tree and adding comments to stickies or other elements, as the tree grows, the comments, notes, and screenshots can get shifted around, making the structure confusing and the tree harder to follow. Occasionally, it can take some time to find the right tools or options, particularly for new users or for features that are used less frequently. There is a bit of a learning curve, and managing large boards becomes challenging without a clear structure or consistent discipline.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this tool for organizing team work, running scrum meetings, and facilitating workshops. I especially appreciate the voting option, which makes collaboration more interactive. It also helps with planning work and creating roadmaps, as well as making diagrams and mapping customer journeys. Additionally, I find it useful for building opportunity solution trees.
Miro is a great tool, that works great for collaborating in teams
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is easy to use, great for visually displaying a lot of data and can be used simultaneously amongst team mates.
What do you dislike about the product?
When creating large boards with lots of images or sections it can start to become laggy when making edits or trying to scroll to different sections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro is helping us to brainstorm and problem solve ideas by creating an area for us to throw all our idea together in one place and discuss and organise them as a team. It is also helping us document our process as we go along.
Collaboration Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility and wide range of template options make collaborating with team members seamless. We can work individually or during team meetings to brainstorm and capture ideas with ease. Using the Miro boards helps our teams get into a creative flow when working on projects. It also makes it simple to identify challenges thanks to the visualizations available in Miro.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, choosing a template can be challenging because there are so many options available. Organizing the templates by category is helpful and makes the process easier. However, if a new team member joins and is not familiar with Miro, this lack of familiarity can make it harder for them to participate fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to capture information for upcoming conferences. It also helps me reflect on projects, allowing me to identify what went well and spot opportunities for improvement in the future. Additionally, I rely on Miro for preparing presentations, and organizing sales materials, including content for our website.
Positive - Utility of Miro for MSc Human-Computer Interaction Dissertation Project
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Miro for me was the collaborative features. This meant I could run an online workshop through it where in-person was not possible.
What do you dislike about the product?
There weren't many things I disliked but one would be limited aspect ratio for sticky notes. Another would be that arrows snapping to image edges can be annoying when trying to annotate content within an image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helped me solve the problem of a UX workshop (utilising co-design elements) where it was not feasible to do so in person as participants lived far apart and person injury limited my own mobility. Although Miro was not designed for this specific use (I'm sure if it was that would limit it's versatility, though perhaps some processes like thematic analysis could be built in?), it was very useful as features like voting and sticky notes supported how these workshops are conducted in industry.
Nice and easy tool for team work
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how simple it is to use and how fast I can put my ideas on board. It’s great for team collab and planning things visually. The templates also saves a lot of time. I use it almost everyday for brainstorming and it makes team discussion much smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it takes a bit long to load specially when the board has too many items. Also few times it lags when multiple people edit together. The mobile version is not that easy to use, I prefer desktop only. But overall still a good experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps a lot in team collaboration. Earlier it was messy to manage ideas or plan projects together specially when everyone is working remote. Now it’s easy to put all things on one board and discuss visually. It saves time in meetings and makes communication more clear. I can also track project flow better now
Miro for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
I find that for traditional project management, Miro is excellent at dependency mapping. It can also help with visualizing the critical path. I also like the collaboration functions. It very very easy to get started as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not see an easy way to add dates to cards or traditional project management templates. I was able to make my own boards though without a template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visual of project management WBS. Also tracking what has been done and what is next.
Great platform for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many ways to engage with the platform - from mindmapping and prototyping, to process working, to collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing particular - i really enjoy Miro as is!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Collaborative whiteboarding is a big one!
Great product for collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to collaborate in real time with clients and stakeholders, sharing our development progress as it happens. Our clients appreciate being involved in the process, and Miro has helped us save a significant amount of time that we previously spent formatting decks.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface feels somewhat clunky, and for some reason, I find the controls to be a bit outdated. I believe it would be helpful if you could set user standards and typicals, as well as assign specific colors to individual team members.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps me save time and present ideas that are still in development. It allows me to study concepts quickly and gather feedback much faster.
